So, we already have one about old video games, but what childhood toys and other old things do you remember? For me, I can name quite a few:

Toys:

My Pet Monster

He Man

Domino Ralley

Pocket Rockers

Pogo Ball

Transformers

Dino-Riders

Other random old things

Slap Bracelets (flat metal that coiled up when slapped on the wrist)

New Kids on the Block

Mickey Mouse Club (TV)

MC Hammer (Can't touch this!)

Nintendo Cereal

That's all I can think of right now as I'm still half asleep from waking up early for classes.

I always wanted a Cabbage Patch Doll but didn't get one. I also remember watching Astroboy (which my 5 year old son is now into), Kimba the white lion, Secret Valley (an Aussie 80's kid show).

Anyone remember these stuffed animals that had pouches and you could roll them into their pouch and they'd turn in to a ball??

For some reason, I'm thinking they were called Popples?

Please help me out here!

[edit: did a Google search, and yeah, they were called Popples; but I was thinking of a similar toy that some fast food restaurant used to give out... maybe Burger King?]

^ I thought that you could remember back before there was history.

The original series of the Transformers as well as the first release of Star Wars toys. Anything Lego and the first showing of the Air Jammer Toys, that are now back on store shelves.

As far as TV went that was easy, The Goodies, The Young Ones, Dr Who (with Tom Baker) The Two Ronnies, The Kenny Everitt Video Show, You Can't Do That One TV, Battlestar series and V The Mini Series, Speed Racer, Astro Boy, Monkey and that is about all that I can think of at the moment.

I miss original Lego sets (not the licensed stuff they sell today). There was castle, space, pirates, town, trains, etc. My brothers and I loved to play with lego, and we still have most of the pieces stored in buckets. It was always fun until it was time to clean up.

Also:

Old school Ninja Turtles (got the first two seasons on DVD), with toys, trading cards, etc.

McDonalds Happy Meal toys too numerous to describe

Classic Nick shows (Hidden Temple, GUTS, Double Dare, WWYD, etc.)

Nickelodeon Games and shows (Double dare, You can't do that on Television)

Any Saturday morning cartoon show (now they suck ass)

Sega Genesis (One of the awesome Sonic Games)

Rainbow Brite
