Not For Sale Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 Yeah, that pretty much sums up my feelings for Coney Island. I won't spoil it for you, it's a very interesting tribute.
robbalvey Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 I got 1:53 into it...and I couldn't watch anymore.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted November 2, 2008 Posted November 2, 2008 ^Yeah, I just skipped to the end.
coasterdude5 Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Hold on... he was arm-and-arm and whispering... with his dad?
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Ok, just clean up Coney Island and it'd be better! Is it really that bad?
Not For Sale Posted November 3, 2008 Author Posted November 3, 2008 ...You guys realize it's a comedy short, right?
coasterdude5 Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Yeah, but it's still creepy. Sorta funny, though.
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 Yes, I know. Creepy, but pretty funny. Is it that dirty though? Or did they just put random crap on the beach?
coasterbill Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 LOL Very nice! Sorry but Coney Island is a dump. You just walk around thinking about how cool it probably was once. It needs A LOT of work at this point.
haux Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 ...You guys realize it's a comedy short, right? Definitely. It just sucks.
Der Der Dongt Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 I am going to New York this coming up summer and I was wondering if at least the Cyclone and Wonder Wheel will be operating then?
DiSab Posted November 3, 2008 Posted November 3, 2008 That was hilarious. It is a shame that it'll be closing, but if it's really that bad (which I don't doubt) its not that much of a surprise. Still a shame though...
Six Flags Enthuseast Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 ^It's closing?!?!? OMG! Need to go there before that! When does it close?
andy_e219 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 That was actually pretty funny, but sad at the same time.
jamesdillaman Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 I am going to New York this coming up summer and I was wondering if at least the Cyclone and Wonder Wheel will be operating then? Yep, Don't worry. The Cyclone and Deno's Wonder Wheel aren't going anywhere, and won't at least for the time being. On a side note, I enjoyed both of these rides, as well as the day I spent with my brother at Coney. The freak show was fun and I loved all the little shops around. I guess it's chic to knock Coney now that Six Flags built an Intamin woodie and nobody wants to knock them anymore? -James Dillaman
sixflagsguy5 Posted November 4, 2008 Posted November 4, 2008 Awesome video. That's exactly how it was this summer. I was expecting him to be talking about how great the cyclone is and then after riding it be like wow that just sucked. It really is a dump though. It's in a really bad neighborhood and we were in and out of there in an hour.
