Homer Posted February 20, 2005 Posted February 20, 2005 http://www.parkfeedback.com/PKDRIDES05 Paramounts Kings Dominion had put up a ride survey for future ride concepts, one of them include something that sounds like a Vekoma Thrill Lift. But, if you want to take the survey, there are other concepts to boot for PKD; -Clone of Italian Job: Stunt Track (Premier Launched) -Boomerang Bay Water park upgrade -Nick Central expansion with Rugrats Runaway Reptar clone (Vekoma Family Suspended) -Top Gun: The Jet Coaster (B&M Inverted) -Two Tomb Raider rides -Mission Impossible Stunt Show -Spongebob Squarepants (enclosed family coaster) -SoundWave (retheme of Flight of Fear) -Delirium clone (HUSS Giant Frisbee) Take it today, and try going for the Vekoma Thrill Lift.
SharkTums Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Yay for waterpark expansion!!! Elissa "some of their slides are REALLY old!" Alvey
Guest Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Some of their slides are extremely old. I think they could def use some new slides. That Vekoma Thrill Lift thing looks interesting...but Vekoma...enough said there.
disneygurlz2s Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yay for waterpark expansion!!! They did the waterpark expansion here last year, and it was such a huge improvement. Shari
bgwfreak Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 I've taken the survey as well. The thrill lift looked like it would be a Vekoma flyer with a Thrill Lift, or vertical lift. That would be a wicked combination I'd love to ride! Can you imagine being on the front row as you get held there until it tilts over. Scary. lol
Canobie Fan Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 as i said in the SAME topic on TN.... It sounds more like a TILT-Coaster then a thrilllist.. as the tilt would be more a a "sea-saw".........
Real Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Some of their slides are extremely old. I think they could def use some new slides. That Vekoma Thrill Lift thing looks interesting...but Vekoma...enough said there. Obviously you havent seen their latest rides, VERY smooth.
bleedsnomore134 Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 that would be an awsome ride. I wonder if it would jerk since its a vekoma
TheGreatOne Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 Seeing as Cedar Fair now owns the park and will start their own plans, this may be the most pointless thread resurrection ever.
Reon Posted August 4, 2006 Posted August 4, 2006 I could more see that thrill lift in KI. We have yet to get a BM or Intamin, and half of our steels are Vekoma or Arrow.
TheKlockster Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 I don't know I heard a couple inside rumors about them possibly getting a thrill lift coaster back in 2005. But yeah I think the new management might not do that. Keep in mind both Flight of Fears and PKIs Tomb Raider were going to get rotated to different parks for 2007 - and I believe that Cedar Fair officially nixed that.

The ride survey was for all of the Paramount Parks.
