STR8FXXXINEDGE Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 I've encountered a couple pages where the pictures are not loading for whatever reason. In the attached picture, that is the screen I see. Based on the comments, it looks as if other people can see the pictures but for some reason I cannot. Just thought I would point it out. I've been having this same problem quite a bit when loading TR's, but sometimes it loads a solid black square instead of leaving a blank space. I've never had this problem before the upgrade. Here's what I'm using... Browser: Mozilla Firefox Version: 3.5 OS: Windows Vista Home Premium Screen resolution: 1280x800
robbalvey Posted February 28, 2010 Posted February 28, 2010 ^ Next time it does it, take a screen shot so we can check it out.
themeparkologist Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 ^^Maybe try 3.6. Youtube gave me a pop up every 5 minutes saying 3.5 was outdated...I just got 3.6 today and it works fine.
thrillgeek Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 It's not a big deal but I just notice all the facebook and twitter icons are now gone from the profiles.
Hhappy Posted March 8, 2010 Author Posted March 8, 2010 I see what you're referring to. I'll have a closer look at this later today.
Hhappy Posted March 8, 2010 Author Posted March 8, 2010 It's not a big deal but I just notice all the facebook and twitter icons are now gone from the profiles. Thanks for mentioning. Looks like i managed to fix it.
themeparkman25 Posted March 19, 2010 Posted March 19, 2010 (edited) Things look great 'round these parts, thanks for all your hard work! I just was browsing the games forum and encountered something rather strange. This was my first time seeing it, so it isn't something to fret about, just thought I would point it out to you! Again, it could be Google Chrome. Edit: Since it is kind of hard to see, I thought I would inform you of the problem. Instead of having the title of one of the stickies, it was just a bunch of weird symbols and shapes. Edited March 19, 2010 by themeparkman25
Hhappy Posted March 19, 2010 Author Posted March 19, 2010 (edited) ^Chrome bug? Can't reproduce that with IE and/or Firefox.. Edited March 19, 2010 by Hhappy
Homeboy23 Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 I just posted a new thread for my trip reports and after I hit submit the title of the thread came out with Re: in the front. Is there anyway to take that out?
Hhappy Posted March 21, 2010 Author Posted March 21, 2010 Could you try again by creating a new topic? if that works i'll remove the first one.. (otherwise i'll rmeove the second one) make sure to use the new topic button.. (just in case)
Homeboy23 Posted March 21, 2010 Posted March 21, 2010 Thanks! I don't know why I didn't think of doing that. It was just posted with no replies so I just deleted it myself and reposted it. I had hit new topic on the previous one as well as this one.
Hhappy Posted March 21, 2010 Author Posted March 21, 2010 No worries, most important thing is that it's working for you at the moment.
AJClarke0912 Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Chat's been getting weird stuff (besides me spazzing) such as these errors that come in randomly and wipe the room, along with viewing impairments. Is this something of major concern?
Hhappy Posted April 13, 2010 Author Posted April 13, 2010 (edited) i've never seen this error happen (just yet) does this happen only in Firefox or also in IE? Does this happen at a specific time or after being logged on for a long time or?? any extra info would help (which timezone are you in? ) and what are you referring to with "viewing impairments"?? Thanks for the extra info. Edited April 13, 2010 by Hhappy
AJClarke0912 Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Well, it might be the browser but I've long used it and never had problems. The error seems to happen to most people but I remember that one person didn't get it. Also, there are more people in the chatroom than the three pictured above. After the error, people go temporarily missing and return later, because after a couple minutes the other names showed up (there were 8 people there at the time). It might be something temporary. If more problems occur then I'll inform you, but it seems to be working fine as of right now...
robbalvey Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 This is very strange. We must have had 40-45 people consitently in the chat room for the chat this weekend for about 3 hours and no one reported a single problem. I'm going to have to assume this issue is somehow on your end and not TPR's end. --Robb
AJClarke0912 Posted April 14, 2010 Posted April 14, 2010 Yeah, might be something screwy with my Internet. Anyway, thanks for listening. I didn't think it was a big problem anyway but I thought I'd post it.
austinlee Posted May 2, 2010 Posted May 2, 2010 Sometimes when I click on the "first unread post" button it skips over some of my unread posts, sometimes entire pages, and starts me off later in the thread. I also had this problem near the time the upgrade was made. It stopped happening for a while and started again in the last couple weeks.
Hhappy Posted May 2, 2010 Author Posted May 2, 2010 might be cookie/cache related on your end. Please make sure to clear your historie/cache/cookies and let me know if that helps.. thanks
austinlee Posted May 3, 2010 Posted May 3, 2010 ^ Thanks for the reply. I have tried that and it still happens every so often. It seems almost random. The problem has started and stopped on about 4-5 occasions since the upgrade whether the history/cache/cookies have been cleared or not.
