Anyone notice the Touhou arranges for the videos? No?

Anyway, the ride looks incredibly painful, but what can you expect from China, as mentioned earlier. Just be happy it's not a Togo Death Machine Stand-Up 4D. But yeah, not happy with the the final result. Just another reason to keep me out of China.

Oh man, I hadn't actually watched the video till now. Seeing those dummies shake themselves looser and looser through the course of the ride even tied and duct taped down is terrifying!

Wait, this is actually an S&S designed ride? I figured it was some cheap knock off by how badly the rotations were. Wow.

I've never ridden a 4D coaster, but is this what people mean when they say X2 is rough as well? I never thought it would have related to the choppy, rotational movements of the seats, and always thought it was more of a rattling like on a woodie or Arrow looper. I figured the choppy rotation would be somewhat expected with how rotation of the seats is on a track with X2, but this Dinoconda looks insanely choppy. The first half loop with the full flip is such a sweeeet looking element, but in the video it's funny that once the seats are upside down they are almost struggling to flip back upright!

Another thing I would love to see on 4D coasters even more is the standing/sitting sensation when going down a half-loop. With this type of controlled rotation, you could basically give the same sensation as a freefall drop ride on a coaster that is both long and intense...but I guess they need to nail down creating a smoother ride.

I think part of the roughness is the bouncing up and down you see. To be honest, X2 looks insanely smooth compared to this.

It makes me think of that press release S&S felt compelled to put out earlier and how maybe they'd like a mulligan.

S&S Worldwide has sent us this press release in light of a piece of wrong information recently published in the Chinese press.

S&S Worldwide, Inc. repudiates today’s news report out of Dongguan, China, regarding the 4th Dimension roller coaster to be installed in Changzhou, China, this year. It was erroneously reported in the Dongguan Today news that a local company in Dongguan is “making” the first 4th Dimension coaster in China.

S&S Worldwide, Inc. is the sole owner of the 4th Dimension Coaster technology (through the company’s 2002 acquisition of Arrow Dynamics). Under a contract with Dinosaur Park in Changzhou, China, S&S Worldwide is currently building a 4th Dimension coaster, arguably the most technologically advanced coaster on the planet. As is typical with coaster and amusement ride projects, S&S is contractually responsible for all aspects of the 4th Dimension coaster, including design, engineering, fabrication, and installation oversight and supervision. It was falsely reported that the coaster is being built by Guangdong Qiguang Group Co., Ltd. ..."
