Let me make something clear...

I don't have an issue with Brony's, I have an issue with "Creepy" Brony's.

Ok, fine. I find the whole idea of an adult male heavily into a little girls TV show creepy, but it's really those SERIOUSLY CREEPY ones that really freak me out. We've had Brony's on our trips, there are even a couple that we hang out with, and as long as they don't mind getting poked fun at (I mean, seriously, you're a dude that likes a show aimed at little girls) we have a great time together. You HAVE to be able to laugh at yourself if you're into My Little Pony and you're NOT a little girl.

It's the ones that cross the line that REALLY bother me and those are the ones I complain about.

Example - We were at Build-A-Bear and some Brony's showed up wearing shirts and carrying their Pony stuffed animals. Hugging and kissing them like they were their girlfriends. (not making this up!) All of a sudden my six year old daughter was interested in what they were doing and one of them even started to talk to her. And since they were wearing something that was related to something she's into, she was more inclined to talk back.

I've seen Tumbr pages filled with fanmade "pony porn." (Search "brony porn tumblr" and be prepared!!!) People talking to their Pony's like they are actual humans. I've heard of people meeting up so that their pony's can hang out together.

That is SERIOUSLY NOT APPROPRIATE AND CREEPY AS HELL!!!!

THIS IS A SHOW MADE FOR CHILDREN NOT FOR ADULT MEN TO GET OFF IN THEIR BIZARRE SEXUAL FANTASY WORLD!!!

And I wish more of the "Brony's" would understand this.

You cannot go around talking to strangers children because you're both into a TV Show. It's not appropriate to be wearing clothing or carrying stuffed animals that are going to attract attention of children!

THAT"S CREEPY!!!!!

Some of them don't understand this. And THOSE are the ones I have the biggest issue with.

And many of the Brony's I know actually DO understand this. And the ones that don't, well, stay away from me and my family. You're creepy.

Well, I'm definitely not a brony, but I've seen a couple episodes and it's actually pretty funny. Reminds me of the Powerpuff Girls. But I definitely don't understand how obsessive people get.

^ Right. There is a HUGE difference between "Oh, hey, I like this show." and "Oh, hey, I like this show and let me, a total creepy adult male stranger, turn up someplace wearing merchandise and carrying around a stuffed animal and attract your daughters attention."

And the other frustration about Brony's, coming from a parent, is that my child, who actually plays with toys because, she's a child, they make it much harder for me to walk into Target and buy her toys because creepy 30 year olds are buying them and collecting them!!!

Do you know exactly how frustrating it is for KidTums to go "Oh, hey, I'd like Pinkie Pie for Christmas" and it's a pain in the butt to get it for her because some 46 year old man just bought seven of them so he can go home and masturbate with them.

And I'm NOT making this stuff up!!! This ACTUALLY HAPPENS!!!!

^ LOL! Seriously, we've had quite a few Brony's get mad at us for my postings like this, but if any of them want to get on our good side, you're more than welcome to send KidTums some pony stuff instead of hording it all for yourselves!

We just ask that you send her stuff new in the package, not anything "used" which could be covered in lube!

It's like real life Trevor from GTA5... wow.

Wow... I didn't even know this was a thing. I don't know if that makes me feel old and out of touch or fortunate because until now I never knew this ridiculous group of people existed.

I had to Google it when I first heard about it and then had a "Wait...what?" moment when I saw what it meant.

To each his own, I suppose...but it definitely falls into the 'downright strange and a wee bit creepy' department for me.

This is my thoughts exactly. While I totally get the concept that there is a "fetish or fandom for everything" I don't want my daughter exposed to it simply by walking into a Build-A-Bear. You know?

People just need to realize what is and isn't appropriate and when something should and shouldn't be heavily publicized.

^ Even though I don't have a daughter, if I did and I saw some guy clutching a stuffed animal trying to strike up a conversation with her in a children's store, it would be very difficult for me to not respond in a negative manner!

I imagine that any concerned parent would do the same!

It happens that the 2010 cartoon series was developed by Lauren Faust, who (along with her husband Craig McCracken) was one of the people behind Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, both very creative and funny shows known for appealing to a wide variety of ages. So because of the real talent behind the show it's actually very possible for adults to enjoy it unironically. Some people discovered this and made watching it into a "thing". Like all "things" in the internet age, it was taken a little too far, then taken a little farther, then here we are.

Though it should be noted that like Robb said, there are fans of the show who aren't creeper-weirdos.

^ See, you're really missing the point. The people in that video are doing their own thing at their own event. I'm fine with that.

It's when they start doing stuff in a public environment where there are children around that don't understand that some of these people go home and draw pictures of their ponies f**king and they jerk off to that is what bothers me.

Like I said, I don't have an issue with Brony's, I have an issue with "creepy" Brony's.

--Robb "But I will still make fun of ALL of them!" Alvey

ps. Remember, I make fun of myself for being a theme park geek, so if you can't handle being made fun of because you're a man that likes a little girls TV show, you have other issues to sort out!
