Godwyn
A little back story first. On the first day of the TPR Midwest trip, we were given travel pillows. Well someone (not going to name names) swiped my wife’s pillow. So she started to use this stuffed "jellyfish" that we won at Holiday World with our skeeball tickets. So everyday Jellyfish was packed to take on the bus to be used as a pillow. Being that he was with us everyday on that trip, we saw it only fitting that he go with us on our Disney vacation, but this time, actually being able to go into the parks to see what he had missed out on. So our story begins. Saturday April 26th. We headed down to St. Louis to spend the night since our flight left at 7:55 in the morning. It was bad enough getting up at 5:00 AM while on vacation, didn't want to have to drive an hour and half to get to the airport on top of that. Sunday April 27th. When we got to Florida we boarded the Disney Magical Express bus and we were on our way to Animal Kingdom Lodge. Our room wasn’t ready when we got there so we just hung out until our room was ready, then hit Epcot up later. Now on to the photos. It had been a long day so we headed back to the lodge before the fireworks. We'll get them another day. Afterwards, Jelly was picking up on some Mission Space girls. Actually they were doing the picking up. Off to Mission Space. Heck yeah we want the "more intense" version! Jelly was nervous seeing the bin of used dummy parts at Test Track. Donald looks different in person. After some looking, we found our picture from 3 years ago. Move over King Kong, its all about Jellyfish! We are off to Epcot. Well not yet, waitin for the bus. Too many jokes could be said, so insert your own here. The view from our room. Just in case you forgot that you were at Disney. After walking around, we decided to just chill in the lobby While waiting, we walked around the lodge and looked for animals. Entry to the lobby. Being more comfortable with busses, Jelly made friends with the driver. ...Jelly made sure we were in the right spot to unload. As we pulled up to the lodge... Flyin' south for the week. Jelly was nervous being this is his first flight. And here it is getting pulled into the gate. Bright and early at the gate, waiting for our plane to show up. It was going to be an early morning so Jelly headed to bed pretty quick. Our hotel right across from the airport.

TheRapidsNerd
I always get a kick out of these TR's with special things like Jellyfish or Hippo, or Roaming Gnome. It just adds some humor and a nice touch. This one made my day a bit better. Thank you.
Godwyn
^Your Welcome. You can only make so many photo trip reports about DW, so I thought this one would be different. It actually made our vacation more fun. Being that my wife and I have been there before, we were looking for what we called "Jelly moments". It was kind of like a scavenger hunt for props and photo ops to but Jelly into. It was funny to see the reactions we were getting while taking the pictures and to hear the "stories" that my wife would make up to tell people why we were taking these pictures. Everything from "its her grandsons toy", to "we are vacations dorks".
TheRapidsNerd
^ Lol! That's awesome! And often times, cast members, etc, will have have big sense of humor and dive right into a photo op. I definately look forward to more adventures from the three of you.

Erik Johnson
Just two questions: Does the Jellyfish get along with Wembley? Has the Jellyfish met Gene Simmons yet?
krazekiddd
Darren! Awesome Trip Report. Sorry I couldn't meet up with you guys that Sunday. Can't wait to see some pics of you and Chris as well.
Godwyn
^ Thats cool. We acutally didn't make it to Epcot till about 7. And that was the second time we were there. On our way there for the first time, Chris couldn't find her Key to the World card, so we headed back to our room. We tore the room apart looking for it. No wonder we couldn't find it, it was in her little backpack that she had with her. And I had kept asking before we left if she had it and she kept saying yes. So that came a running joke for the week, and everytime I asked her if she had it, I made her show me. ^^ Yes Jelly and Wembly became good friends on the 5 hour drive back from Cincinnati. We introduced them both to Pumba when we got home. And Jelly is a big KISS fan. Jelly and his idol. The 3 Amigos

Godwyn
Monday April 28th Day 3 So today we had something special planned. We were heading to Animal Kingdom bright and early to hit Expedition Everest. It will be our 100th credit. We actually got 2 new credits that day since we were able to get the other side of Primeval Whirl. After that we pretty much made our rounds of the park. Being that we got to Epcot late the day before, after we were done with AK we headed back to our room to relax a little and then went back Epcot to hit what we had missed and watch the fireworks. Going to go on a little rant here. I can’t believe the way some parents let/make their kids just run through the displays. There was one “flower garden” with Nemo and this little girl was up in it getting her picture taken. Well they had some plant with thorns on it and she ended up getting stuck. I kind of felt bad that she got pricked, but then again, she shouldn’t have been up in there. So what did her mom do? She sent her back in so that she could get her picture! Geez, you would think she would get the hint. I could see having the girl stand on the rock, but not actually go IN the garden. OK, end of rant. So enough typing, here’s the visual. Of the three nighttime shows, I like this one the best. I just love the music. And this brings this segment of the report to an end. Untill next time. OOOoooo... AAAhhhhhh. Quick trip to Norway before the fireworks begin. Back where its a little safer. (If you read the beginning of this post, this is where that girl was running around.) ... not food. Fish are friends.... Crush? Now its back to Epcot and The Seas. Be sure to heed the last rule. Rafiki wanted a picture taken with us too. And look who we found there. Off to Rafiki's Planet Watch. He was ticked off at the on lookers. He kept gesturing and vocalizing. This whole big area for that little bitty bunny, with humongous teeth. Just goofin' around. Iguanodon looks freaked out by Jelly. Trying not to become an appetizer. Trying not to get stomped on. Chillin with some dinos. Tree of Life. Off to Festival of the Lion King. This really is a neat show. You get to the point that you stop looking at the puppeteers. Off to see Finding Nemo The Musical. Jelly felt at home here. Afterwards we bought a pretzel. And these ducks wanted to be our friends. Duckies wants my pretzel! Duckies wants my pretzel! Yeah, we know... were dorks. I wonder how much money is down there. Or this one! ("Do you know what sarcasm is?") Bet nobody has this shot! Sun rising behind the mountain. First stop EE.

thecoasterkid
AWESOME trip report! It's great that you found something out of the ordinary to do to make your trip that little bit more special. Very good idea. Considering I sat with you Darren on that first day on the Mid-West trip I can just guess who stole Chris' pillow. I think his name begins with Chicken and ends with F***er. Am I right?

Godwyn
Tuesday April 29th Day 4 Today was Hollywood Studios day. Sorry for the lack of pictures this time. For some reason we really didn’t take that many shots today. As soon as we got there we headed for Tower of Terror. We ran over and got a Fast pass, rode ToT, went over to RnR, and then our time was up for ToT. Good thing too, ‘cause by the time we got off, the line was out of the queue. Then we pretty much made our rounds of the park. Nothing really stood out that I can remember. We then headed back to our room to rest a little then headed back over to watch Fantasmic! Well I get on to the pictures since no one really ever reads this part anyway. Snake, BIG SNAKE! I was video taping this so Chris was having to take the pictures. Well she got so "into" it that she forgot to take them so there are just a few. For all you Grey's Anatomy fans out there. Chris really likes this shot. Man, these green army men are bigger than I remember them as a kid. Have to take this picture. Everytime I go, I have to take this picture. Yeah I know, I'm a Star Wars freak. Eh eh... FIRE!!! Cool. Most of the pictures I took were of Indy. Run Forest Run!! OoooHHHHH.... Shiny object!!!! I can't believe that Chris forgot that this guy is a plant. I mean come on, look at his shirt. I think he needs a fedora. Well there's your problem! Off to some Lights, Motors, Action! That's enough of Tower, got the rest of the park to explore. As you can see in the top right, Jelly is enjoying is ride. Here he is getting shot down, so he just took the Fast Pass instead. Jelly picking up... errr... getting picked up by the cute hotel staff member. Jelly getting ready for some good Tower.
MisterP
Nice pictures of a toy jellyfish... I was being ironic.... But its good to see in these last few photos that you could actually take pictures of like theme parks and stuff..... ...but I'm sure a picture of a toy instead of rides and such is hilarious to a grown man in his 30s.....oh, wait..... packfanlv
^I think you are taking things way too seriously. How many times have we seen WDW trip reports. I think it is great that they found a way to have a little extra fun. If you want to see pictures of WDW without the jellyfish then do a search and I am sure you will find plenty. Beeja
^Agreed! I really love this TR with jelly, he makes me smile! And I had a good laugh seeing him with you guys on ToT! Great onride pic Nice work and thanks for sharing!
TheRapidsNerd
You folks are 2 for 2 for comical onride photos. The 100 signs on EE and Jelly on ToT were funny. Hey, you gotta have a little fun and put a different spin on a trip report, especially the often visited places like WDW. You know? Enjoying this one and thank you. Godwyn
Nice pictures of a toy jellyfish... I was being ironic.... But its good to see in these last few photos that you could actually take pictures of like theme parks and stuff..... WOW! I'm getting told of how I'm supposed to be having fun on my vacation. I've been to WDW 4 times before this so I already have pictures of most everything else, so we wanted to have fun (what a concept) and take pictures with our "mascot" in different situations. ...but I'm sure a picture of a toy instead of rides and such is hilarious to a grown man in his 30s.....oh, wait..... Geez, talk about being ironic, pictures of a "toy" in a place that is filled and inspired by a toy. Remember it all started with a mouse. And it seems you are the only one having a problem with this. But you know what? You don't have to read my trip report. Its called freedom. Like packfanlv said, go find another report to read that will show pictures that every other trip report will have. And for everyone else that is enjoying my report, thank you for your comments. Up next, Magic Kingdom.

If it's not your kind of humour, then ignore the topic. No need to come on here and bash the trip report. Personally I like the idea. It's different from most of the other trip reports (the Yeti Ball ones are about the closest to this) on the boards. A change of pace every now and then is nice. Like Darren already said too, it can be a fun little distraction while on the trip as well. If you've done a similar trip before, it's a little something to make it different. All the same..."If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all." *edit* You beat me to the punch Darren. I guess that's what I get for taking about an hour to write my reply. Work before pleasure though.
terrancew_hod
^Good afternoon ladies, gentlemen... haters. I say if the guy doesn't like it, buy a plane ticket to Orlando and bring his camera. Then show us how it's supposed to be done. Otherwise... well... you know the rest. Terry "sad people just love showing their in these threads" Weaver EDIT: You know when I get back from Europe I'm gonna have another coaster-lite TPR... so get ready.
