ratdogg68
Maybe they just recently sold them and they've put them there for easier access? I don't think we'll see a return of TTD, or any use for the GL trains, so why keep them. Does make you think though,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Another note though, I received my 2015 Season Pass, to the Kingdom, in the mail today. Now I have a Kentucky Kingdom, Holiday World and Louisville Zoo Pass, going to be a busy summer.
aaron88stang
I pointed out on Screamscape's Facebook post that both were still there recently. I bet they are sitting out there because they have been sold and are awaiting pickup.

Nope that's incorrect this was posted today by ScreamScape Park News - (3/11/15) According to Kentucky Kingdom, the old Dragster cars once at the park were sold off to another park, and the Greezed Lightning trains are no longer on site either, so it seems the photo sent in was a bit old. Shame... Clearly still on site!!!

Shame... Clearly still on site!!! When someone asked about the trains, KKs exact facebook response was: "We do not have the trains for Greezed Lightning. The dragsters in the picture on screamscape were sold to another park." You can see the post on KKs facebook. Idk why they would lie about this? It's obvious that they're there. Just say something vague like "stay tuned" but don't just lie about it lol

Shavethewhales
I don't think anyone is deliberately lieing. There's probably simply a disconnect between the people working social media and those working on park, as usual. The GL trains and dragsters might have been sold already and are waiting for the owner to pick them up (which depending on the situation can take a long time). In any case the people working social media seem to think these items are no longer on the books, so effectively they don't exist anymore to them. I don't see them wanting to put the dragsters back in simply for the use of all that space.

undercoverunicorn13
I know this might be random but is Cyclos being built on the RRE Pad? Cuz I originally thought that part of LR was built on that...
Midgetman82
Lightning Run takes up more of Sky Coaster's previous space. RRE's pad is still vacant, and directly behind Professor John Flying Machines (the flying scooters).

I just looked at the LR POV by TPR and near the end you can see an empty square directly behind Flying Machines.
LawlessBagel
Too bad even those additions weren't enough to save GL. Quite the opposite....GL's success lend to CF decision to remove its competition with CP. I've never understood why I'm the only one who realized the day CF bought GL that it was going to lead to the closure.
MagnumFreak25
Because six flags totally would of sold it off it was as successful as you say.
thrillrider
And by them not adding ANY new rides to the dry side of the park, had nothing to do with it. As a matter of fact, they removed attractions what seemed like every year. This is not the "only" reason the park failed, but it is a big factor. MagnumFreak25
The park was to big for it's own good, at it's largest size it was loosing money. The only way to bring the park back to success was to shrink it's size to pre-six flags era. It was just to far gone to save.
thrillrider
So by removing attractions, it sent the park into a nose dive. They added NOTHING to the dry side. If you don't reinvest into a park, it's bound to fail. It's ok to remove an attraction or 2, but if you don't get "something " fresh, the park will become stale. MagnumFreak25
Six Flags tried adding new rides all the time and how did that turn out? Horrible. In what world would it be logical to continue a strategy that already failed? Maybe they could have kept the park going a little longer but there really wasn't much they could do. thrillrider
Six flags added too many rides at once. They should have spread the new rides out every few years. The park was not ready to handle large crowds.
