thrillrider
Ok.... Disneyworld is hands down my favorite theme park. Over the years, I have taken many trips and many pictures. I am going to share some of my favorite shots with you. The pictures are in no order, just the order they were in my computer. I hope you enjoy them. Pop centurey is our resort of choice at Disneyworld. I love the retro stuff they have on display in the lobby. Yea, I know....prices went up. Still worth every penny though. One of the best themed lines out there. Theming is just one of the reasons that make Disney so great. The best ride in the park IMO. The great movie ride. Indiana jones show. Things blow up. And things get real wet. Another tower shot. The beauty and the beast show is really good. The best place to eat at this park. The waiting room looks like my grandmas living room. Over at the magic kingdom, you may remember this. The speedway. My favorate ride. I like the version at Disneyland better though. Splash mountain. Random bird. Haunted mansion. The one attraction that I don't care for at Disney. It's a small world station. Big thunder mountain. I love this gag. Lots of twisted track. The ride also has some great theaming. Yea....we were there durring halloween. Great landscaping everywhere. I really like this show. Not sure why, but I do. Random picture of the show. Snow white ride. Even the little stand next to snow white is themed. Peter pan is a good ride, but has the longest line in the park. Scene from ride. Another shot of peter pan. Can you guess what one is goofy? It's starting to get dark. Artsy Pooh....the ride. The seat was all sticky. Bouncing with tigger. I love it!!! Yayyy...fireworks Animal kingdom...it's notazoo. I took a picture because it said picture spot. Ice cream anyone? I love this. Into the unknown we go Oh sh*$ Weeee Good ride. Tree of life. The safari ride has lots of animals. These guys look horny. The nemo show. Dinosoar Big dino head sticking out of the building. This is what awaits you in the lobby. Your time rover. This is the worst lookin area in all of Disneyworld. It looks like six flags came in and did this section. Everest from the other side of the lake. The tree of life has some amazing detail. Little bit of theming Not sure what kind of spider this was, but I did not get close enough to find out. The lion king show. My daughter loves this picture, so she made me add it. The pokerherheinis show. The show was canned a week after this visit. Yea...it was very hot out. So against better judgement, we did the rapids ride. Loading platform. Things were on fire, and you could even smell the smoke. This is where we got stuck on the ride for a half hour. Back in line for the yeti, the theming is great. Lift hill porn. Failed attempt to get a shot of the yeti. Ate dinner at tuscor house. I did not like like it because the food was all new to me. I really like this building. Part 2 comming up soon. gisco
Nice pictures. I wish I could visit the parks more often. Getting back to Orlando every couple of years is not enough.
thrillrider
Part 2.... This update is of the ert at the disney studios, and epcot center. Epcot is my favorite, so I took a lot of good shots there. The world showcase, and the rest of epcot will be in the next update.....enjoy. After animal kingdom, it's time for the extra magic hours at hollywood studios. Extra magic hours are usaly great because it's only for resort guests. But this time around, it was fairly buisy. Yep....my favorate. Rock n rollercoaster the marbel door always amazes me. Aerosmith pre show. Your limo awaits the launch. Tower of terror lobby. Elevator shaft. ERT on the great movie ride. The ceiling in the lobby. The horse from merry poppins(I think). The park is all lit up at night. With lots of neon. The parks icon all lit up. One last shot from Disney studios. Next up is my favorate park....epcot Per tradition, I always do spaceship earth first thing. Mural painted on building. They added the touch screens. I really do miss the fiber optic lighting at the end of the ride. A few scenes from the ride. One of the new scenes Another new scene. The courtyard pin store. The land pavilion. This is a great attraction. When at epcot, I always like to take a few whirls on this ride. Station and boat. Your boat goes thru a rain forest, desert, greenhouse, and fish area. Anybody know what a jackfruit is??? Entering the fish section. I bet you could make a lot of lemonaid with this lemon. Ever wonder how they make the mickey mouse pumpkins? Research area. I checked this show out for the first time. It was actualy kind of depressing. A near empty theater. Mission space Lots of space theaming for you to look at in line. Inside your space pod. Mission space geek shot. Sigh...... I still like universe of energy. I just wish they would get rid of ellen. I find her to be anoying. The pre show area. The ride vehicles are huge. Random ride photo. Maybe my favorate ride at epcot. The switchbacks have lots of car testing things to look at. This is what the cars look like. A few shots from inside the ride. At the exit of the ride, they have a few concept cars. And of course there is a gift shop as well. Random shot Next up was journey into imagination. Cool looking building Yep...there is a ride in there. A few scenes. I see figment. The upside down section. You can go in here for a cool fresh beverly. They also have several other flavors. In the next update, we will have the world showcase and the rest of epcot.
thrillrider
Nice pictures. I wish I could visit the parks more often. Getting back to Orlando every couple of years is not enough. We try to go every year. It's probaly the only theme park(s), where we never get sick of visiting.
thrillrider
Onto the world showcase. The walk around the world begins with mexico. The mexico pavilion. Welcome to mexico The boat ride. The boat ride passes right by the mexican restaurant. A few scenes from the ride. We took the tunnel. They also had lots for sale as well. The next country was norway. They had a musium at the entrance of the pavilion. The main attraction in noway, is the boat ride. The boat peaks outside before it goes down the hill. The station has a beautiful mural. You get to ride in a viking boat. The unload platform, was in a norwiegen fishing village. There is also a show. next up is china. China is a beautiful pavilion. There is no ride in china, but they have a show. They have a marsh area in the middle, with a reflecting pond. Just after I took this shot, the bird swallowed the frog in one gulp. They have a counter service food stand, and a sit down restaurant. They had this display when we were there. It was very interesting. Decided to check out the china show next. Even the lobby for the show is awsome. Looking up at the ceiling. Pre show area. The show has multiple screens all around you. The only complaint I have, is that you have to stand durring the show. There are also plenty of shops to paruse. That's it for china. In the next report, I will have more of the world showcase.

testtrack321
Did you use flash on those dark rides?
thrillrider
No. None were taken with a flash, however, there was some guy behind us on peter pan with a camcorder light on. That allowed me to get the one shot of peter pan on the boat.
samisthabomb
I haven't been to WDW for 7 or 8 years! I was unaware of all of those rides and shows in the World Showcase. Looks like I need to make a trip back over there sometime soon! Oh, and I agree, Ellen does get annoying on that ride! Great TR!

thrillrider
Onto a few more countries at epcot. Germany Italy America Next country....Germany There is a lot to do in germany. They have a lot of shops, a german restaurant with a show, and BEER!! Random shops. They have a minature train set. The restaurant in germany is very well themed. If there is beer, I am there. They also have a live show while you eat. The ricola guy plays in the band. Behind this wall, there was supposed to be a boat ride down the rhine river. It was axed at the last min due to funding. The building that was supposed to house the ride, is now used as a warehouse. Italy is next to germany. This is a replica of something in Italy. Me and the statue They have roving actors. I wanted to sail one of these to the other side of the lake, but they would not let me. Next up is the worst country at epcot. You would think that America would be one of the better displays...but it's not. Exciting...huh? This is the main show building. One of the entertainment offerings I do have to say that the show building is beautiful. The main attraction in america, is the american adventure. Info on the show. They have a small musium as well. The stairs up to the show. It was a slow day, but I have been there when this hall into the show was shoulder to shoulder. Cool looking statues in the show room. You could not use a flash inside, so the pictures were a little blurry. It really is a good show, I just wish that the show was about more than politics. The mass exodus. thrillrider
Some more of the world showcase. Next up was Japan. Japan is a large pavilion. There is a koi pond as well. There is also some outdoor entertainment. Random theaming. In japan, they have a large shop with all kinds of...ummm...interesting things. The whole area is nice. This is where we ate dinner. I would recomend this restaurant to everyone. Can't wait to eat here again. Very good food. There are 2 differant restaurants in here. This is the smaller one. They had our table ready. They cook your dinner right at your table. Our chef was really funny. In the next update....morocco

Sidra
Yeah, you're making me try and do the math on a minimum 10 day vacation. I've only been to WDW once, I was in the military stationed in GA and we went down for a weekend trip and only ended up at Magic Kingdom. There just wasn't time to do more. Now I got an 8 year old and I'm sure we'd have a blast on vacation there. Living in SoCal I'm spoiled on Disneyland Resort, and I've been to Disneyland Paris but I would love to head to Florida and check out their parks. Your pictures are just making me more thirsty. thrillrider
I would recommend that if you do 10 days, that you take a break or do a water park somewhere in the middle of your trip. It's a lot of walking and sunshine. More pictures comming tomorrow.
the ghost
I feel kind of stupid for asking this, but do mitsukoshi and Tapan Edo have the same menu? We went to Tapan Edo, which is, I believe, the larger of the two. The food looks very similar and it seems to be prepared in the exact same way. That resturant is absolutely delicious, although I felt kind of dumb since I hate using chop sticks and got the lady to make me the special "easy" chopsticks. That is IMO the second best resturant in orlando after Ohana. Anyway, I really like the pictures, they show off a lot of the awesomeness of Disney! Keep it up! thrillrider
I believe it is differant. You can look at every menu with prices at Disneyworld here... http://allears.net/menu/menus.htm I use this site a lot when planning a Disney trip. Lot's of info. thrillrider
On to the next country..... Morrocco. Morocco has a restaurant. It's good, but I suggest you look at the menu before making reservations. Inside the restaurant. There are lots of hidden stores in the winding paths. There are lots of things to buy. Aladdin makes an apearance. He wanted to race amy up a tree. Part of the market. In the next report, we will have france.

I was just reminded that you don't have to use chopsticks, and there ARE 2 different restaurants. The smaller restaurant is a regular table service type place with a limited menu. The place that we ate(look at the pictures) had the grill right at your table. There is also another food stand outside of the restaurant as well. I think they sell mostly sushi.
