Brandy524 Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 First a huge thank you to Robb and Elissa and the folks at Six Flags for making this event possible! It really was an amazing day! I was so happy to finally meet everyone in person. Hopefully I'll get to see you all again! My girls were beyond excited to meet Kristen. They're still talking about everything we did on Saturday. Other than ERT, I really didn't ride much during the day, except a few rides with the kids. Mainly because Danny and I had to take turns riding and standing with the kids and that just took too long. But that's okay, I was mainly there for the people and the atmosphere and to make sure my kids had a great time (and they did). There will be lots of kid photos in this report. We spent most of our free time in Bugs Bunny Land. Anyway, on to the photos. Enjoy! View from our hotel room! Danny told the girls that the last few times we had been here Acrophobia was broken down. So then every time they saw it they called it "that tower that broke." Ally relaxing before dinner Friday night. Cammy not relaxing! Kristen showing the girls how to play a game while waiting for our table at Carrabbas. Good morning Goliath! An early, and chilly morning, but we were so excited! TPR members lining up bright and early! Freezing but still smiling! Smiling through his chattering teeth! Line to check in gets longer and longer... Such the gentleman, Big Mike let us borrow his jacket to warm up! Pointing to things through the gate! So ready to go in! Raptor Robb? Big Mike and Megan! Empty park is nice! Dare Devil Dive ERT. I was amazed at how quiet the ride is! Stage area beside DDD. I have no idea what I was saying. About to head straight up! Here we go... Post DDD smile! It was an awesome ride! Danny's turn! He looks very nervous before the lift! There they go! He loved it! Mine train. Waiting for Danny to ride Mind Bender.
Brandy524 Posted September 19, 2011 Author Posted September 19, 2011 More pictures... We met up with the Alveys after ERT for the kids to get some rides. Kristen rode this over and over to try to convince my girls it wasn't scary. Ally never did get on it! Cammy waving in a blur. Cammy and Kristen on the fiesta wheel. Frog hopper and Kristen is the only one with her hands up. Cammy's getting braver... Cammy finally puts her arms up as Kristen stretches like she's bored. Park President speaking to us at lunch. Behind the scenes tour! Lots of GASM pictures. We had a nice long walk around GASM. Nerds all stopping for... a train photo op! Train going up. Southern Star Amphitheater. More GASM. Trailers by Southern Star. Other side of Superman! Some kind of scenery. Stuff across the employee parking lot. Superman lift through the trees! There's a train through there! Green houses? I'm not really sure. Employee parking sign. Heading into the employee section. Signs in the employee area. More signs. Security booth? Oh no, there's a train heading right for us! At this point we dropped off the back stage tour and went to the hotel for a nap. The kids were so tired of walking they were almost in tears. See? As soon as they hit the bed they were out cold. More pictures to come...
Brandy524 Posted September 19, 2011 Author Posted September 19, 2011 And more... The pictures taken with my phone are bigger than the rest. Sorry! After a much needed nap we headed back to the park for the add-on dinner. Nice view of Ninja walking to the pavilion. Playing games again at dinner. Brad (Six Flags guru; I really don't know his official title) answering our questions. Robb getting everything ready for TPR Quest. We didn't stay for TPR Quest because the girls wanted to ride a few more things before the park closed. They loved the bumper cars! I guess the girl behind us thought I was taking her picture so she smiled for me, but actually if you look reeeeallly close you can see Danny waving in the very back. We made to the carousel in time for the last ride of the night! The girls didn't want a horse. They opted for a carriage instead. "You have to hold the phone still..." Three times he tried to take my picture and end up with this. Canyon Blaster ERT for the kids? Then over to Superman for ERT. Ally was even scared to climb into the test seat out front. We finally convinced her that it wasn't a ride and wasn't going to do anything. You can barely see Cammy in there! Heading out of the park. It's so weird being here when it's empty. Panorama of the empty entrance promenade. The girls and the Tweety window. The front gate security guard offered to take a family picture. Thanks again for an incredible day!
ernierocker Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 My beer gut ALMOST got hit by that train! So, scary! Glad you guys were able to have a good time. We will be in the same boat with our two little ones, so this is pretty much a preview of park days for Candace and I.
SharkTums Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 So glad you guys came out for the event. It's awesome having other kids at the events so KT and I aren't alone in the kiddie areas. Make sure you plan to make it to some more of our events, KT wants more girls and cake!
Brandy524 Posted September 19, 2011 Author Posted September 19, 2011 FUN!!! Wish we could have been there. Wish you could have too! Hopefully we'll get to meet at an event one day! My beer gut ALMOST got hit by that train! So, scary! Glad you guys were able to have a good time. Hopefully when your little ones are a little older we'll be able to get all the kids together at a park! So glad you guys came out for the event. It's awesome having other kids at the events so KT and I aren't alone in the kiddie areas. Make sure you plan to make it to some more of our events, KT wants more girls and cake! The girls have talked about NOTHING else but the fun they had this weekend! They loved KT and can't wait to see her again! They asked me yesterday if she could come to our house to play. They can't quite grasp how far away she lives. Hopefully we'll get to meet up with you guys again soon!
gisco Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Nice report! What a Pro and a Pro in the making!
TheSchwitek Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Raptor Robb? This comment definitely made me laugh. Seriously though, great pictures. The bash was a blast! Clever Guy. Clever Girl.
Sir Clinksalot Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 It was awesome meeting you and your awesome family this weekend ... and of course, the awesome cake!!! (did I say awesome enough?)
chadster Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 The cake was awesome Brandy! I'm kinda with you on riding during the day, I go to these events to hang out with friends, the backstage tours, the crazy games, and of course ERT! At this bash event I rode a lot more than any other event to date, sure I had plans to go to the hotel and/or Dixieland (did that on Sunday) but I opted to hang with a few TPR peeps and enjoy the park. Hope to run into you guys at a future event!
Chroniq Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Raptor Robb? This comment definitely made me laugh. Seriously though, great pictures. The bash was a blast! Great trip report Brandy! This makes Kristin and I want to get little Bean on a trip as soon as he can crawl...
moinab Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Yay! The more TPR families, the better! Todd and I got to ride on a coaster together for the first time, last year at Dollywood, because we had TPR peeps to watch the kids while we rode!

Todd and I got to ride on a coaster together for the first time, last year at Dollywood, because we had TPR peeps to watch the kids while we rode! Maureen--- Absolutely, another "unspoken" perk of TPR trips.. You've got good friends that are happy to watch the little ones while you ride a coaster together (I see you everyone that has so graciously offered and knows that we will totally take them up on that offer ) ...Not to get all sentimental, but this is the kind of stuff that makes TPR different and better than many of those other groups.
SharkTums Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 ^Just ask the Riley's about riding stuff on the Japan Trip! Just another one of those TPR Trip Concierge services...give Elissa your baby!!!! Hey Chris...I have most of the credits already in Dubai...just saying...
crazydaveh Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Now that there are families going on trips, I can start going! My almost three year old loves the parks and gets mad when she's too short to ride a "big girl roller coaster!" Looks like everyone old and young had a blast! Can someone say LegoLand Florida Bash for families????? Great pics!
BeemerBoy Posted September 20, 2011 Posted September 20, 2011 Loved the report, Brandy, and I'm so glad you all had a great time there!

Looking forward to seeing you again sometime!
