Gutterflower
Does anyone know how to change the water color? For some reason my lakes all look like they are full of milk and not water. it's an issue with running the game on "Fastest" mode in the current version. If you up the settings a bit in the splash screen that opens before the game runs it should fix it.

Press Space while placing them. Works with everything I think. Also hold shift to lift the ride up or down too.
Midgetman82
Acording to Seibioff the next version will include the First person and coaster riding mods written by the community too Hacked in a decent looking mine train. Unfortunately it doesn't work too well as the trains currently act as steam trains so the friction setting is a lot higher and the trains go a lot slower. Looks nice though From how they've treated those community-made mods, I'd bet they would be friendly enough to properly import it into the game if you brought it up to them. It looks neat! (Also, it's probably more acceptable if you say "modded-in" a mine train coaster )
Midgetman82
Gonna re-bump this real quick to mention that a new update is out, and includes a Mac-compatible version in it.
CoasterB
So I through my $15 Dollars in got the game on Mac. I really like it so far. Its simple but kind of realistic at the same time. I'm in mega debt in the game because I just wanted to build everything. The game has some good rides, I mainly like the coaster building tool, It gives you lots of options for elements and layouts I just wish there was a sandbox kind of option to build parks as well. I thought i'd share some screen shots of what i'v done so far.
Midgetman82
They mentioned the financial aspect of it is still being worked on. Everyone's parks should be up for bankruptcy by now! Built a new Eurofighter while $93,000+ under!
Geauga Dog
Outside of the shallow coaster drops the game looks good. How many different rides does the game offer now?
Paradox
I love that you can make element sizes bigger!
Midgetman82
How many different rides does the game offer now? Currently 16 flat rides, 7 coasters, 2 transport rides, and one log flume.
Gutterflower
7 Coaster types are standard. But with some save game modification you can create some more.
A.J.
Wow, I'm impressed. It took RCT2 players years to make a coaster that even comes close to Supersonic Odyssey.

Garet
Please give me the links for those mods. I see those coasters on here: https://parkitectnexus.com/files/blueprint
Gutterflower
Sorry for the delay These aren't mods a such but save game edits. Theres a good starters guide here http://www.r201.com/2015/09/bending-the-rules-parkitect/ But as pointed out these coasters are available on Parkitectnexus. The best way would be to download them and install them in a blank park, then inspect the save game to see how they were changed.
Midgetman82
Devlog #68, Parkitect get's spooky and throw's in a new coaster-type! (Photo is from link above)
Garet
^But will one guest slow down stupidly slow and cause a stack of cars going down the slope? And will the guests faces turn red when it happens?
Midgetman82
I built the alpine coaster in my now larger-than-life park. Also, I'm finally experiencing lag as well as game crashes with this park in particular... I could only guess why. North side Alpine coaster is the tiny track in the top-left within the dense forested area. Alpine coaster zipping along I made a little separate station since guests couldn't exit until they made it to the end. ^But will one guest slow down stupidly slow and cause a stack of cars going down the slope? And will the guests faces turn red when it happens? All of the guests seem to slow down as much as each other, but the weird thing I'm noticing is that an empty sled will run full-speed down the course. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KL2I5tlxQw8
Gutterflower
Enjoying the new updates. The building pieces are very simple at the moment (only 1 texture) but things should improve as more scenery is made. Been messing around with my main park. Midgetman82
^Nice park! I finally tried out the mods, and boy does it improve the game! I'm so much more used to the flying camera of RCT3 that this feels way better than the isometric camera! Monolith Also, they were quick to release the 4b alpha to fix the lagging issue, which is nice.
Midgetman82
Pre-Alpha 5 was released: New Bobsled Coaster Type Some of the current coasters received new car types. 6-seat, 4-seat (original), and 2-seat New dragon and mine cart trains. These and some smaller enhancements added, including an helper for scenery placement and new sounds for some coasters (highlighted at the link up top). Midgetman82
So the team had been slowly working on this game and are currently on to Pre-Alpha 8 (and price hasn't changed). A lot of stuff happened since the last post, but I'll just highlight the major ones: -Dark Rides now exist, and the cars can do controlled rotation. -Inverted coasters now exist: -The Zierer Star Shape now exists: -Entrances and exits can come straight out like usual, or be built off to the side: -A modder who was creating nice building sets for the community is now making some for the official game. -More scenery -New staff room -New sounds -Etc. Next update: -They plan to add that one crazy Tourbillion ride:
Rill'o'beily
I like the fact that they're going for realism when it comes to their flatrides *cough cough*
fraroc
One this is for certain about the new indie-made Theme Park simulators, they look like they were designed by enthusiasts for enthusiasts.
Pirate
There should be a mode for the game, where you should select a year (e.g 1980, 2014, 2001) and it shows rides that were in production that year.
