Hello, once again! Well, I will release one final video trip report, for now. Its definitely shorter and less funny than the others…so watch if your bored!..lol.

Anyway, this video documents my trip to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, which I found to be rather enjoyable. It was my first time there. You see, I had to go to Santa Cruz for a wedding, so to make the most of the weekend, we decided to go over to this boardwalk. The star attraction would have to be the Giant Dipper, a 76 year old (brb…checking rcdb), Frank Prior and Frederick Church model. It is only 70 ft tall, but I found it to be the best wooden coaster I have ever been on! …Er, I have been on about six wooden roller coasters…lol. But regardless, it had no competition against the Grizzly, Roar, Colossus, Psyclone, and, yes, Ghostrider. Now I just need to test it against Bellmont Park’s ride!

Well, the video is rather short, and I am really only putting it out for no reason! The quality sucks for some reason this time. Oh yea! It still has to be 10 mb’s. When Steven Speildberg and George Lucas sat down to brainstorm their ideas for Indiana Jones 2, they essentially carried over every idea they had from Indy 1, that they didn’t use. Well, I have been doing that for the past two trip reports, and, as you can tell, Im just about out of ideas. So, I am going on a little brake after this! So watch it…and hopefully, enjoy it!

Wow! What can I say! That was a Great Trip Report!!!

Your Video was one of the Best I've seen. The Music was a Perfect, and the Video Footage was Very Entertaining! (Nice Editing by the way)

Overall, a Job Very Well Done!

I Personally Visited Santa Cruz just over 10 years ago, and I had a Great Time! I Rode all the Rides, and Pumped lots of Quarters into the "Tempest" Video Game!

I liked the Giant Dipper, and had a Great Ride! I hope I get the chance to visit Santa Cruz again in the Near Future! It's a Classic Small Town Theme Park by the Sea.

I completely agree with you about the Dipper. I used to live about a block away from the Boardwalk so I would go all the time. The Dipper was the first wooden coaster I'd ever been on. I assumed that if a 76 year old coaster would be that smooth, that most woodies would be that smooth. It's such a great ride. IMO, the only woodie that beats the Dipper is Lightening Racer at Hershey Park. But then again, they're completely different rides.

Great video, would liked to have seen more onride of the Dipper though. Greatest ride out there. The grease in the first half of the tunnel, that's like a religious experience there.

Wow - that was very impressive, especially the syncing of the music with the various rides. Excellent editing there.

One more credit I know I should have gone on, back in 1975. Or later on.

Great TR.

Holy crap!

Thanks guys! I appreciate all of your comments, very much!

It makes it worth it!

I felt like I was watching Indiana Jones at first

And people complain about too many taxes! I would like to thank the bumpy roads for that!

where do you get the soundtrack to the rides?

Disney sells the soundtracks for their parks. Well, at least at the California parks, but I believe they do for all. My friend happens to have the DCA soundtrack.

I guess I have to do another one of these now! My Senior Class President just told me May 11 is Grad night at Disneyland, so that should be interesting...but its awhile away...I'll have to make some until then.

P.S. Did anyone notice that we were driving on the wrong side of the road in the Ocean scene? In truth, my dad made the HUGE mistake of driving up the 5 (right down the middle of California), where there is nothing to see but agriculture. That made me mad, because I was planning to get that shot of the ocean. So, on the way back we drove the 101, and I got my ocean shot. Thing is, the ocean was on the right, and you can tell we were going south...a simple mirroring should do the trick, but it then looked as if we were in the wrong lane!
