batmanfan612 Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 Aw. If it wasn't for Dream a Dream, I wouldnt even be into DDR. This is indeed a sad day R.I.P Captain Jack
Teddymonster Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 NOW who will Billy Joel write his songs about? So sad.
YoshiFan Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 Very sad to hear. I have always enjoyed his music in DDR and in the 2nd mix - 5th mix days where he had a lot of songs to contribute to a mix (like in 3rd mix he had 3 songs which is a lot for 1 artist). What really sucks is that he possibly could have avoided this for the time being as the articles on DDR Freak say he refused to change his lifestyle. I hope that in honor of him and his music Konami is able to put even more of his music in future DDR games (new songs, not just his songs from older DDR games new to the US).
CoasterCrazy Posted October 23, 2005 Posted October 23, 2005 Dream a Dream is one of my favorite songs in DDR!
zongaboy626 Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 thats sad "hey o capitan jack take me back to the railroad track" i guess he will never take me there
Wackyboxer Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 I was sad to hear about this. I first heard his music on the Whootah video contest entry last year. I really enjoy his music and several months ago I was able to get our local public library to purchase his Greatest Hits album and I really hope that will allow his music to live on forever around here. Rest In Peace Cap'n.
socalMAN123 Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 That's really sad. I loved his songs in DDR and would listen to him whenever I had a chance. Brent "What a sad day for DDR fans" Shenton 8)
Nemmy Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 And so ends the tragic tale of the man with enough balls to perform Village People songs with lots of chicks... Jeff "Maybe he was a hermaphrodite" Arons
Wes Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 I wonder how the white kids who can't dance community is taking this?
Mr.Six Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 I wonder how the white kids who can't dance community is taking this? We're not taking it well at all Never got into DDR but it seems like he created something millions of others enjoyed. _six
Chrissie Posted October 24, 2005 Posted October 24, 2005 Wow thats quite tragic. As much as I despised Captain Jack, I would never wish that on anyone. Esp as he was only 43! RIP Captain Jack
