mcjaco Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 BINGO! One of your pictures seems to crapped out, but the file now works!
robbalvey Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 Still curious as to why when he uploads it, it doesn't work. AJ, could you try to upload it again with no screenshots at all? Just to test.
AJClarke0912 Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Alright, will do tomorrow! Thanks guys.
robbalvey Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 The case sensitive login issue should be fixed now.
DATman Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 ^Worked great for me! I uploaded a couple files and everything was smooth, and then I downloaded a bunch of NL files and they all ran perfectly. So while the exchange itself is a little rough with navigation as far as things that have already been stated, I really enjoyed using it and think it is a fantastic addition to TPR. I'm going to explore some more tomorrow and see if I can find anything to help you guys iron it out. Great idea and I can't wait to see it when it's finished! This is exactly what the Games section of the forum needed.
robbalvey Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 ^ What were some of the navigation issues you were having? Even if it might have been said already, you might say something that we didn't pick up on before.
AJClarke0912 Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Okay, even with no screenshots, I get the same error when I download my own coaster. Something is just WRONG here...
robbalvey Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 Okay, even with no screenshots, I get the same error when I download my own coaster. Something is just WRONG here... Can you try uploading a different track or two?
DisWiz Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 The case sensitive login issue should be fixed now. Looks like it's now fixed for me Robb and I can edit both of my uploads now, thanks for fixing this.
robbalvey Posted December 14, 2010 Author Posted December 14, 2010 I was able to upload AJ's track with no problems: http://themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/track.php?id=654 AJ, can you try a different browser? Really want to figure out why this isn't working for you, because I can't narrow down any reason why it's not.
FeelTheFORCE Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Sorry it took so long to reply again, but I've been studying/taking finals as well. I can now edit with no problem...looks like fixing the case-sensitive thing did the trick.
A.J. Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Here are two banners. if you think these look good, I'll make three more that are similar (RCT2 8-bit style, because most of the other games' cars and such wouldn't fit in a 150x75) but different (different scenes, such as a winter scene for the holidays). The full 880x90 banner had to be linked to externally because it was too big for an attachment. I matched it lengthwise to the front page's links bar (forum, park index, etc) and height-wise from the top of that bar to the top of the screen. Hope you like. The 150x75 thumbnail. It doesn't have borders because the spots that the thumbnails are placed in on the front page are the borders.

A.J. Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Stop working on banners! But it's fun... Anyhoo, I was uploading a track, and I noticed the list of allowed file extensions. I haven't dug my disc out lately, but are you allowing .SV4 and .TD4 extensions? There are people out there that still play good ole RCTLL. EDIT: .SV7 too, for those playing RCT2 Modified.

I think Robb was talking about the other AJ!
mcjaco Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 I think Robb was talking about the other AJ! What are you even doing in here?
AJClarke0912 Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I'm sure some other people here have Firefox...so that mustn't be it. However, I'll try it again in Internet Explorer. EDIT: Yep, same error upon download/open. Something is REALLY screwed up here.
A.J. Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 If it's any consolation, I am able to download and open your file using IE8, as well as Safari. Have you tried right-click then "Save Target As..."? That usually works for me if I get a download error. Maybe that's an easier way to pinpoint the problem?
COASTER FREAK 11 Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I think Robb was talking about the other AJ! What are you even doing in here? I was thinking the same thing! Haha
robbalvey Posted December 15, 2010 Author Posted December 15, 2010 (edited) Can someone else please try to download this track, and then upload it again? http://themeparkreview.com/game_exchange/track.php?id=654 I really need to figure out if this is a problem with the exchange or a problem on AJ's end. Seriously guys, if you want TPR to have an exchange, we really need a lot of testing. If no one is willing to help us test, I'm just going to scrap the whole idea. The only reason we put this together is because you all said you wanted it. If you want it, we need you to help test it out. If you're not willing to test, then we'll forget about the idea all together. If you are serious about helping us test the exchange, please send a PM to both me and mcjaco and let us know if you're willing to help out. --Robb Edited December 15, 2010 by robbalvey
A.J. Posted December 15, 2010 Posted December 15, 2010 I downloaded it, opened it, rode it, uploaded it, downloaded the new one, and rode the new one. I'm not having any problems. Safari 5.0, Mac OS X 10.6.5.
