THE ONE
I had some time to kill and since i was in Madison Wisconsin i figured to take a ride over to Little-A-Merrick-A and see what was going on with Meteor. I know it's a getto park. But since i was in the area i would do a update. Their does not seem to have be much progress with the ride since December when Duane Marden from rcdb was their. They have not finished tracking the coaster yet, there is no chain or rollbacks on the ride. Their was no one in the park to be found working on the coaster. I wonder it the ride will open this May or not. The Wild & Wooly Toboggan's cars where is shrink wrap on the track. I Forgot to take a picture of it before I left. downunder
That spiral coaster looks bizarre, I am particularly interested in this park because it is my bet for what the bonus park will be on the way to Wisconsin Dells on mid west trip, I'm probably wrong but it's four credits if they finish Meteor. I have never been to a ghetto park unless you Magic Mounatin and Great Adventure in that category.
the sound
^ Its one of very few surviving Chance Toboggans. Check out my Yugio Card i made out of it! Anyway, Meteor reminds me of a Pinfari Figure 8, or one of those Figure 8 makes.
steel
Wow, I was wondering if they would ever do anything with the footers for that ride, lol.
verticalzero
I heard this Park has bought the "Comet" (are they the NAD ones) trains and wants to re-create a copy of the sadly-missed coaster , which is still SBNO at Lincoln Park. Anyone got any updated pic's of the "Comet" in it's current condition.

It's a horrendous ride too. I hated that ride as a kid when it was at Santa's Village.
errtyme
Robb actually has a Photo section of this park describing his distaste for its strange rides Nonetheless I plan on hiting up this park when I go to the Dells... I'll have to keep up on the Meteor news, I'd really want that credit when I go. Clay "I live in the ghetto, I'll ride coasters in the ghetto!" Carnage
That spiral coaster looks bizarre. Tobaggons are definetly bizzarre. They're also pretty brutal, especially if you're tall.
snuggles
They should get a loan to build the comet.
Airtime&Gravity
I've never been to this park, but from the 2005 visit, it sounded like Robb and Elissa hated the place. However, they seemed to like the clone of this at Kiddyland. This coaster looks fun, and due to its' size it is something the whole family can enjoy. snuggles
Well, it is a nice clean little park, I don't see why there would be any hate for it.
robbalvey
Well, it is a nice clean little park, I don't see why there would be any hate for it. Um, I guess it was "clean" if you call a bunch of rides on a parking lot "clean." Just look at our photos: http://www.themeparkreview.com/dells2005/amerricka/amerricka1.htm Basically all the rides were in a parking lot, while the parking lot was in a grassy field! The place was decorated with folding chairs and patio furniture, weathered benches, rusting cars, make-shift "sharpee" signs, pathways made of gravel, and the "ticket booth" was inside someones old garage. Not that I guess there was anything really wrong with it, it was just VERY "low budget." --Robb
Bubba Z
The Comet. The lift hill fell down from the weight of a snowstorm a couple years ago. robbalvey
^ That ride is MUCH smaller than I has thought.
errtyme
I love little, old coasters like that. Unfortunately I'm a youngin..never get a chance to ride the old school, haha. Clay "wishes Riverview Park was around" Lamanske

It looks like everything there is clean and everything would look better in an actual amusement park setting. So it was kind of like a non-falling apart williams grove of some sort? Shavethewhales
Eh, it may have a smaller budget, but I wouldn't pass this park off as 'ghetto' so quickly. After all, from a lot of what I've see, it's pretty clean, even if it doesn't have expensive theming and the lot. I would go. Wasn't this supposed to be a re-build of an old ride rather than a complete new coaster?
coaster05
IMO it is exactly what you think of when you imagine a "ghetto" park.

Warlord694
Their Mad Mouse may well been the first coaster I ever rode. Chain-of-Rocks park in St. Louis had this exact model there in the 70's and the history of this coaster makes it possible that it was there. It sat at edge of cliff overlooking Mississippi River and at the turn at top of lifthill, I always thought is was going over the edge.
Canobie Fan
^ That ride is MUCH smaller than I has thought. Well the lifthill and first drop fell down! So yeah.. thats why it doesnt look that big but as I have seen it in real life.. And track walked it I would say it was MUCH bigger than say Flyer Comet at Whalom.. Or Thunderbolt at SFNE.... More along the lines of Coney Cyclone.
THE ONE
I think the Comet might be the size of the park. Well at least the length of the park wouldn't you agree Robb. I will be in the Dells area in a week or two depending on work so i will try to get anther photo update. not that things will change much by then. If it will even open by May.
