Guitar Hero World tour Vs. Rock Band 2

Which game do you think is gonna be better?

 

I think that rock band will be better becuase you can use your DL stuff from Rock Band 1 on it and also it uses the same drum set for it. Also there adding world tour mode and people creator to Wii and PS2 versions .

 

I dont think that the GHWT will be that good besides the drum set. They Made the drum set seem more relistic with 2 symbols, 3 drum pads and a bass petal instead of just 4 pads and a bass pedal on Rock Band. Also GH has the Song Creator but whats the point since you cant put vocals on it?

 

They also have good looking soundtracks but i think that guitar heros is better becuase it does not have a bunch of repatitive stuff from other guitar heros.

I can't really answer this truthfully beacause I've never played rockband before. I have GH3 and Aerosmith and I love them both. The only thing I was dissapointed about was the animation & motions of the characters.

 

I'll just vote for GH because I like the way the notes are displayed more and that I find the rockband guitar harder to use.

I like both games i just like Rock Band more becuase on the GH3 and Aerosmith you end up playing synth parks and other non-guitar parts.

But i do like the way that make it easier to see what notes you can use hammer ons and pull offs on guitar hero.

World Tour. I don't see anything different between Rock Band 1 and 2.. And the drums for World Tour are awesome.

GHWT. It has the music creator, The guitar controller isn't complete crap, the drumset is better, and several new in-game features (slide strip on guitar, hammer-on chords, etc.). Also: Crazy Train, Hot for Teacher, and the entire Death Magnetic Album=Win

 

^^^^ They announced just last week that you can make vocals in the music creator, you just can't add lyrics. There won't be lyrics scrolling across the screen when you play the song.

The drum set is better than if you have your own electric set and you can play RB2 on it? Really? I doubt that.

 

And being able to bring so much of the old content with you to RB2 is for me, more important than anything else.

no i was talking about the rock band drums there just 4 pads and a bass pedal. The new GH ones are gonna have 2 symbol looking pads on top 3 just drum pads in the middle and a bass pedal at the bottom. there are pictures of the new drum set on wikipedia but it wont let me copy the link here

Rock Band 2 has a good track list but Guitar Hero World Tour has way better guitars.

I think Rock Band 2 will blow GH:WT out the water. Downloadable content will be hundreds because previous downloadable content from Rock Band will be able to be played in RB2. The ultimate drum kit is two fold, a game controller and a actual electronic drum kit. I find Rock Band easily playable and fun while Guitar Hero is quite a bit harder.

 

also, all previous Rock Band Instruments and Guitar Hero Instruments will work in Rock Band. So I could just buy the ultimate drum kit and game and have Rock Band 2.

^^The cymbals don't do anything in-game, and unless you're actually a real drummer, you can't do much more with the new RB drum kit. It's just a way to squeeze another $100 out of customers by promising a "real drum kit". And Neversoft has promised more frequent DLC for Guitar Hero and plans to have a DLC library rivaling Rock Band's within the next year. Sure, they don't have a lot now, but they will soon.

I have Legends of rock on Wii and it's excellent, so I'll stick to the Guitar Hero series.

As far as immitation goes, Rock Band does a far better job. The note patterns on GH on expert on the last couple of songs are just rediculous and not really that much fun. It was obvious to me that it was made by a bunch of amatures who were new to the note patterns.

 

But when it comes down to it, Im thinking that this is the game that they've been working on since Neversoft took over and it might be pretty decent, hopefully.

 

With that said, I still like the format of Rockband a lot and the song selection is slightly better, imo. So Rockband 2 ftw

The PS3 version of RB2 doesn't come out for another month, so I'll have to wait until then.

 

I'll be buying Guitar Hero just because it's got a 311 song on it. I've been waiting for one of those for a long time. Hopefully Rock Band will have some 311 downloadable tracks.
