mike541x
While I wouldn't call it a near death experience, Skyrush is one ride that feels like you slip out of the lapbar and fly out at any airtime hill or overbanked turn. But to me that just added to the thrill.
YoshiCraft2011
GhostRider. It was dark, and my sister and I wanted to ride the coaster again. I'm not sure if it was because it was night or if I was just sitting in the wrong seat, but it was rough! This is when I started to realize why people hate this coaster. My body was shaking around, and thanks to the new dividers, my thighs were probably banging against that. Oh well. GhostRider is still awesome, but gee. MisterP
I felt unsafe on Diamondback. I tend to go hands-up on hypers, but that one made be second-think it...
BugEyed
The first time I rode Tomb Raider (now Time Warp) at CW. It was doing what I now know to be it's standard "beat the living daylights out of you" thing when a large nut (the type that screws onto a bolt) appeared out of nowhere rattling around the cage. It cracked me in the head and blood was flying every which way. When I got off the ride I looked (and felt) like I had just been mauled by a tiger. Hardly a near death experience, but I did get 4 stitches in my forehead. I've ridden it once since then and even without the bludgeoning it was still a miserable experience. I always quicken my pace a little when walking past it.
Ridewatchers
On my favorite coaster, too: Giant Dipper. I was about 9 years old and sat in one of the back rows. I flew up about 2 feet just before the train plateaued to do the 180-degree section over the station. Almost came out of the train and fell backwards. WFChris
Last week on X2 the restraint loosened a little bit at 'that moment' at the very top of the hill. Just a little...I guess I didn't realize that those restraints have 'clicks.' A little freaky but I knew I would be fine lol.
GwaziBSRider1
Every time I ride a Boomerang or SLC.
yay101
This is meant to be a serious post, but during The Dragon at Adventureland the entire train was shaking and vibrating and it felt like the entire ride would fall apart. Plus I got a bad headache in the middle of the ride and it was extremely painful.
screaminkid2005
The first time I rode Sky Rush at Hershey park, I thought I was going to be ejected out on the first drop! I wasn't expecting that much airtime!
canadianparkfan
When I was 12 i rode the American Eagle with my Uncle. I have ridden the ride many times before and I knew that it was safe. Well while going up the lift hill the car made a loud noise and it lifted off the track and droped back down (2 or 3 inches). Then on the mid-brake run it did it again the rest of the ride I thought it was going to die. Another time but not coaster related, i was on a topscan sitting on the very edge. During the middle of the ride i almost passed out and I though i was going to die. Then when the ride was over I could see again and i was fine. Im a pretty skinny guy, and was on a Topscan (end seat) this past summer. Durring the ride, my restraint felt slightly loose, and as fate would have it, I got one of the most intense cycles I've experienced on a flat (and not in a good way). Felt like I'd fly out the whole ride. Ended up with blisters on my hands from death gripping the handles on the OTSRS.
