rcjp Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 The second one is really messed. From the back to back loops that sort of look like a batwing with a different entrance and exit. To the non-banked turn after the loops, and then the weird corkscrews. I am just glad the engineers are a little better with the mainstream companies (Arrow, B&M, etc) OMG only now with your post did I notice the turn after the loops is completely unbanked
GwaziBSRider1 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I didn't notice it either! Damn, that thing must be awful. Of course, being the idiot credit whore that I am wouldn't stop me from riding it...
MFJorts Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 What shall we name the deformed corkscrew? http://themeparkreview.com/forum/images/smilies/headbash_119.gif Corkscrewed-up?
rcjp Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 ^ I didn't notice it either! Damn, that thing must be awful. Of course, being the idiot credit whore that I am wouldn't stop me from riding it... Haha! me too. I would actually like to try one of these seriously messed up coasters as I haven't been on any.
viking86 Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 That looks absolutely terryfying!! It does make me wonder what the designers are thinking when they build these rides...
hey...hey Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 Hold up folks, I might be seeing something. It looks like the non-banked turn leads to the lift and also comes from the corkscrews. It is kind of hard to see from that angle.
rcjp Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 ^I don't think so. The turn connecting the lift and the station goes under the turn of death. There only turn after the corkscrews leads to the brake run.
hey...hey Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 ^So I guess I was right with the unbanked turn after the loop to the corkscrews...that make me sick just looking at it again.
shivtim Posted November 7, 2014 Posted November 7, 2014 Hmm, I don't think the train is supposed to separate like that... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un_h400LW-U
rcjp Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Hmm, I don't think the train is supposed to separate like that... Of course it was!! It's a ride feature.
Gutterflower Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Not trying to flog a dead horse but dug up some better pics of the new Zhipao ride with the terrible banking. Source: VHCoasters
rcjp Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 I wonder how all their necks didn't break during that turn.
HAZE Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Let's play a game. Would you rather ride: Screwcork Wonderwinder
fraroc Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 Let's play a game. Would you rather ride: I'd call it the "Go Home Max Immelmann, You're Drunk"
Gutterflower Posted November 8, 2014 Posted November 8, 2014 I rode that last month.. It's weird as it doesn't look anything like that image. So I have no idea whats going on with those pictures anymore. While it wasn't anywhere near as bad as that image. It wasn't a good ride by any means.
cfc Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 How does it compare to a real Vekoma? Imagine repeatedly enduring a rear-end car collision for about a minute or so--that's the Chinese version of an SLC. The Vekoma original is buttery smooth by comparison.

rcjp Posted November 9, 2014 Posted November 9, 2014 Let's play a game. Would you rather ride: Now this you be a very nice trap! To unlock the device you must ride the knock-off SLC!

Imagine repeatedly enduring a rear-end car collision for about a minute or so--that's the Chinese version of an SLC. The Vekoma original is buttery smooth by comparison. Wow. Even more so the Gouderix? Haven't been on Goudurix yet, but I can pretty much guarantee Goudurix is smoother.
