SharkTums Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Thanks for keeping us updated, seems like we may actually make it to this park next year so it's appreciated!
viking86 Posted July 16, 2015 Posted July 16, 2015 Awesome, looks like its really starting to come together nicely! Every time I see pictures from this park I'm amazed at the level of detail put into the theming. Thanks for sharing!
BDG Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 After going through all the details for many hours, the contract with Great Coasters for the new wooden coaster in Plopsaland is signed. Construction can start after the summer. photo: Plopsaland
BDG Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 Anyone interested in a "racing suspended kiddie coaster" ? After months of rumors, the park finally confirmed it will be removing the Caripro Batflyer. According to the park, the reason for its removal is the ride's low capacity. http://www.intermarkridegroup.com/roller-coasters/caripro-coaster-rc1359 source: Looopings
JordyC Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Plopsaland De Panne will soon begin to build their new GCI wooden coaster and new themed area. Here are the first previews! Remember, the coaster will be opening in June 2016.
hydra Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Is that the same layout of White Lightning at Funspot? Looks like it to me.
SharkTums Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 ^Good call, looks pretty similar. I'm sure the theming will be much better though.
BDG Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Oh wow, that looks incredible. I was not expecting the station to be that close to the log flume.
_koppen Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 That theme is awesome, and since it's Plopsa it will be the way it looks! Is that the same layout of White Lightning at Funspot? Looks like it to me. A quick comparison on Bing Satellite shows it to be a 100% clone
BDG Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 (edited) It's not a "100% clone". The general layout is the same, but it's not a perfect clone. It was slightly modified. If you look at the layout as an L-shape, the two halves that form the L are the same, but the angle of the L-corner is different. Edited August 25, 2015 by BDG
_koppen Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 Good catch, I didn't even think of that angle change!
larrygator Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 ^Good call, looks pretty similar. I'm sure the theming will be much better though. You are really going out on a limb with that prediction!
ElvisLuv Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Sounds crazy this far out but I'm stating to plan an European vacation for 2018. Going to take my two kids that will be entering their senior and sophomore high school years. Momma will allow a few theme parks as to not over museum and culture them. Disneyland Paris, Efteling, Phantasialand and Europa seem no brainers. Plopsa de Panne and a couple of others are on the fence. This seemed like an easy park to hit while Momma did some alone time in the area while doing the coastal area here, would 4 hours be enough to get most of it done
viking86 Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 This should be a great addition to the park. White Lightning is a very fun ride that can be enjoyed by both kids and adults. Really looking forward to see the theming they will put into the ride.
