Halloween Costumes Photos!!

My girls are JEM and Ruby Gloom! Most everything was homemade and I did their makeup!

 

Wait, how do your kids know who JEM! is? That's outrageous!

 

Because their mom is awesome!

 

Truthfully though, they've watched it on the Hub. And when Ally told me she wanted to be JEM I was completely behind it! Makes an 80s child proud.

I think it's time to bump this thread for this years costumes. This year I went to a party with a theme of Alice in Wonderland. I figured there would be a few white rabbits so I went as the less popular March hare, but there were no white rabbits

Put this together a bit last minute, went for a bird esq costume and inspiration.

Ultimately, I went without the nose as I did not have the proper adhesive for silicone.

 

I made the costume by buying things and piecing them together.

 

The corset, hat, gloves, leggings, and boots were bought. I bought and added fabric to the bottom of the corset, and I made the nose. The shoulder sleeves were a skirt that came with the corset. I cut it in half and turned it into a pair of sleeve.

Thanks to the use of Discover Rewards, I think I spent a total of $50 to $60 out of pocket on this entire costume.

Thanks to some changes in my life this year, it looks like I won't be dressing up for Halloween this year.
