You are the owner of Cedar Point type what rides, shops, prices, etc. would you take out/ and or change.

I would take out the Corkscrew and add a Huss Giant Topspin with a tornado theme and put a new log flume ride. Also I would give the Mantis to Michigan's Adventure and build a Intamin Wooden Coaster in the Mantis place.

I would:

- Burn all the coasters and add 100 new kiddie rides.

- Fill the rapids with cement and make it a scenic trail.

- Disassemble maXair and replace it with a Round-Up

- Push Magnum into Lake Erie

- Double all food prices

- Serve Hard Liquor at all Counter Service restaurants

- Invite Slayer to play at Red Garters .... everyday!

- Raise ticket prices to $100 while instituting a $1 Line Hopping Pass

- Raise the minimum work age to 35

Aren't you all glad I am not running the show

^LMAO. Just the thought of combining 100 kiddie rides with daily Slayer performances is hilarious enough.

I had plenty of time to think about this this summer during my tenure in Sandusky so I'm ready for this question. This could get a wee bit lengthy and crazy. Keep in mind that my changes would be over time, not instant.

-Call me a bastard, but I would take out Wildcat and add a Gerstlauer Bobsled or Spinning coaster in it's place. Wildcat is such a pain to operate.

-Give Cedar Creek Mine Ride the axe and throw in a B&M Flyer.

-Burn down Mean Streak in the greatest light show the state of Ohio has seen since the Cuyahoga River Burning and add a massive B&M Floorless.

-Add various flats around the park, particularly in the Frontier area of the park.

-Theme everything.

-Take out Demon Drop and put in a Intamin Stand-Up Gyro Drop.

-Rework and retrack Blue Streak.

-Add a tall waterslide complex to Soak City.

-Take out Mantis , and put in an Intamin Woodie.

-Begin building Parking Garages at the back of the parking lot, take out the employee parking lot and start moving the front of the park towards the causeway to expand the park.

I guess that's about it for now.

I really had to laugh at that... I'll rent the charter boat!

I would reprice the cost of a 20 oz. pop ($3.50).

my prices would compete with that of holiday world's, except I'd have entry price about the same, but the free coke, and food thing goes. I would remove Mean Streak and replace it with a Gravity Group wooden coaster, and re track all the other wooden coasters at least once every other year (more if need be). And take all trims off of rides. If it needs to be trimmed, then it needs to be removed (thats my theory anyways! ) And thats about the only thing I think I would change.

If I was serious business person owning it:

* make it easier to get there, have some strong transport options from Cleveland (like a bus, other than greyhound), kind of like jump on a plane and get to the point.

*I would put signs up pointing to the rides etc, like Magic Mountain.

*Make it the best kids park on the planet, as well as the best amusement park - for every major coaster put in a kiddie version, for example.

*Have a side show alley with some cool dark rides, fun ones, not necessarly Disney standard.

*Put some totally demented wild mouse ride in the disaster transport building.

*fix the bottle necks getting to the point by car like the causeway.

If I was an enthusiast owning it:

*instal as close as possible to an exact copy of Ride of steel (SFNE)

*put in the best woodie the world has ever seen

*instal a version of X that actually works all the time

*an extreme water ride like Perilous Plunge

*add a record breaking invert, floorless or otherwise

*add to Dragster, more air for the Force, and make Wicked Twister full circuit with heaps of extra elements

*relocate Mean Streak to the bottom of lake erie.

If I Owned Cedar Point....Overtime, I'd:

*Re-track Mantis, to smooth out the "rough spots" and re-paint the track yellow, with yellow ties, Silver rails and Green supports to match the "Mantis" theme.

*Just re-paint Raptor something other than the 3 diffrent shades of green.

*I'd decrease the height of top thrill dragster just by 50 to 80 feet, and add a float hill that swoops to the left, right into the world's biggest Sea Serpent Roll, a Hammer-Head curve and a helix should do.

*I'd get rid of Wicked Twisters, open the area a little bit and construct custom Vekoma SLC, with new (and less painfull) retstraints..name the coaster Drakken.

*Remover Magnum, sell the coaster to another park, and construct a 245 ft. B&M Hyper, using Magnums out-and back path, but a more twisted layout. Name it The Widow. Black track, Purple ties & Silver rails, Purple Suppoprts.

*Make Soak City apart of the ride all day ticket.

*Re-locate Corkscrew & Power tower to another area in the park and build a compact B&M Floorless coaster with 5 invesions. Name it Monsum. Cyan Track, cyan ties, silver rails and Navey Blue Supports.

*Constuct a Intamin Launch coaster, has a bank-curve that goes over and around Millennium Force's first Drop. Name it Roadster....

*Keep up the parks beautiful appearance.

Thats all i can think of at the moment.

Any suggestion that brings up the Cuyahoga River fire gets my vote!

I'd suggest Strippers running the 100 kiddie rides.

Turn the Breakers in The Brothel!

And Vekoma's. Must add lots of Vekomas!

Flying(I remember the river fire)SCooter.

Funny thing is ... anyone can "own" Cedar Point.

Cedar Point's operations suck so bad this year, they might as well be called Knott's Midwest!

There, I totally just "owned" Cedar Point. o___O
