Nrthwnd Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 A very trippy opening for a coaster, lol! All the artists (and artwork done!) there, the "Coca Cola Girls," the fireworks... So - how was the coaster itself?

So - how was the coaster itself? It is a verry good coaster. If you dit winjas fear in Phantasialand than this is a little bit the same.
Pirouettes907 Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 All this fanfare for a spinning coaster opening, I love it! Looks like they went all out with the fireworks and... ...what is that on the mid-course brake section? It looks like a fire effect, but it's awfully close to the car...or are those just really, really bright lights?!? Awesome pictures!
chadster Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Excellent report. Is it me, is the chain on the coaster a little off? It could just be the picture angle given what it is and all, that's probably the way it's made.

Groteslurf Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Great report and pictures. Too bad the only thing I read in the newspaper about this opening was that the fireworks caused a small forrest fire
Ryancrash Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Thanks for sharing the pics! I really enjoyed Bobbejaanland when we visited in 2008. I look forward to returning and riding DIZZ. The new coaster looks like it will be an excellent addition.
sfot11girl Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Great report and pictures.Too bad the only thing I read in the newspaper about this opening was that the fireworks caused a small forrest fire wow... fail. Looks like a sweet ride though!
fdelhomez Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I did enjoy your report and hope to see soon more pictures of Dizz in action! Thanks.
julioot Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Well the ride itself opened up weeks ago. toghether with the opening of the park First POVs are really dissapointing. I hope the ride runs better now....
zilliboy Posted May 11, 2011 Author Posted May 11, 2011 The first POV's are as you see not so good. The brakes are better now and the ride is very good now.
Legoguy1395 Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 In America this would have killed at least three people! -------------------------------------------- Looks like a really cool little coaster! I really nee to do a Europe trip some time, Heck I just want to go to a different park than carowinds.
Rob.Lloyd Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Excellent report. Is it me, is the chain on the coaster a little off? It could just be the picture angle given what it is and all, that's probably the way it's made. The chain on a maurer attraction is always a little bit of. Due to the car assembly the drive beam( the bit the friction/drive wheels touch eg as the car goes though the station)is in the middle of the chassis .The brake fin is on one side and the chain hook/anti roll back dog is mounted on the over side.
