Thelegendarymatthew
Guy 1 : Hey when is that TLM guy going to finish that recreation of that park in Ohio? Guy 2 :Its out dated he will NEVER do that again Me : Idiots! Yes, I'm redoing the recreation of this one, because the other one sucked, sooo bad(I don't think I was here when I started it)I'm going at a slower pace, because I'm trying to get a more realistic feel on this. Also, before anyone asks about my other park, Sunrise Point. Updates will come for that park, just slower. I was going to do this in RCT3 because I had found some great scenery for it, but it didn't work, so I'm going to work on the park in RCT2. Now, the reason why I want to do KI, is because it is such an easy park to recreate! I mean, you got tons of fan sites(pictures), 2 recreations already done, a lot of people visited the park, and you can put the park together nicely. Now, sense I live in VA (home of two hard to recreate parks >=( ) I wont be able to get every detail right! Anyways, I don't have much too show, but I'm working slower, so its going to be common. Heres the overview of Flight Deck. (Yes, I'm doing my in-famous corner start off, hehe) Another note, before the picture, is that I more than likely won't be making some of the "back park" stuff, like the staff paths, GWL, and maybe Boomerang Bay. Oh yeah, I saw GWL, its too the right of Flight Deck, and I'm not making that either(saying that for the idiots!) ^I want to ask one thing. Do I have the exit/entrance right? I couldn't get it right on the first attempt. I'm sorry for asking something SO simple, but I kinda need to know, before I decorate it -Matthew K. P.S: Feel free to posts any pictures that may come in handy for this recreation. EDIT: ^Support Work, and Station Work. I found out which side the entrance was . I also need to fix the entrance, how its sticking out.
Reon
Looking good so far. Great to see you got back to work on my home park recreation! One small suggestion that might save you 2 spaces (I know KI is friggen HUGE) is that Flight Gun/Top Deck doesnt have a dip down before the lift. It just goes straight up, and that can potentially save you a few squares after you re-terraform.
Thelegendarymatthew
^Well, I really don't want to make a big change, I mean I would need to change the supports, or the station. I guess I can just remove the dip, but it wouldn't edit the track too much.
DBru
^Aren't you going for accuracy...? It won't be too much work. But besides that, everything looks great.
nemesiscrazy
Wow it is looking great! Will follow this project closely. Looks great so far keep it up.
Canobie Coaster
Flight Deck looks great. I can't wait to see it after you're done adding the trees!
Stoksy
Good to see you are back in 'normal' RCT2, lol. Looks great so far, but as I haven't been to KI, I can't really judge on realism.
Thelegendarymatthew
Sorry that I haven't gone anywhere on this, but if these screens are right. All I need to do is add the stream, transfers(I do not know where these two things are, or have found a good picture of them), the trees, themeing, and whats going to be a nightmare. The supports Anyways, heres the update. ^Lift supports, catwalk, and OMG Chain Pull! ^You know when your trying to find good images of something, and you can't seem to find them. Yeah . . . . . -Matthew K.
rckrazy06
You can always use google earth or bing maps to help you by looking at satellite images. And I know that bing maps provides a "birds eye view" perspective that would help you a lot.
dragsterfan420
This looks nice and I'm interested in how this will turn out. Everything looks fine so far.
DiSab
The transfer goes parallel to the final brake run, on the side closer to the station if I remember correctly. I should have a picture of it somewhere on my computer - I'll try to find it and upload it for you. EDIT: The transfer is a little hard to see, but its the closer track. The train is sitting on the final brakes, behind the transfer track in this pic.
Thelegendarymatthew
rckrazy06: Yeah, but those darn trees dragsterfan420: Thanks DiSab: I may need to move some things around in order to fit it, but it will be better for the recreation. Thanks!. --------------- Well I think I've been on Flight Deck for a while, so I'd thought I'd work on its neighbor. Son of Beast. meh', the other sites can wait! Reon
Dont forget theres a hill in between the 2nd helix and the last turn around...
DBru
Looks pretty good, but SOB doesn't have black trim, and the second-to last drop goes below the hill before it, and the rises above the drop out of the station, into the brake-run.
Thelegendarymatthew
Reon - You mean where the loop was? I didn't know they added a hill there DBru: Black Trim? The only brakes are at the end. ---------------------------- Now, I want to let everyone know that updates will be slow for this park, mainly because I have to do a lot of supporting, and I want to have the next update finishing up the two coasters. I also want to get started on a contest project, which I may consider dropping out of if I can't think of anything. Now with the update! ^I want to use the B&M support kit through out the ride, but if I want to be realistic I need to do this. If you want to complain about it, then I'm with you. I hate it myself. Stupid realism! ^I realize that the brake run is a bit different too the real thing, but I got it too where its close enough. ^SoB side one ^Side two (I hope I have enough room for FoF and AE) -Matthew K. Mochtroid
Your SoB recreation is excellent for RCT. Your Flight Deck supports are spot on too.
DiSab
What DBru is saying is that the catwalks on SoB aren't black - they're neural-wooden colored. Also, if you only have the final brakes, remember there's a mid-course brake run coming out of the first giant helix.
Reon
What I was saying was between the second helix and the last turnaround, there is a parabollic hill. But you did bring up another point: there is an elongated low to the ground double up where the loop used to be. Top Deck looks pretty good so far though. Great job with that
sfkk339
The supports are also like a faded purple on Flight Deck....just sayin
dragsterfan420
Son of Beast looks great. Just address what Reon and DBru said and it should be perfect.
angryemobeaver
Top Gun's track is a more faded gray and it's supports are a faded blue, not black. And Son of Beast is very faded so it's a brownish Gray. Also the layout isn't really that accurate, it doesn't have a random turn out of the Second Helix, and the turn before the lift hill is also a drop cause it follows the terrain. Thelegendarymatthew
^Flight Deck is what I call a "Medusa color", its a term I use for RCT2 when your trying to create a coaster and several color schemes can work. Also, RCT2 has a lighter grey? Oh yeah, all problems with SoB are fixed. Look, I want to tell you all what I told everyone at RCPro. Also, I won't be able to get everything right or perfect. I may also need to adjust somethings to make it look more pleasant to the eye. Its like on this site, if I post a picture of Flight Deck missing a support, I'll have someone saying "Dur, you forgot the support" Look, I know, theres things I modify and adjust for a reason. I watch PoVs, look at several pictures at rcdb, photobucket, and KIExtream. I'm sorry it can't be perfect, but its RCT2! (Note, I'm a bit mad at the RCT section, because there like me, but with more pickyness)
DBru
We accept that you can't make everything perfectly accurate because of RCT2 limitations, but if it is something as simple as changing colors (Flight Deck's supports/SOB's catwalks), that is just being lazy.
Thelegendarymatthew
^I know, I changed the colors on SoB, but Flight Deck has many acceptable colors, and I'm just going with how I like it, grey and black.
