Crazy_Behemoth_Lady_Jess
There was a thread about the Sky Roller (Gotterflug) awhile ago. It's not that dangerous, it's a proper amusement ride. And it's made by Gerstlauer too.
Mechanic
I realize these are meant to be amusing, but please don't try spinning a merry-go-round excessivley fast as shown in a couple of examples in this thread. Some of you may remember the incident where a teenage girl was killed in Northern California a few years ago in just such a stunt gone wrong. The girl that was killed was the daughter of a good friend of mine. The family is still devastated. I don't mean to be a buzzkill, and I'm sure most people would never try some of these sillly stunts, but it's worth bearing in mind that what may seem like fun could in fact be quite deadly. Many people, and young people in particular, often don't have a firm enough grasp of the laws of physics to realize what could happen to them. Skycoastin Steve
^Well said. My favorite phrase to introduce to new employees at the parks I've worked at is "physics always wins." Physics is undoubtedly the undefeated, untied champion. Don't wanna mess with it.
phazan
All of these videos are so awesome. I wanna try some of this stuff haha. Who here would try that slingshot thing?? That looks fun..but really painfull at the same time. Here is a really cool slide that someone made. Most people would party while their parents are out of town...These guys make an awesome slide haha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uvN0PAdnwQU
larrygator
Most of the people seen in these videos are probably already brain damaged. Just not sure if it happened before or after their creations were ridden.

Here's another pretty cool video I found though, hope nobody has seen this one yet.
andre8
Have you guys heard of KA in MGM Grand in Vegas? They have this act which includes a ferris wheel thing of death. I couldn't find a video though.
lissa1986
I remember those things. I had one at my church camp one year and they called it the blob it is really fun to do.
frozenflames
^^ Those "wheels of death" are actually pretty common circus apparatuses. They're meant for professional use, not the homemade things in this thread. Granted, they look scary as hell, as there is no way anyone would ever get me on on of those. djrappa
Ka has the added fun of being a kind of giant one with a nice 60 foot drop below it... The brothers are definitely the most amazing 'artists' of this act I've ever seen. But screw 250million dollar casino shows, give me a jet powered merry go round! Did they start that thing with a leaf blower??
Pufferfish
When it comes to backyard rides, you can't forget this beauty.

exmouse
The new water launcher from Weigand, the guys who make Alpine coasters. Think the first one has gone to a park in Czechoslovakia
frozenflames
^ That reminds me on an aqueous version of the Catapult/ Kid-A-Pult from the movie Richie Rich. But it's not really something I would want to try, because the landing looks like it could potentially be very painful.
coasterkid495
I forget the real name of it, but I saw it on tv it was called like the volcano. It is basily one of those things where it flings you in the air. And it looked really cool.
DiSab
Similar to the other one posted earlier, but this one looks a little sturdier. Still pretty sweet.
