doublex98 Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 This is my first time doing a photo TR, so Im sorry if I screw something up. Anyways, I went to BGA in March, so I have no photos of Jungala sorry. Ok, here we go! Me being the dummy I am, took pictures of this instead of Montu... Well, hope you enjoyed this TR! Bye! I like this picture of ShieKra's underside....no pun intended. Nice picture of a bird in flight...oh yeah, and ShieKra. Which sucked because it was the longest wait of the day... Scorpion was short, and sorta hurt.. Scorpions LOOP OF DEATH. Scorpion and SheiKra and Flamingo's number 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on... Flamingo number 99.. They were shooting some TV show in a random garden... This is me, yes ladies, that is how big my chest is.... Dont forget the ear-picking Gorilla! and Zebras. Those things... This thing... BGA is also known for the animals. Such as Rhinos.. You dont see this shot everyday! ;D hmmmm this reminds me of another station earlier today.... Kumba. is. awesome. even better first drop... very nice second drop.. It was very cloudy in the morning that day. Which, Im guessing was the reason not alot of people were there. SheiKra, as you can see, had no wait whatsoever. I rode in every row twice! SheiKra is a great coaster. Although, I found it to be pretty short. BGA had very nice landscaping, I was pretty impressed. There goes Lion, up its lifthill! I found this coaster to be pretty smooth. Both trains were good rides. I rode both trains, and both sides of the station looked like this. First up, Gwazi We are finally here!
alpengeist04 Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Nice job on your first PTR. You picked a good time to go and hitting Gwazi early was also a smart move.
crazydaveh Posted August 1, 2008 Posted August 1, 2008 Nice pics. Crazy how dead the park seemed to be. I'm thinking of heading down before the end of summer and who knows, it might be the last time down before the parks are gone! Hope not!
doublex98 Posted August 1, 2008 Author Posted August 1, 2008 Thanks for the comments guys! Yeah, me and my family went on a Tuesday from 10 to about 4. I think the clouds helped with less people too.
dino Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Nice photo TR. The coaster pics look cool against the dark clouds in the background.
window Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 We rode Gwazi towards the end of our day in June, around 15:00ish. Both sides had no queue and it almost killed me! I couldn't stop laughing it was so rickety and hurt so much
mcjaco Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Gwazi, smooth? I can't wait to get back to Busch and really spend some time there. October can't come soon enough.
STR8FXXXINEDGE Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Nice TR! I really liked BGA. It looks like you picked an awesome time to go. I went in the middle of January. The lines weren't bad, but they definitely weren't as good as when you were there, and I only got to ride one side of Gwazi!
raptor6 Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Gwazi, smooth? I can't wait to get back to Busch and really spend some time there. October can't come soon enough. I hear ya! Busch Gardens needs to put some Millennium Flyers on Gwazi ala Hershey Park with Wildcat.
angryemobeaver Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 Nice PTR, i wish you could of posted some pics of Montu though. Your lucky you had no waits (besides Scorpion,) when i went in 06' Gwazi had the longest wait at about 45 minutes. Sheikra had a 20 minute wait, Scorpion was closed, Python had a 10 minute wait, Kumba had a 20 minute wait, Montu was a walk on, and for some reason we didn't ride Cheetah Chase.
HHN Dylan Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 NO LINES!!! You got so lucky, I've never seen Gwazi that empty before. I might just have to go up there soon... Sheik is always fun but very short I agree 100%. Great TR.
thrillrideseeker Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 I found this coaster to be pretty smooth. Both trains were good rides. Seriously? I have been on this ride a couple hundred times and both sides hurt like hell. Even after retracking. How in the world can you say this ride was smooth? Scorpion was short, and sorta hurt.. Seriously? I am just blown away. Compared to Gwazi Scorpion is one of the smoothest coasters in the park. Other than some strange comments about the coasters you had a great TR! ~Matthew
sam06pr Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 the 3 less popular coasters at BGA always have the most line. Scorpion, cheetah chase and Gwazi. CC because it has low capacity Scorpion- same deal. if only we could operate with 2 trains it would make it easier for us Gwazi- their operation is always bad. no matter how fast they try the lines are always long. you picked a good day to go. hope you had fun
doublex98 Posted August 4, 2008 Author Posted August 4, 2008 WOW! Thanks for all of the comments guys! Mabye I thought Gwazi was smooth because I'm used to Timberwolf....I don't know. It really wasn't that bad though. I said Scorpion "sorta hurt" I think it is just an uncomfortable ride. Anyways, thanks for posting everyone!
HHN Dylan Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Woo, because of you Im going to BGA at the end of Aug. WOOT.
doublex98 Posted August 5, 2008 Author Posted August 5, 2008 Woo, because of you Im going to BGA at the end of Aug. WOOT. Awesome! Just make sure you try to go on a weekday. Way less crowds.

window Posted August 5, 2008 Posted August 5, 2008 Gwazi- their operation is always bad. no matter how fast they try the lines are always long. you picked a good day to go. hope you had fun Not so my man. When I went in June, both sides of Gwazi were a walk on. As were Montu, Scorpion and Kumba. I will be posting pics in my Orlando TR ( http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=45063 ) as proof. The most we queued was 30 mins for Stanley Falls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes I'm being serious!!!!!!!!!

Hand 0f Time Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 Ugh! I so wanna go back there and tame SheiKra! :'(
jarmor Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 lol I like how you called the animals "things" when yu didnt know what they were. I would have done the same thing lol
HHN Dylan Posted August 6, 2008 Posted August 6, 2008 What do you guys think the lines should be around the end of August? Labor day weekend to be exact... Has anyone heard about these new fast passes?
