^Thanks for the rapids advice, that was really bothering me!

About the flatness, if I give you an overview, you can see that there is actually more landscaping than you think. Of course, this park is set in Northern Indiana. Have you ever been to Northern Indiana?

If so, then you know that extra terrain would be totally unrealistic

But I will add a few hills and such soon. Keep in mind, the park hasn't opened yet, and is family owned. Therefore, the park will remain small and near the entrance area (for now), and most entrance plaza's are flat...

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE

Hey guys, just got back from the park, and I have to say, I think their recent additions were placed pretty well. Grand opening is right around the corner...

Here are some pictures of the progress:

Whirling Dervish is the park's tilt-a-whirl ride. This thing was really squeezed in tightly!

Upon popular request, the park has moved some dirt around to help form some terrain around the entrance plaza.

More added terrain. The (non)rapids ride has been given a name! "Dogwood River Rampage".

Woodson Manor is the new haunted house. This particular attraction is a walk-through. I hope that doesn't turn anyone off...

With most of the attractions in place, rides will start testing soon! And you know what that means...

What does everybody think about the park?

RIDES TESTING!

Like I told, the park is in preparation to open soon! This means... the rides are testing!

Take a look:

Cyclone is maneuvering its main turnaround!

Dogwood River Rapids' last boat was shipped today, and should be ready for use within the next week!

Woodland Dash got stuck on the spiral lift this morning, but ever since has been running great.

The staff are also in training (this includes me, too! )

Because of all the support I've gotten from coaster enthusiasts, I've influenced the owner of the park to open the park on Wednesday night for a sneak preview! Details tomorrow...

Hey guys!

For those of you who have tried to download the park, and cannot open it, a solution had been found (thanks to COASTER FREAK 11)!

Please download the .zip below, and move ALL of the files into My Computer/C:/Program Files/Infograms Interactive/RCT2/Obj Data

Sorry for the trouble, but I guarantee it will pay off in due time!

Amazing Earl obj data.zip

Please leave TR's!

GRAND OPENING

Today was the Grand Opening for Dogwood Lake Park!

I came to work early today, getting ready for everyone to come. And boy did they come!

Ticket prices, I observed, were $15 for adults and $5 for children under 48" tall. This price includes all rides, AND *free* unlimited soft drinks!

Here are a some pictures from opening day!

Around 9:30, the crowds started PILING in!

The entrance plaza soon became filled with adventurous visitors.

Woodland Dash was the most crowded attraction today. It always had a line...

The garden area got busier as the day progressed.

Cyclone ran smoothly all day, but it wasn't very busy at all!

Dogwood River Rampage broke down over five times this morning! We were expecting that though, after all, it is an Intamin ride...

Grand Opening overview.

Did anyone get the chance to come out today? What did you think about the park?

See you soon...

^Thank you!

Summer, 1984

The weather was beautiful today, so I decided to take my camera out and browse the park.

Every ride ran problem-free all day. Well, except for DRR, which didn't open at all.

Anyway, here is a report on the park, today. Enjoy!

I love the (man-made) lake!

Twirling Timbers is a fun ride for the entire family. The park needs more of these...

The Italian restaurant and Woodson Manor generally draw large crowds...

Woodland Dash is undoubtedly the most popular attraction at the park!

A large plot of land is being cleared beside Whirling Dervish. Can any of you guess what is going in? (I already know! )
