SLUSHIE
I was at the Warped Tour yesturday and had a great time. I went with my friend J.J. I've only had about 12hrs of sleep in the past 96hrs, but managed to make it through the entire day (continuing now, because I still have yet to sleep after the show). I saw a bunch of bands and took pictures of some of them. I'm going to comment on each of the individial pictures below and just write whatever comes to mind about each picture, so read the pictures comments. My Chemical Romance: After the Dropkick Murphys we rested near the stage for a bit. we then walked over to the other main stage that My Chemical Romance was on. You can't tell by the picture, but we were pretty far from the stage. I spent most of th Dropkick Murphys: We hungout in the seats for a while untill it was a couple min before the dropkick Murphys set time. We then walked to the main stage that they played on. They put on a really good show. The picture is blury becase I wanted to get in Rufio: After Big D and the Kids Table finished we went into the ampitheater and sat down in the seats because I still felt to sick to go stand up in the pit. Big D and the Kids Table: The first band that I got to see, but did'nt end up seeing that much. I watched one song, then went and sat on some stairs because I was tired, and still felt really sick. Hawthorne Heights: After MXPX we went and got some refreshments and then walked by and watched Hawthorne Heights play a song or two. Really no the kind of rock I'm interested in, that being Emo. MXPX: Played a buch of good songs, a lot from their new cd. There was a good sized pit, but I felt extremely sick at this point. I strugling really hard to stay and watch and no go sit down somewhere. Avenged Sevenfold: They were really hard rock, so I didn't like them that much. The banners and smoke were pretty cool though. My friend J.J. infront of the Playstation Booth. We went in for maybe 1min and I watched some kid play an Itoy baseball game. ASG: After wandering around for a while after Gogol Bordello we ended up back at the Hurley stage. They were good, but not the kind of rock I'm really into. Gogol Bordello: They had these two asain girls that came out durring some songs that danced around, sang, and played some instruments. Gogol Bordello: The singer sittin on the barricade. Gogol Bordello: Now this is a very strange band. I can't even explain their sound, it's very unique. I love the song by them called Start Wearing Purple. They put on a good show. Strung Out: A hard rock band. I'm not really into hard rock, but I thought they sounded pretty good. Flip the Switch: A local Sacramento band. A great ska band, but we didn't end up watching them very long. Strike Anywhere: They were the nextband on the stage after Riverboat Gamblers played. We didn't really like them, so we didn't watch their whole set and left. Riverboat Gamblers: Here is the singer yelling in some girl's face in the crowd. Riverboat Gamblers: They had a great sound, and was really fun to watch. The singer didn't stay in one place. He ran all over the place, and even over the barricade and ran around in the crowd. The funniest part of watching then was watching the stage No Use For A Name: The first band we saw. They were really good. There was pretty much no crowd yet at this point. This was the setlist for the day. I wish they had used something else to display the times, or at least made it readable. Near the area of the sign they had papers and pens so you could write down the times. I took a picture of it so that I wouldn't ha
DenDen
Gawd, I haven't seen the offspring since the original Napster fiasco. (To refresh your memory, the Offspring started selling Napster logo gear on tier web site in retaliation for allowing people to trade songs on the service without their permission.) I do see they've got a TV commercial selling a "greatest hits" CD with a new song on it, guess their creative juices ran out.
CoasterFanatic
Dang ..... Offspring are getting old! There can't be any other band that is more fun to make fun of than the Offspring. Â I actually attended the "Warp" in 98 and 99. In 98, I interviewed Fletcher from Pennywise and all he did was talk shit on the Offspring the whole time. I used to love the festival, but nowadays there is just way too much fluff there for my tastes. Â // owns the Blood for Blood shirt that the singer of the Unseen is wearing. It says "White Trash Anti-Heroes" on the back.
AllisonY2K
yes! Dropkick Murphys! hmm, I hope the lineup varies, the only bands I would have wanted to see were Offspring, Dropkick Murphys, and MxPx.
benzo41190
I went to the warped tour when they were in Milwaukee. I love Offspring but I do agree they are getting old (age).

roeterich
WOW thanks for this "WTR"! It's good to see that here are some people with a good taste of music . The line up looked fantastic, even if the one from Denver looks a bit better^^ Maybe I get to a bigger festival in Belgium where I get to see Mxpx, Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte and lots of other good bands. I would love to see more of those festival trip reports especially of the warped tour because the bands that play there don't play many shows in Europe. CoasterFanatic
^ The old Agora. I have seen way too many cool shows at that venue. Hell, I even saw a Warped show there in 1997. Â Are you sure it wasn't in 1997. I recall it being at "fairground" type place in 1996. Â Some of my Warped Moments in Cleveland 96-97:

I know I was working at Cedar Point at the time and called in sick that day. Saw Sugar Ray before they were anything to sneeze at, Decendents, Bostones, Reel Big Fish... that was some fun!  My favorite show at the Agora was 311 in 1994. HELL YES! Before they went all pussy on us.  OH YEAH! HOW CAN I FORGET! I got to dance with that chick from Less Than Jake!

AllisonY2K
OH YEAH! HOW CAN I FORGET! I got to dance with that chick from Less Than Jake! Â um.....Jessica? I always wondered why she left the band that year. Â I saw 311 on the Warped Tour in '94 (Cocoa Beach) and then again a few years later in Lakeland. Both shows were amazing. I fell in love with Pennywise when I saw them on the 94 WT. Once they started the crowd went ballistic. I have never seen energy like that from the crowd. Maynard_Hicks
Warped Tour is where a bunch of no talent ass clowns prance upon the stage, with shallow lyrics and generic drumming, right? YES, THAT'S IT!!! Â Do I get a prize? Â Thank's a bunch, have a good one.
