AlexG8462
Back in February 2008 my uncle hired my dad for a week long job in Orlando, Florida, and since my mom was working on a movie in Boston, my brother and I managed to come with our dad and we spent all week at Universal Orlando Resort and was the best time of my life. I know it might sound weird to spend six days at two theme parks, but both parks were almost empty, and I had to make the most of it since I'm not sure when I'll ever go back and check out the rest of the theme parks in Orlando. The pictures are mostly of Islands of Adventure because it's my favorite theme park out of the two and since they're all pictures of different days, you will notice weather changes and different clothes on me! Enjoy! Now to end my first Photo TR with a random photo of a "Zombified" T-rex. Yikes! "No, Thank you Universal Orlando for putting up with me." I hope to come back sometime soon! Ya I kind of got nervous on ride, but it looks like I'm taking it pretty well! Before it was time to leave, we decided to go on the Jurassic Park River Adventure one more time. The Thing: "Go see our two awful movies on DVD or else It's Clobbering Time" Here's another duck related photo for you guys! This time he's with a seagull in front of Dr. Doom. They have to build this at Universal Studios Hollywood! That would be cool. "WTF is this that I'm driving and where's the steering wheel!" "Somebody help me again!" It's the fight of the week, Mr. Crane vs. The Incredible Hulk. Who will claim victory and who will smell defeat! The Incredible Hulk is also empty. Could the world be coming to a tragic ending? Wow, Marvel Superhero Island is empty. That's something you don't see everyday, unless you happen to be a member of the cleaning crew. Who named the parrot Salty, and why does he work at Islands of Adventure? Nicholas: "Don't move or I'll blow your freaking head off!" "No Marmaduke, sit, stay bad doggy. Somebody please help me!" "Robb was right, this park does know exactly what people are thinking!" This has to be the loneliest on-ride photo I've ever seen! Can someone tell me why the splash in Hollywood was toned down? Please! Don't worry fellow Theme Park Reviewers, Dan narrowly escaped death. Even though his shirt didn't make it. "Damn you Jurassic Park Animal Control Gate Number 13." It's been nothing but trouble ever since the park opened! lol This little guy looks so relaxed. Even though it's a robot. "Hi I'm an Ultrasaur. I may be lonely, but at least I don't have occasional neck problems like my sister does in Hollywood!" One good thing about this version is that there is no parking lot in the background! That made me happy. "Insert Jurassic Park Theme and corny announcer here!" Time to go on the very different Jurassic Park River Adventure! "Excuse me Mr. T-rex, do you want some of my Icee?" Another funny sign, which reminds me of the two dinosaurs fighting for popcorn back at Universal Studios Hollywood! Baby dinosaur: "Mommy why is there a shelf in your stomach?" I got to name the raptor and its name was Erika! Looks like a baby raptor is about to hatch! This was something I didn't get to see during my 2006 trip. I found a weird sign in Camp Jurassic! This was my favorite island next to Marvel Superhero Island! Fire Dragon: "Do you think we'll be torn down for Harry Potter?" Ice Dragon: "No way, I'm the coolest ride here and you're the hottest!" Enchanted Oak: "Take one last good look at me before I become part of Harry Potty......ummmmm.......I mean Potter!" Look at the awesome looking clouds over Mythos! There was a storm one day so we had to leave the parks early. It felt really weird being at Islands of Adventure without a crowd. The longest wait time, until Saturday, was 35 minutes for Pteranodon Flyers! Either Universal Orlando Resort celebrates Christmas two months too late, or they're really slow! "Insert Port of Entry music here" This was taken on the first day and we really did beat the crowd. Only to find out there was no big crowd! Now it's time to go over to Islands of Adventure Here's a Mummy shot for you guys. It's very different from the one in Hollywood, but I like both of them equally! I never noticed this during my 2006 trip, but what is it with tornadoes and cows? I wasn't a fan of Twister either. I find it to be Florida's answer to Backdraft at Universal Studios Hollywood Nicholas and I decided to check out Disaster and it wasn't that great. It was just the same old boring Earthquake ride, but with The Rock and Christopher Walken. Amity 6 about to take unexpected guests to their doom. I'm sure happy I wasn't on that boat! Jaws ate my tuna sandwich and I'm trying to get it out of its mouth! lol That guy should have brought an umbrella. Ya it unexpectedly rained on us one day and then it stopped five minutes later! "I didn't know that NASA built a launch site on top of The Simpsons Ride building!" Don't try this at home fellow Theme Park Reviewers. That's why I'm juggling these bombs at Universal Studios! lol Nicholas and Milhouse causing some unneeded vandalism! Bart likes my shirt and cut the cheese in front of Homer! One cool thing about Universal Studios is how cool the lines are when you're waiting to get on the ride! Once we were in line, a flood of memories came rushing back when the ride was still in Hollywood. ......with the greatest T-shirt in the world! lol E.T., the greatest family ride at Universal Studios Flordia....... "Back in Hollywood already? That was the fastest six days I've ever experienced!" Lisa's got to start wearing a longer shirt when being in photo's with little kids! Here's a cool shot of Islands of Adventure in the distance. Take a look at the steam coming out of the water. When this photo was taken, it was 32 degrees. Once the park opened we headed straight for Jaws to warm up! Try to find me in the mist! A lot of mist falling into the water, like a waterfall. Random Ducks: "Let's break into Starbucks before those more of those idiot humans come! Quack." There was a kids choir singing at City Walk one day. I was super exited to be back after my first trip to Orlando back in 2006 Time for nothing, but fun and excitement!

TheRapidsNerd
A good perspective on USO/IOA and some funny captions. Enjoyed it. This has to be the loneliest on-ride photo I've ever seen! Got a good chuckle out of that one. The picture with the kid with the cannon reminds me of the recent Zorro movies. The smug grin and the leg on the cannon is most humerous. SFjunkie2010
that is actually chilling to see so little people throughout the Photo TR :/ I enjoyed your captions as well.
ElToroGirl84
That looks about as dead as when I went there last year. Great trip report loved the captions to your photos. Also nice to know someone else liked the Jurassic park section besides me. I loved the little touches to that sectio of the park I wish they would do more with it. Liked the cool Raptor hatching thing I don't believe I saw that when I went last year, maybe they are making an effort to bring some life back into that section of the park. Always did love that sign for the pizza place with the dinos fighting over a piece of pizza, always cool to see the big t-rex coming out of the woods at you too. Movieguy
IOA looks so cool. Especially marvel island. They should really work something out with Paramount, so that they can put in an Iron Man themed Coaster in that area...maybe a B&M Flyer

Disney Dood
Great TR. You took some very nice photos. The one time I went to USF, the day started crowded, as is expected on a clear August day. As the day went on and we were getting ready to go back to our hotel in WDW, we noticed the crowds had gone down practically 50%! All the ride times were like ten minutes some were walk ons. So it ended up the police had blocked access to the park because a police officer was shot nearby and they wouldn't let anybody in and they frisked you if you wanted to leave. So I got a bunch of rides on all the good stuff at IOA! Well, that's my story....
