SharkTums Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 ^First off, you're 15...you don't know everything yet...just accept that. Secondly putting a bunch of ......... does not make your point any stronger. Finally, you just proved Robb right by saying that the 'forums and fan sites' are all complaining. Robb just explained to you that today's press conference wasn't for them, it was for the mainstream media outlets!!!
kraken613 Posted July 16, 2008 Author Posted July 16, 2008 Well i am excited for Animal Crossing, MotionPlus, Wii Sports 2, and finally Voice Chat! I never said they didn't have interesting things. But come on your going to tell me Wii Music looks good? I am a huge Nintendo fan! I never owned another system until this generation! It was a weak line up! Im not doubting we are going to get more core games but its E3. Reggie just said today the ore gamer shouldn't feel left out. Who knows we still have 2 full days of E3! Stranger things have happened! Also I have never watched an E3 conference including last years where you didn't have the crowed cheer like crazy. They didnt cheer this year! Hey im just saying what I think!
robbalvey Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 But come on your going to tell me Wii Music looks good? To each his own. I didn't think Zelda looks good but I'm not going to stop buying Nintendo products because they made one game that I'm not interested in. --Robb
kraken613 Posted July 16, 2008 Author Posted July 16, 2008 Im not going to stop buying games because of it! But im not going to support this game. At least not at the moment. But did you see all the Nintendo executives playing it! Doesn't look too interesting! Hey I'm saying what I think and I know alot about Nintendo and what they have done. I own all those casual games and they are good and i like to support Nintendo. They didn't pull it off well. Dont get mad at me for stating my opinion!
Carnage Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 People almost every gamer who owns a PS3 or 360 own a Wii. Those gamers are interested in the quallity titles core or casual. Can you back up that fact, or are you just stating your opinion? Because I'd think it's the total opposite. There is probably not a large population who owns a 360/PS3 as well as a Wii. They have quite different target audiences. 360/PS3 both aim for the older, more mature audience. The audience that wants action, blood, and gore. Wii targets more casual and family friendly games. Nintendo is making a killing targeting the casual audience. If they were to switch to the hardcore market they'd just be up for a losing battle against Sony and Microsoft. A hardcore gamer is simply going to go for a PS3 or Xbox360, as Wii can't come close to matching the volume that those systems pump out.
robbalvey Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Hey I'm saying what I think and I know alot about Nintendo and what they have done. Dude, you weren't even alive when my first NES game was released! --Robb
kraken613 Posted July 16, 2008 Author Posted July 16, 2008 So that automatically makes it that I cant know anything about it? I own a NES along with all the systems they have made. I have a freakin Virtual Boy! Yeah I don't know anything!
Carnage Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I have a freakin Virtual Boy! Yeah I don't know anything! You bought a Virtual Boy? Yeah, that actually DOES mean you know nothing.
kraken613 Posted July 16, 2008 Author Posted July 16, 2008 ^ As a collectors item. I am a Nintendo freak! I also have a N64DD. Well looking at the Wii section of IGN and seeing all they asked Miyamoto and what he has said to them he should have done the whole conference himself. He all but confirmed to IGN....... New Zelda in new direction Almost comfirm's the Kid Icarus Storage Solution Pikmin New Mario Galaxy DS Mario They are still posting more!
robbalvey Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 ^ I think this deserves a great big... TOLD YOU SO! My point about "I've been making Nintendo games longer than you've been alive" is that you seem to discount what I was saying. I'm not just a Nintendo "fan." I have worked with them from a business perspective freaking MAKING NINTENDO GAMES. I see things differently than you do with a better insight on how the company operates. If you don't want to listen to what I have to say, fine, I really could care less if a 15 year old wants to listen to someone who's been working with Nintendo for nearly 20 years or not, but already it would seem that my initial comments are already coming a reality... --Robb
mcjaco Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 ^ Dude, c'mon. Where's my 10 Yard Fight sequel? I'm hardcore.
kraken613 Posted July 16, 2008 Author Posted July 16, 2008 ^ I never said once that they would never make a core game! Nintendo said in an interview a few months back there would be a casual, bridge, and a hardcore game announced at E3!
thomas2 Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 Yeah Robb's right. E3 isn't the be all and end all. Best example is that new Wario game. They didn't say anything about it yet they're developing it. Maybe that also holds true for other first party titles. Anyway I'm dying to see the new Pikmin, but I'll probably have to wait another year.
Jew Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 But come on your going to tell me Wii Music looks good? Considering how well all the other "Wii" games have done, combined with how well Rock Band and Guitar Hero have done...I'm sure it will be another it. I think it looks pretty cool. All I care about is Chrono Trigger DS.

Have you seen the show? Wii Music, unlike GH and RB, doesn't require any skill. You don't have to press buttons to play notes. The only thing needed is some random movement. When Miyamoto played the sax he just moved around with the remote and that's it. The only thing interesting about Wii Music are the drums IMO. I think that's the only instrument that has some depth. Plus it can make use of the balance board so that's pretty cool.
Erik Johnson Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 But come on your going to tell me Wii Music looks good? Considering how well all the other "Wii" games have done, combined with how well Rock Band and Guitar Hero have done...I'm sure it will be another it. I think it looks pretty cool. All I care about is Chrono Trigger DS. Holy Crap!!!! There is a Chrono Trigger coming out for the DS? Oh, I now see it is basically the original version with the cool anime sequences that were on the Playstation remake (which was a real chore to play). I always felt the two Chrono Trigger games were a step above Final Fantasy. Hey I'm saying what I think and I know alot about Nintendo and what they have done. Dude, you weren't even alive when my first NES game was released! --Robb Was that the Wizardry port? I loved that game for the Commodre 64, I even used the remixed main title for most of my Busch Gardens Europe segment.
kraken613 Posted July 16, 2008 Author Posted July 16, 2008 Doesnt look like the mainstream outlets are too impressed by Nintendo. http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/e3-2008/e3-2008-blogs/1227326
Wes Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I'm gonna make a statement a follow it with a lot of periods............................................
TheBannedKid Posted July 16, 2008 Posted July 16, 2008 I want to hear about DLC for the Wii......... Was there any news on Rockband 2? I may wait for that, it looks to be coming out in November...................Yea..................
Jew Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 ^^^You do realize the link you posted says absolutely nothing negative about Nintendo, right?............ Have you seen the show? Wii Music, unlike GH and RB, doesn't require any skill. You don't have to press buttons to play notes. The only thing needed is some random movement. When Miyamoto played the sax he just moved around with the remote and that's it. That's exactly why people will love it. Who says all video games have to require skill. They can't just be fun?
Homer Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 ^Well, the Mario theme song they played sounded ear shattering though. And another thing overlooked from Nintendo, Kirby Super Star Ultra coming to the DS. Hooray for more SNES remakes! http://www.joystiq.com/2008/07/16/overlooked-e3-kirby-super-star-ultra/
kraken613 Posted July 17, 2008 Author Posted July 17, 2008 ^^ Yeah other than the big bold Nintendo Disappoints in the title!
Carnage Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 ^^Yeah other than the big bold Nintendo Disappoints in the title! So "E3 2008 Blogs" translates into Nintendo Disappoints? Interesting.
