Wes Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Well, Robb and Elissa, did you guys EVER miss out! I took Benzo's advice and booked a flight to the Wisconsin State Fair, and let me just say, it was the greatest experience on the face of the planet. 7 Credits? How about 700?! That's right, my coaster count has now eclipsed Robb...AT JUST ONE FAIR! And lest you think these were crappy credits, well, look at these photos I took. And yes, Chip N Dale were there, proclaiming their love for the cheese state. And hey, who's that riding the Expedition GeForce clone? Natalie Portman AND Huey Lewis?! Truly, this fair is something spectacular. Yeah, that's right. The Crystal Beach Cyclone!! Recently refurbed with classic style PTC trains. And hey, the old Bat coaster was there too. Except it had floorless inverted trains and it WAS REALLY GREAT!! The prototype Arrow Pipeline Coaster was there too! And it was glass smooth! But hey, what's this?!!! Steel Dragon 2000?!! RUNNING? Pig Races, everything seems to be normal here. Looks like a normal fair to me...
maliboomer Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Looks like you had a great time Wes... silly R&E for not going to the Wisconsin fair.
maliboomer Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 I dont get it... is this a joke... No way, Wes is deathly serious about it. I visited too and won a house made of cheese and lint.
Jew Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 We paid $24 for a pax looping coaster credit instead of going here? *sighs*
Meteornotes Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 ^I don't know, that Pax looping coaster was a big pile of awesomeness! And we got to walk past bumper cars playing "Mr. Roboto" which I don't recall Wes saying anything about at his silly fair, so take that, fairgoer! dt
Sir Clinksalot Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Wes', you always have been, and are continuing to be ... The Man!!!
benzo41190 Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 first off all you didnt go because none of that was from the fair duh! also even if you did go, you didnt walk around that much because there are kiddy coasters all around the expo center. With the coasters at the midway and the coasters at the expo center, there "are" 7!
Wes Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 (edited) first off all you didnt go because none of that was from the fair duh What are you talking about? It was all there! Did you see those pictures? How can you refute photographic evidence??? And Dave, they played Mr. Roboto 30 times in a row, with a laser show. Edited August 23, 2005 by Wes
Coasterlicious Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 I still dont get it..... how could those coasters be there...
Sir Clinksalot Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 ^ ... Oh ... My ... God ... This is continuing to be very interesting ...
robbalvey Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Crap, a laser show to Mr. Roboto? *sigh* Well, at least Olympia Looping wasn't there....or was it? --Robb
Wes Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 ^ Are you kidding? OF COURSE, it was there, except they added a gigantic robot of the dragon from Dragonheart (voiced by Sean Connery) that breathed fire at you when you went through the loops. YOU'RE THE MAN NOW DOG!
DerekRx Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 Crap, now I'm really mad at Robb. I have to go all the way to Germany next September to ride Olympia Looping and it doesn't even come with a fire breathing robot dragon. At least Orphan Rocker wasn't there, nor was Balder or any coaster themed to Michael Jackson. I think I'll definitely have to go to the Wisconsin State Fair next year, maybe for a whole week! SD2K is some kiddie coaster! All clear...Dispatch, enjoy your ride, Derek "Wes is Good!" Ruth
Wes Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 ^ That may be true, but the Wisconsin State Fair had Michael Jackson shaving orphans bald.
benzo41190 Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 you never answered the question......when did you go? Also, is everyone plotting agaist me or something because I am the only one who thinks fairs are cool?
Wes Posted August 23, 2005 Author Posted August 23, 2005 ^ The question you should be asking is not "When?", but "What?". What did I go? What? Your answer lies in the question.
Chrissie Posted August 23, 2005 Posted August 23, 2005 ^ That may be true, but the Wisconsin State Fair had Michael Jackson shaving orphans bald. LMAO!!!
