crispy
OK, well it was the last day of the seaon yesterday for Cliff's, I HAD TO GO, why you ask, is it becasue I just HAD to ride th Rattler one last time for the season, yeah, maybe that, and I had two rainchecks that would be worthless if I didn't use them I was sick, it had been a crappy night at work, and niether Corina nor I really wanted to go, but $42 bucks, i just CAN't waste that We arrived and there WAS A LINE, AMAZING, we went around to costomer service and got right in. Corina took the kids and went to the Kiddie area and I went right to Rattler, I got three rides in a row, all walk on's very front, very back, and about two rows up from the back The front was better than I thought it would be, some good airtime, and being able to see was cool The Back RULES, massive airtime, the kind that flings you up into the lapbar, AWESOME, never rode in the VERY back i then went to the Kiddie area and took over as Corina rode the Rattler, she rode twice, then we met back up to cruise around the park The rest of the day was spend on more family rides, the waterslides are great, Mickey REALLY likes them, she keeps wanting to go on the black slide, but its pitch black, and I'm afraid it will scare her Anyway, on to the pics, should be ALOT of them Filled up attachments, more pics.......... 100_1402.MOV a VERY short quicktime file of one of the great airtime hills, this is butt lifting air in the back a great view from the back side of the park From across the park, the coaster Dominates the park this coaster FLIES through the whole course a view of the great first drop, from the Taco Bell parking lot a great airtime moment Here we go into the tunnel If you look, you can See Corina riding, right in the middle, by herself, holding on for dear life look at the Drop from below as for me, I went to ride the Rattler Mickey needed a bit of help, she won a squirt gun We then went and played the fishing game Why did they have these when i was a kid at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk? Kiddie bumper cars To bad it was closed, she actually did want to ride it and really enjoyed it she rode it ALOT The Frog Hopper Mickeys favorite kiddie ride uh a kiddie ride that goes up and down, yipee the "Mini" yoyo, i wasn't allowed on Mickey, uh riding a ride Kiddie turtle ride Kiddie teacups, its still working after I rode it last time AMAZING its closed, you can imagine my heartbreak that i didn't have to sqeeze my fat ass into this thing one of the the rides ont working, including the Train (down for rehab all season) and the water monkey adventure Little man, is less impressed Here is the obviously overjoyed ride worker helping Mickey into her seat We enetr the park, I head for thr Rattler, and Corina and Family head for the Kiddie area As we enter the park, theres actually a LINE, and a long one Edited September 27, 2005 by crispy

ebl
Cliff's may be a small park, but it looks like a fun one anyway. For some reason it reminds me of Wonderland in Amarillo (I went there in May). Very nice report. Eric

SteveC
Anyway, we actually had a GREAT time, after my three rattler rides, I was a VERY happy person Great to see the park on such a sunny day. In June last, I got rainchecked after 3 hours and only managed 1 ride on the Rattler Having bombed down from Denver that morning there was no time to go back the next day - as it was a slog onto Las Vegas. (Tours wait for no man, or weather interference ) Just looking at all the empty seats made me quite depressed - don't know when I'll be back to ride again. Streve- sorry about the sad faces in this post -C

moinab
As others have mentioned, the baby is just too cute for words, but I have to mention that your daughter is beautiful, too! Great TR, as always. It reminds me of so many of the parks I went to when I was growing up, that don't exist anymore.
SteveC
I'm VERY sorry to hear that, yeah, New Mexico weather can be VERY unpredictable, which SUCKS But if you get back here ever, let me know Hey that cheers me up thanks - I did ride - second back and it is a brilliant ride - for some reason my memory makes me think that it was a bit too short -( I mean so much happening to the very end - no gentle tail off here that maybe I felt short changed) but I think that is because I only rode the once. Also on the plus side - we weren't so much rained off as lightening stormed off which was just spectacular 8) - so it was a bit like a coaster tour with a bit of a 'Wild Weather Tour' thrown in to make up for the bad news - and I got to keep my weather check ticket as a souvenir Steve - Happy faces now replacing the sad faces after all-C
crispy
it seems short, cause after the first drop, it really doesn't stop, or slow down to much its about a minute, a bit short, but worth every second
Costakid
Nice Pics, makes me want to drive back to Albuquerque and visit Cliff's again. Sigh, good times at Cliff's, and Albuquerque in general. Not much beats Rattler's first drop in the back. Even more so after the ride has warmed up a bit (this thing kicks some serious arse later on in the day).
Erik Johnson
Its hard to pick and choose what photos to use. I took around 160 pictures for our WDW AK/MGM Photo TR a few weeks ago. Though I think I used around 50-60 or so...I honestly can't remember. The Rattlers looks like a great woodie.

crispy
WOOHOO Well, I emailed Cliff's, and they actually replied Probably because how many times i went this year Anyway, I asked why they closed at the end of September, with about 100,000 tourist entering the city for Balloon Fiesta, I also told them to go get Viper from SFAW, it's bigger than the galaxi, but I bet they could make it fit anyway, here's what they replied, and I wonder if they stayed open BEFORE the Rattler was built, its alot diffrent now than it was Hi Chris! We used to be open through October, and we just didn't have the kind of crowds that made it possible to stay open. Also, keep in mind that 95% of our work force are high school students. That's why we close down when school starts. Thanks for your comments and input. We'll see you in April! not much, I know, but at least i got in the Viper part
