Y2J2003Y2J
On Sunday November 1st, 2009 my friend Katie and I headed up for a day at the Point. We decided to take them up on the $15 Bring a Friend deal which also included early entry. We arrived at the park just about 10 am. We got a walk on ride of Maverick before we started to head up to the front of the park to find golden tickets which we found none throughout the whole day. Pretty decent day to go to the Point. Light crowds and not more than 15 minutes on most rides all day. Maverick got a 35 minute wait later in the evening as the Fright Zones came to life. Since it was 40 degrees and no wind, the fog settled in to make a very eerie Halloweekends setting and made for one of my best Maverick rides ever. We also got to see the Chris Linn Magicomedy show at the newly renamed Jack Aldrich theater. We ended the day by getting the last train of the season on Magnum XL 200. There is just something about going and riding coasters in the brisk cold fall that makes them that much better. It was a great way to end a already great season and I wish I could go back and do it again. My Best friend and I before our last ride on Demon Drop The ending blows ur mind This was one of the creepiest haunted houses I have ever been through, but it was excellent Greeter at the Boeckling Estate The Boeckling house was great. I really like what they can do with a permanent house.
Pirouettes907
Awesome pictures! The lighting is really cool in so many of them and I especially like the one of the Waveswinger (or whatever CP calls it) with all the fog. Thanks for sharing! ~Megan
dammie16@vt.edu
The one of Demon Drop and the Seagull is easily the best photo in there. Good TR. Hope you enjoyed the last night of Scares!
jjune4991
AWESOME pictures! I really like the second one. and the pic of demon drop with the seagull. Got lucky there huh? great job with this!
Reon
How was Happy Jack's? It was the only house I didn't have time for when I went up on Halloween. Anyways, I can't agree with you more (except that I didn't like Estate. Club Blood was probabbly the best house and the Pirate walk through was the best haunt overall) Demon Drop will be missed
Tbcoasterfan
Great pictures! I was there for closing day as well and got 2 final rides on Demon Drop. I had to laugh at the Berryhill grave stone as that's for Ken Berryhill and I know him.
Y2J2003Y2J
Happy Jacks is one of the best haunted attractions I have ever been through. Its really creepy and well done. The fact that it is a permanent installment helps it out a lot. It will hit a cord with anyone that had fears of clowns or creepy looking dolls. The end is really creepy and makes you think what CP was thinking when they designed it. A disappointment though was they took out vortex tunnels now. I loved walking though those and feeling disoriented. As for the photos, some are edited on a PC running Windows 7 and others using iPhoto on a MAC. wlmoorer
Really enjoyed the pics...i made my first pilgrimage to CP this summer...spend a couple of days there and I had a blast! Those pics of the park in the fall really show how different the park looks between the summer and late fall! Again, great pics

Reon
There was still a vortex tunnel in the schoolhouse in Frontiertown on Saturday. Did they take it out on Sunday, or were you talking about a different location?
Jumboshrmp
Great pictures! I loved the first one, I wish that we had pretty trees in Florida! I stared at this picture for about 5 minutes: I had no idea that Wicked Twister was that tall! Wow!
MrX8991
I had no idea that Wicked Twister was that tall! Wow! It's technically the 3rd tallest coaster in the park at 215 feet, which unless I'm mistaken, means it's the only hyper inverted coaster in the world. cedarpointfangirl
Awesome pics. The wave swinger one was great..so eerie. I really, really like the one of Disaster Transport with the shadow of MaxAir.
Jumboshrmp
I looked at the chairs arranged in a huge circle in this picture, and all I could think of was "this must be the non-moving version of MaXair"
Philrad71
Great job on the pictures...very original! I could tell you waited for a lot of trains to get the best possible coaster shots - well done! It will be strange to not see Demon Drop at the front of the park now. Glad that I was able to get one final ride on it this past September.
ohiocoasters
Great Picture! Ive been trying to get a shot like this for a while now. Did you take it on Sky Ride or something else?
Y2J2003Y2J
^That shot was from the Sky Ride in the evening just before sundown. I got a lot of great pics at sunset. I used a Canon Point and Shoot 7.1 Mega Pixel camera. My friend has a 10 Mega Pixel Rebel but we didn't want to carry that around all day. I love how all my pictures turned out after editing them. This is done with basic software that comes on the computer.
ohiocoasters
^If only my SLR could take pictures like that. But thats not the cameras fault. It's mine. Great Pictures!
