FeelTheFORCE
Cool! Can't wait to get out there and ride my coaster! Any word on a logo yet? There isn't one on their site.

FeelTheFORCE
Makes sense. The reason I ask is because I'd like to use it as my avatar. I'll just wait until they put one on the website.

Xmeister
Wow... Aftershock looks fantastic. To be honest I didn't think it would fit in with the "feel" of Silverwood. Â However there is something very SEXY about this mass of steel standing next to those two woodies. Â I think this addition foreshadows Silverwood's emergence as a real player in the west coast amusement park industry. I expect good things from Silverwood. I expect good things from Silverwood. Â Reality check: Silverwood is in Idaho and this ride will probably be down a lot. Â Seriously, I wish this park all the best, but it's 5 hours from the nearest major city and Six Flags dumped this ride because it was not treating them well. DBru
Looking great, thanks for the updates! Â So what is the official Aftershock color-scheme going to be?

redfoot12
Couer d'Alene has a population less than 50K. Not quite a major city. Â I'd actually love to visit this park at some point though.
ginzo
And as for the 5 hours to the nearest major city thing, that is not true at all. Far from it, actually. It's only about 15 to 25 minutes to Couer d'Alene, Idaho if you count that as a "major" city, and it's a little less than one hour to Spokane, Washington, which is a major city. Â Wow, only an hour from the 107th largest metro area! It's still 5 hours from Seattle, which is what most people would think of as the nearest big city. Â The IAAPA lists Silverwood as Class 1: Â "Amusement and waterparks under 500,000 in annual attendance; family entertainment centers; attractions; nonprofit zoos, aquariums, and museums; and concessionaires" Â Silverwood might be a very nice park, many small parks are, but it's not likely to grow its attendance figures any time soon. And the fact that it's in a relatively low population density part of the country is what drives this. Â Holiday World, despite their remote location, has managed to claw their way up to over 1,000,000 guests, but they are drawing from several decent sized cities: Indy, St. Louis, Louisville, Cincy, etc. Silverwood, on the other hand, just doesn't have this advantage. Â Another apt comparison to Silverwood are the parks at Wisconsin Dells. However, both Holiday World and the Dells parks have large metro areas within close driving distance. The Dells are roughly equidistant from Chicago and Minneapolis-St. Paul (3 hours and change), with good-sized cities of Madison and Milwaukee closer than that. The Dells CVB also does a lot of advertising in the Twin Cities to make their presence felt. Holiday World has the large metro areas that someone mentioned earlier. Â Believe me, it's five full hours from where I am here in Seattle out to where Silverwood is, and there isn't much between here and there. Â With that said, I will be going out there sometime this summer to check the place out.
DBru
So if the colors will remain blue and green, why are some parts of the ride painted yellow (in the second update)? Â Am I seeing things?
mudvayneimn
I would have to say that definately is the sun shining on (or off depending on how you percieve things) the green tracks. Â Great updates! Glad to see this color scheme stay (i've always thought it was sexy) but for some reason the name "Aftershock" with this paint scheme doesn't work in my eyes...which is weird because a name like Aftershock doesn't envoke any specific colors, except maybe brown and red... Heck I guess you could throw in some orange and black there as well, maybe some smoky grey or slate blue matched up with some sunglow or goldenrod yellow....yeah, I'm just going to stop this post now. johnusername
Hi, where else is this type of ride located? I noticed one in magic mountain and I'm looking for one on the east coast now. Does anybody know?
matteocrepaldi
This one and the one at SFMM are the only two left in the US. There's one in Spain.

Killwize
Okay, So now that Aftershock is all set up and everything. Dose anybody notice something missing? Err... Uhaa ho! Â Check out this video of "Dejashock," LOL. @ Â Notice anything odd (comparatively) at 00:29 seconds? (Go ahead and look at a DejaVu video!) Â Â ...That just scares me. Silverwood! Have you even been paying attention? "Let me out!"
Killwize
Don't Vekoma's Boomeranges have a tendency to get stuck in the Cobra Roll? Â ...That's why you see a lot of them with stairs. DejaVu had them!
Killwize
After more review I guess not all boomerangs have walkways in the cobra roll. But a lot have been recently added. Â I still would hot want anyone at Silverwood to get stuck on a cobra roll... that high, just because the park did not build a platform! Especially when where was one on it at SFMM. FeelTheFORCE
From what I heard when I was out there, the platform is going to be eventually put up, they just wanted to get it built as soon as possible so people could ride.
Killwize
Oh that's good. I bet it will start rumors though. I already hear a rumor that someone died on it. LOL
