^Same. I'm thinking it looks tacky from up close, but probably much better from farther away.

^That's exactly why I'd like to see a wider shot. Lots of shiny things+weird shade of blue=could look super tacky. Or blend right in given the shade of the roof tiles were already blue.

I'm also thinking that the shingles themselves might even be blue mirrors, lol. If that's true, this thing is going to shine VERY bright all day long! I can only imagine what it might look like when the night time show light hit all these shiny bits!

There is a great update on the castle from Mintcrocodile. Here are some pics, follow the ling for more and much bigger sizes!

Here is that wide shot for you Joey. I dont think that the new turret roofs look bad at all!

They are just like the "Snow Roofs" from Christmas. They just sit on top of the existing roofs.

Well, I think we can agree that the roofs wont look bad. But I am sure there is more to come! LOL

As long as this doesn't happen!

I feel like Disney is 50/50 on their castle decorations sometimes, lol. So hopefully this wont be bad!

Looks good to the naked eye. The jewels look tacky to me in the close views, but from far away (where most people will take their photos) it looks good.

Yeah, that birthday cake was so incredibly terrible. I'm interested how the new one will look after it's all completed.

We recently told you about the new expansion of Grizzly Peak at Disney California Adventure park, and today we’re excited to open the all-new Smokejumpers Grill. This new quick-service location is the first phase of the Grizzly Peak Airfield addition to this land, in the space formerly known as Condor Flats. As you can see in these photos, Smokejumpers Grill honors the brave men and women who fight wildfires in our California forests. Take a closer look in the gallery below.

The location will also feature an updated menu with tasty items like a Bacon Cheddar Burger, Grilled Chicken & Jack Sandwich and Chili Cheeseburger, so stop in during your next visit!

I always found the food at Taste Pilot's Grill to be "meh," anyway. I hope the new restaurant is better.

eddytheviper recently posted a great Trip Report to TDS, and included this nice photo (to me) of a "Dry Aquatopia" in plain view. This immediately made me think of what the upcoming rehab of Luigi's Tires Attraction could go like, if trackless technology was used, "as rumored." Looking at this, all you'd have to do is change the ride cars to "Cars" cars, add stop signs, lights, landscaping all around with crazy traffic line patterns, etc. And they could run the exact same circuits too, as Aquatopia runs.

It would be like Mr.Toad's Wild Ride ...without Toad, lol.

And the rock work is already there for a "Cars" redo at Luigi's! (Great photo, Thanks eddytheviper!)

A trackless version of Mr. Toad's Wild Ride could be great.
