Stoksy Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 Hi everyone, due to a lack of inspiration for Excitement Point I have decided to create another park, this time with a support blocker (thankyou selecting seperate objects ). I found out that where your screen shots are there is also a folder with all your downloaded cs. Simply delete that folder's contents and you can select seperate objects . This is my first first attempt at an "NE" standard park, now I know I am probably not at their standard (no-where near to be exact) but because of a lot of positive comments for Excitement Point I decided to make this park... History Sunset Hills in another park in the Stoks Co. park chain, the surrounding landscape is extremely bare, but Stoks Co. plan to have a lot of landscaping done as well as a heap of trees put in. This land has been sitting in the heart Europe for well over a decade, now that land will be turned into an amazing and exciting theme park. P.S. This park has been proudly inspired by all the expert RCT2 players, esp. TLM (Sunrise Point) & BRTeller (Epic Adventures). Now on to the pics... Remember to comment on anything you like or dislike. The LOGO, mind you this is my first attempt at making a logo. If anyone can think of a better one PLEASE post. Thanks. The small entrance plaza. I know it's bare but I quite like it, cute. The parking lot as well as a HUGE entrance sign! A small italian restaurant called Ventini. Right at the entrance. What could this be!!!???
Mochtroid Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 To get an NE accolade these days you have to use quarter tile blocks and ToonTowner supports. Look for the GW bench.
BelgianGuy Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 I don't wanna be a bad person but a previous RCT3 park of mine was named sunset hills, maybe change it if you want but if you don't want to I have all respect for it If your going for NE standards, well good luck working 2years on a park with only quarter tiles really its looking good but its no way up to NE standards
DBru Posted May 28, 2009 Posted May 28, 2009 ^^A site full of really good RCT2 players---many of which are very stuck-up and argumentative. (From my personal observations, anyway. )
Thelegendarymatthew Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 ^I'm on NE So far I don't see this being a "NE Park". Looks more like a park that can be good, but not that good. Also, you stole the name from me, and BG. -Matthew K.
DBru Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 ^Read: "many of which..." And technically, you both stole it from rctfan123.
themeparkman25 Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 ^Haha that was pretty funny. I agree though. Who cares about the name though, seriously? It should be what is inside the park? For example, I came up with Six Flags Magic Mountain, that shouldn't make whats inside any less "cool" just because its not original.
Chris Benvenuto Posted May 29, 2009 Posted May 29, 2009 ^^ Stuck-up is right! *laughs* I can see this being a fairly good park, I wouldn't call it GREAT yet, but I can see it going somewhere. Keep us updated!
Stoksy Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 I have to agree with you all on it not being NE standard, I was striving for something there is no way I could accomplish. If I was to change the name, what would you guys suggest? Thanks for all your comments. More pics coming soon...
Goliath513 Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 ^Read: "many of which..." And technically, you both stole it from rctfan123. Yeah I thought the name looked familiar. Sunset and Sunrise are the two most overused words in RCT park names these days, so avoid those. Of course, Six Flags isn't very good with original names for their parks either, so don't feel too bad about your park having the same name as someone else's.
Stoksy Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 Well, you know the B&M from pg 1... It has been built already, as my first custom supported coaster it is probably not very realistic, but I do quite like it Shiva - unfinished Excitement: 7.32 Intensity: 7.61 Nausea: 3.97 Air Time: 1.02 secs Drops: 11 Inversions: 4 The entrance to the ride with a large statue of Shiva herself. The station, more scenery will be added if necessary. Ride overview. What can be added to make these supports more "complete"
BelgianGuy Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 Man I don't wanna sound mean but your supports are way off and bad, I still suggest looking at real coasters more and less just building them. Its not easy to build good supports so I'd say just restart all the support work on Shiva because TBH it looks no way near good to me
the ghost Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I think you need to smooth shiva's turns. That coaster just does not look like a smooth B&M. Also, either make an extremely original layout, or modify another coaster(in this case a real B&M) and add your own unique touches. Dont make a coaster look boring and unoriginal. I am just not a huge fan of the layout.
Stoksy Posted May 30, 2009 Author Posted May 30, 2009 ^^Okay, after the Ghost's comment I will completely redo Shiva's layout and supports. This next coaster is un-named, so any name suggestions are welcome. How does this look for a GCI? A view from the front of the GCI. Back view.
netdvn Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 1. I really don't have a problem with the B&M's layout, but the supports do look like they need a bit more work and the MCBR looks like its just placed there. A small coaster like that doesn't really need a MCBR IMO... I think the ride would look better with scenery and some tunnels. Everything else looks great.
Mochtroid Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 The supports are in no way NE caliber. Zero-clearance and then make supports, then un-clearance.
Stoksy Posted May 31, 2009 Author Posted May 31, 2009 Thanks for all the helpful comments guys. They are all greatly appreciated. I began to work more on the park today and was able to build a couple more rides, here are the pics... An interesting new ride, Naval Submarine Base. A new Zamperla Spinning Wild Mouse coaster, called "Mighty Mouse" Another view of Mighty Mouse. New idea for Shiva. Better or worse? I know the supports need more work. Park overview...
themeparkman25 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 What will the theme be on the park? I like shiva much more now and the supports are much better for sure, IMO of course. I think the spinning coaster is a hair short and the sub ride is oddly placed, but other than that the park looks good. Can't wait to see more updates.
Stoksy Posted June 1, 2009 Author Posted June 1, 2009 ^To be honest I never really think about having a theme to my entrance, however I think that at the moment the theme is somehow city like, don't know how I reckon it just is. The area with the Shiva coaster will have some sort of "asian" theme to it, and the area around the GCI will probably be western.
themeparkman25 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I was just wondering, not pointing out that you should change that or anything. The entry looks nice, it is just a collection of rides at this point though. Keep it up!
BelgianGuy Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 The supports are on the good way but plz use zero clearance so you can build them like you schould, when I'm making supports its constant zero clearance and using trainers, Plz do so because now it looks like you have supports and a coaster floating under them
netdvn Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 The supports on the impulse do need fixing, but it looks great overall. The buildings seem a bit blocky though and the park looks barren. Add more trees/flowers and include a bit of theming to improve the look...
