beatle11 Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 ^I'm inclined to agree with you after seeing that. Good to know.
Rydel Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 I've never been to MFI before, but this seems to make the park worth the 2½ hour drive. Now if only we could get more crazy European fair rides into the States.
Hurricane Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 The ride is a Technical Park Loop Fighter, and IMO the KMG Inversion looks to be a much nicer ride cosmetically than the Technical Park version. However the Technical Park ride has the extra capacity of 16 riders instead of 12. IMO if this rides anything like the Street Fighter it will be a great ride for a smaller park like Martins.
exmouse Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 ^ The Loop Fighter does look a bit more home made compared to the KMG Inversion. It could be because Loop Fighters have a more square and bulky construction compared to the Inversion. I personally prefer the ride experience of the Loop Fighter over the Inversion. Of the 2 Inversions I've ridden I've found them to be pretty dull and unexciting. I wouldn't bother paying out to ride another Inversion. However I did enjoy my one Loop Fighter experience and it pulled some decent g's. Â But I'd far rather have a decent German Breakdance or a Flying Circus any day.
Wood Dragon 1988 Posted January 25, 2011 Posted January 25, 2011 Hopefully Mind Warp will have a bit better program than their frisbee, which if I remember correctly didn't spin at all if! Â The other ride looks great too, I'm a big fan of those rides. Â I think MFI is a great small park, which just got better. Hopefully I'll make it back there sometime.

Hopefully I'll make it back there sometime.  In 2005, Nitro used to spin. However, at that time it also lifted one of the four concrete footers up and down with the swinging motion. I don't know if they changed the program because of the problematic footer, but I don't recall that footer popping out of the ground when I was at the park with the TPR Tour.
DarienLaker Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 Here's the 2011 Martin's Fantasy Island map as you can they've got rid of two rides Sizzler (where Mind Warp is) and Sea Ray (where Devil's Hole is) and I can see one error they've made on the map; they mistakenly called Raging Rapids "Surf Hill" Raging Rapids are "adult" water slides while Surf Hill is the kiddie slide
Geauga Dog Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 That error was pointed out to MFI when they first showed the map on their Facebook page. Not sure if they were able to fix it for their gate maps.
DarienLaker Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 Mind Warp reminds me of a looping version of Nitro, the "new" Devil's Hole is a Wisdom Gravitron, and also another returning ride to Fantasy Island is the "Blue Goose" wich is kiddie ride.
oriolat Posted May 11, 2011 Posted May 11, 2011 I tried that ride at the April's Fair in Barcelona and it was AMAZING. At the beginning it felt like a regular frisbee ride but when the ride op released the brakes from the gondolas, the feeling of being out-of-control was amazing. Very intense, even in a fairly tame mode. I am sure this will please thrill-seekers.
