That paint job...

This wasn't Intamin's first wooden coaster. American Eagle was their first, then they went and got themselves in the mess that was Pegasus at Efteling. Jupiter was Curtis D. Summers' last coaster, partnered with Intamin, as Dinn Corp broke apart due to their Dutch disaster. Intamin only built 2 more after that, White Cyclone in 1994 and the now defunct Aska in 1998. Very sporadic after their steel coasters took off. It was then in 2001 Intamin built their last traditional wooden coaster, Elf, before Colossus opened the same year as their first coaster using the wood pre-fab track.

I don't understand how some people look like they're actually having fun on this compared to the people who are in the correct "oh my god, what is this ride doing to my body?" position. Poor Stacey in that wheel seat looks like she's going to die!

I actually think I would have enjoyed the ride if it wasn't for the weird train modifications. There were handles bolted to the inside of train, and no matter how I moved my body I could not get my knees from digging in to them.

Maybe it's the short people who are looking like they are having fun!

I never thought Roar was all that bad, but I haven't ridden it in a few years. Great shot of it, though.

Donderstenen

Is it just me, or does the front car on Donderstenen look odd? Seems like you wouldn't be able to see much with that decorative rock in the way if you're sitting on the right side of the car (as in the seat next to the kid)!

My first visit to Universal Studio's in Orlando was during Halloween Horror Nights.

So much awesomenes during this visit in 08.

Yeah, 2008 was a good year for HHN--love the atmospheric shots, Hanno.
