matteocrepaldi
October 19th: back to Gardaland for Magic Halloween and to play with my new digital camera. Here's the pics. Thanks for reading! I hope you liked my trip report. The next one will be from a much better park! So fast! So we did it as the last ride of the day. All the rides had pretty much short lines except for Mammut which had at least a one hour wait for most of the day. I know that 1 hour isn't so bad but it's a Vekoma mine train we are talking about! My friends rode this top spin called Top Spin. I don't like this ride so I just waited for them at the exit. Sequoia Adventure (aka the crappy S&S) is built inside Magic Mountain. I took this one while waiting in line. Looks like this train is falling apart. With so many Vekomas around, the worst ride in the park isn't a Vekoma. It's this stupid S&S. My friends made me ride this twice. I HATE THIS RIDE!!! Through the trees! So we rode Blue Tornado again! It was running pretty well today. Splash!!! Ok. No more photos of Fuga D'Atlantide. Check out this awesome theming! It's so good we rode it again. Yellow poncho crew front seat take over! I've heard that this guy knows it but he won't tell anyone. Either way, it's still one of the best rides in the park. Or is it a credit? Is this a water ride? So we made our way to the next ride. Are you sure this is the right way to get in? And this is the end of the ride. It's one of the best themed rides in the park. Random giant face with Vekoma in the back! OMG there's water everywhere!!! Boobs! And this is me in line for Jungle Rapids. " Hello, I'm the ghost of a pirate animatronics. Come visit me inside the Corsari and don't forget to bring me some candies!" I always wanted to take a shot like tis one. Now I can. This should make Derek happy. It was running ok today; nothing special. We went to ride the best ride in the park: Space Vertigo. Short but still powerfull. " Give me some candies! NOW!!!" Random Halloween theming in the main street. Just throw your feet up in the air like you don't care! The coolest part of the ride! Inside the park there were more of these giant creepy guys. Someone is already suffering. Soon I'll be one of them! And this is scary for real!!! This creepy giant halloween car/dude/thing welcomes you just outside the tunnel that leads you to the main entrance. What do I see through the trees?! Finally I got to Peschiera del Garda and here's the first sign of the scariest halloween event ever! Here you can see the newest ride of my awesome home park: the not so giant fresbee. I took the train to get there. This is my awesome home park; it's called Europark Idroscalo. I know, this pic is pretty bad.

the ghost
^Thats not fair there are lots of good coasters without inversions! Ginzo is not disagreeing with you. In fact he's somewhat agreeing with you. We all know OSTR's are uncomfortable and he is asking why a coaster that does not go upside down have them. Anyway awesome pictures, BTW does it hurt if there is a lot of airtime with OSTR's because the only rocket I've been on is accelerator and OSTR's seem like they would hurt on parts of the ride with airtime. Im not a huge fan of rockets anyway because while they are fun a lot of them feel the same. Of course with the exception of Storm Runner and a few others. matteocrepaldi
Ok. Can we stop talking about Intamin OTSR and focus on the trip reports? Here's a teaser for my next trip. Soon...
Vid_w
Nice trip reports! I've been to Gardaland on Sunday, and I was surprised by the theming... IDK why, but I never thought Gardaland would have much theming... Anyway, what is it about Sequoia that you don't like? I mean, it's not the best ride ever, but it's still pretty fun, and the feeling at the top, when you know the train is going to flip over any second, even tho the train travels quite fast, and there's nothing you can do about it, is awesome IMO... lol Also, I rode Blue Tornado 3 times, and the only time it hurt my head was when I was in the 1st row! Oh, did you buy the Gardaland express extreme card? On sunday, the lines were huge, and it really helped out a lot!

matteocrepaldi
November 1st 2008: EXPEDITION SPAIN: DAY ONE: Parque de Attracciones de Madrid! First I want to thank all my crazy friends for another awesome trip and in particular those who worked to make it so special. Ok... here we go! Thanks for reading! Let me know if you like my pics!!! And before we realized it, the first day was over. We finished our day with one last ride on Abismo. POV shot of the best dark ride in the park: Fantasia! Back to Abismo; what a great ride?! There are even some real Orchids inside this ride! Nice! Awesome jungle theming! This is me on the awesome jungle boat ride! Waiting to ride the jungle boat ride! Every park should have a Mammut somewhere! And guess what?! The same thing goes for this one! Look at it! We missed the best kiddie credit ever! I wanted to get this super awesome credit but we needed a kid. When you have to steal a kid to ride you see who's a real credit whore and who's not. We weren't. Part of our group decided to do something really thrilling! I was with them! Perfect signature shot! It looks so good you can't stop taking pictures!!! Airtime!!! I also had some fun with my camera! I found a nice angle to take photos of Abismo! My friends decided to ride the NEW ride for 2008: the Disk'O. I don't like spinning rides so I just didn't ride it and went around to take some pics. Overall it was not a bad coaster even if it had some rough spots and the final helix was too slow. My friends in the front row are having a good time! Here comes a train! Finally! Intamin signature shot! Not the best Intamin around but it has the craziest supports ever. Time for some crazy Intamin awesomeness. Random Halloween theming. We rode Tarantula. It was OK. I still think that Dragon's Fury is better. Time to move to the next ride. There were so many rides not working that we didn't have many choices. Ready to go upside down?! Nice! The lift hill is something unique. It really gives that feeling of falling off the restraints. Time to ride Abismo. My friends enjoied their ride. While waiting for Abismo to open we went on the free fall tower. It's an Intamin so it's obviously good! Random close up. And that's a steep lift hill! Abismo was still closed. Many of the rides inside the park had that little white board which says that the ride is closed for manteinence. Finally it was time to get some action! OMG! This guy looks just like me! After about 15 minutes of walking without getting any closer to the rides we decided that the forest of doom wasn't really the best place for a photo walk back tour so we went back to the park entrance. We arrived just in time for our awesome photo walk back tour of the forest of doom. I should post this later but I don't have one from the other side. With another train we arrived to our destination: Parque de Attracciones de Madrid. Undergound randomness. So we arrived in Madrid and we took this very fast and cool train to go to the hostel. Due to the fact that the flight was scheduled to take off at 6 am many of the partecipants decided to spend the night at the airport. I wasn't among them. It's 5.30 am and we are all ready to get on out flight to Madrid.
Dr.Pest
oh ohhhh Matteo !!! ... nice pics !!!! i really like all your photo but some are great !! Abismo its a very interesting coaster, like all the new Maurer S. !!
matteocrepaldi
EXPEDITION SPAIN: DAY TWO: Parque Warner: The day of the missed credits! An artistic shot to close my report. If you look closely you can see Superman!!! Next time I'll get better batteries, a tripod and you'll see better night photos. I really need a tripod! Superman at night: first attempt. So we finished our day with tho more rides on Superman and one on Batman. It was a great day even with two big missed credits. After 6 more rides on Superman we went to watch the Batman Bebins show. That's probably when we lost our hopes about riding Stunt Fall. Best kiddie ride EVER!!! Another great shot by my friend Gigaman. So I went back on Superman. I shouldn't be so sad about this one but a missed credit always hurt. And here's Stunt Fall, in cas you wander. The train is still there. See what I mean?! Photo by Gigaman! There's also a big a$$ free fall tower in this park! It's lame but it gives one nice view of the park from the top. Random Superman's first drop shot with Batman zero-g roll on the left. Superman's first drop was so awesome. In the back seat you get out of your seat in the pre drop and you float all the way down. Amazing! Probably not an acceptable amount of water. Photo by Ago. The extremely awesome log flume. Photo by Ago. After lunch, the best wooden coaster in this park was still closed so we went to ride soething else. Lets take another picture before it's too late. So we went to have lunch in Gotham City. There's something wrong here... Stunt Fall's train got stuck in the cobra roll. I bet it's nothing big and they will move it back in the station in no time! Another test. While we were there they started to test it but the train stopped at the bottom of the second lift. It looked like they were having some problems on getting the train up the second tower. We went back to the mad house to wait for our friend and after a few minutes something really BAD happened... As soon as we got there an operator told us that it was not yet open. We asked if it was going to open later in the day and he said yes. He looked like he was pretty sure about what he had just said. Classic signature shot of Superman's lift hill from the midway. The group went to enjoy the mad house while me, Kunzi and Gico went to check out Stunt Fall conditions. Close up for the real B&M fanboys. Cobra roll!!! It's a super awesome ride even if in the front it vibrates pretty bad. That's why I kept riding it in the back! Time for more B&M awesomeness: Superman Attraccion de Acero! I like this photo so much I had to post it in my trip report. It was taken by my friend Ago. Second credit of the day: Batman The Ride. I rode it twice: once in the front and once in the back. It was awesome. It wasn't my first Batman experience but I wasn't expecting it to be so good. After the teacups we rode Batman The Dark Ride. I can't remember the real name but it wasn't so good so it's not really important. The guy in the picture is our webmaster: Penny! Time to take a spin on a classic ride: the teacups. We were spinning way too much. Photo by Ago. Enjoy your ride! First credit of the day: Ton & Jerry the ride! Best fountain ever! While waiting for the coasters to worm up and open, we rode the Scooby Doo dark ride. Ok. The good news is: they are testing Stunt Fall. The bad news is: there are some problems with the second tower. It looks like they can't pull the train up. So we'll have to wait. Maybe they can fix this! I spotted some B&M awesomeness in the back of the park. Random theming! The park was still closed but they let us inside the main street. The bad news was: Coaster Express was not going to be open today. The good news was: Stunt Whatever was going to be open today. Group photo in front of Stunt Crap! Photo by: Dodo As you can see there was a huge crowd waiting to get inside tha park this morning. Some paparazzi were waiting for us!!! Stunt Fall parking lot signature shot. It looks really nice. Credit! Can you spot the turtles?! Those trees were really big! Welcome to the jungle! While waiting for our train at the Atocha station we visited the botanic garden. matteocrepaldi
MIRABILANDIA EPISODE 1: Katun, iSpeed and HOT CHICKS! I went at Mirabilandia this past weekend with some friends and we had lots of fun! With this one I close this trip report! Thanks for looking at the pictures! Can you spot the water dummies on the train??? Everything looks ready for testing! UPSIDE DOWN!!! This drop is amazing! Through the trees!!! Did I mention that Mirabilandia has a HUGE ferris wheel? We didn't ride the towers this time because the wait was too long. I rode them a couple of weeks ago and they were still a lot of fun! OMG! It's a POV shot! Is this an inversion? The bottom of the top hat! The log flume passes right underneath the top hat! Log flume POV! Time to ride the cars themed log flume! This is an artistic view of Ghostville station. Ghostville is a dark ride with crappy animatronics and live actors that scares you. I really like it even if I don't like when people try to scare me. Pakal sign! We didn't ride Pakal because the line was too long. And a great view over iSpeed! LOTS OF FIRE!!! CRAZY BIKERS! HOT CHICKS! There are HOT CARS! This is the best stunt show ever! Random rapids shot! Wrong! Trying to be artistic on the way back to iSpeed! Crazy artistic photo! After Katun it was time for the new dark ride: Reset. This is the only photo I have of the theming! Katun is a roller coaster of death! Amazing wheel cover art close up! Lift hill signature shot! The queue was full but they added the third train so we waited only 15 minutes. Lets go ride something! Sexy Intamin curves! The station is almost ready! No monorail today! The track is still open from iSpeed construction! We went straight to check out this new awesomeness! The park's open! It's time to get inside! B&M 90 degrees awesomeness! The other side of the cobra roll! Katun's cobra roll is actually outside the park's perimeter and you can get really close to get some great photos! This is all you can see of iSpeed from the parcking lot! When you see this you know you are in the right place!
