YoshiFan Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 August 29th, I'm not looking forward to it because usually there is always next summer to look forward to but this is my last year of school.
Space Freak Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 Sweet, where are you going to school? What are you going to study? My college starts on the 25th, But i am studying abroad until October. So I wont see my friends until then... So i'll be in Cleveland from August 16th through October 14th. Going to have to hit up Cedar Point... Hopefully Cleveland is better than Everett... But i doubt it..
Space Freak Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 I went to a community college for a year, and then a state school for a year, then transfered to the school I am at now (really bad grades in High School). Its actually a better way to go financially. Community colleges are dirt cheap and most of the credits transfer just fine. Good luck to you. Rob
coasterdude5 Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 Started today at High School, Freshman. It actually wasn't as bad as everybody said it would be.
Sir Clinksalot Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 Never ... although I do have a class this weekend to get be a "Certified Technical Trainer". I will now be "Gregg Condon CTT+" ... sounds cool!!! The kids go back to school on 8/31
SharkTums Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 My brother went for his first day as a High School Senior Today!!! I would guess that I'll be back in school to do some kind of graduate work by 35...although I am enjoying this whole no school thing quite a bit!
SLUSHIE Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 IDK when it starts. I think it starts in about 2 weeks. I'm actualy taking classes right now tho, they end this thursday.
disneygurlz2s Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 Our school district starts August 23rd, which means the traffic will get thicker, my daughter will be more tired, and I am going to have to start helping with homework. Yikes!!! Shari
Angry_Gumball Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 Let's see...when do I start school??? The question is (For me anyway) When do you get out of school, and then start school? This is my last week of summer coasses (Insert cheering sounds here) then I have a 1 week breather (Dont know how much of a breather it would be as you wait for grades to be posted) and then fall semester starts up again.
Homer Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 Started today, I would have done a photo TR if our Hall Monitors werent the Nazi's they are. If they see one camera, they are like "OMFG! HEAD FOR THE HILLS, THAT GUY HAS A CAMERA!" Then again, I would like to kick Stu in the nuts for busting out his camera to videotape a catfight last year...
BiCoastal Kid Posted August 8, 2005 Posted August 8, 2005 ^Our school is totally anal about cameras and electronics too. Even during lunch. "PMG, cameras are distracting them from eating their fewd! BAN THEM!!! dardardar"
Kroger8 Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 We started last Thursday. Our school is anal on the dress code, we made The New York Times, or some National Newspaper for being so strict on it. http://www.nyedjobs.org/news/index.cfm?step=show_detail&NewsID=1910 Our school focuses on stupid little things rather than education. Daniel "I'd rather us have uniforms." Gravely
QuakerOaties Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 ^ At least if you go to Bob Jones University you'll already be used to a strict dress code! Mark "I start my first day as a high school senior on September 7th" Luskus
Kroger8 Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 ^Yea thats where my Bro-in-law went for Elementary school, and now he is a redneck, go figure. I really want to live somewhere outside of SC, WSU is in my favorite state so maybe there.
YoshiFan Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 My school was also strict about everything. One time I was playing cards with someone else (no gambling involved just for fun) when we had free time and a teacher walked by and told us we'd get detention if we didn't put them away. The worse was the computer rules. No message boards, no e-mail, no games, they blocked every site if it was remotely "fun" (video game message boards for example). They also had a crazy dress code but I don't think they enforced it too well.
QuakerOaties Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 ^thats the way my school is. You can't play cards because it promotes gambling (even though practically no one gambles), no message boards or email can be visited on the computers, and there is a striclty enforced dress code. Mark "College, please get here now" Luskus
Sir Clinksalot Posted August 9, 2005 Posted August 9, 2005 ^ and ^^ ... I have the same rules in my classes too. Unfortunately the adults in my class (who are getting paid I might add) don't know how to listen well. But then again, the instructor is online ... Gregg "The king of Double Standards" C.
