Me and my mate we was just thinking about different ages you have to be in different countries to do different things. like how old do you have to be in the US to drive and that.

Here in the UK you have to be 16 to drive a moped / Scooter and 17 to drive a car. is this the same ?

It's 16 across the board on public roads here as far as I know.

They are thinking of puching the driving age to 18 where I live, but are looking against it due to the farms of the southern part of the state.

oh right. there thinking of making 25 i think it is over here because there are too many people on the road. also i think the insurance companies have put there price up to stop young people on the roads

Here in California:

16 to drive.

18 to buy tobacco products, vote, stay out past curfew.

21 to drink.

25 to rent a car (there are exceptions, though).

47 to be me.

62 to get into Knott's (and I think Six Flags) for the kids' price.

Hope that helps you.

25 to drive is just stupid. I'd be shocked if that actually became law.

In Canada (or at least Ontario), 16 to drive, 19 to drink and smoke, 18 to gamble.

I'm not sure (because I'm not a gambler), but while you have to be 21 to play in Nevada casinos, I think you can play in the Indian casinos here at 18. At least you can see the shows.

Of course, there's no age limit to gamble at this casino!

We've done parties for 12-year-olds if you can believe it! Anyway, cheap plug over...

Australia: 18 to drink, gamble, smoke, vote, watch porn; 16 to drive (varies in diff states), and be "legal" if you know what I mean.

Finland:

18 to drink alcohol, smoke, vote, drive, watch porn, gambling.

15 to play lottery games and common small slot machines (in gasstations, cafe's, shops) where you can win only up to 40€. (the age for buying lottery type of games came last year, before that I had played when 12 yrs, although I never won anything.)

In my neck of the woods, Florida.

Driving: WAY back when, it used to be 13 (this was MANY years ago, from what I heard)

But now, its 15 for a learners permit and 16 to drive.

18 and up for porn and cigs.

21 and up for alcohol.

To clarify the driving part, you have to be 16 to get a learners permit (only allowed to drive with a fully licensed driver supervising you), 18 to get your probationary licence (a few restrictions, such as BAC of .00, less demerit points up your sleeve, cant drive a high powered car etc, in some states you cant do over 100kmhˉ¹), then at 21 you can get your full licence.

To get your motorbike licence you have to be 18 too.

Everything should be 21 in the UK, the most car deaths are between 17 and 25.

sex - 16

Get Married - 16

21 is fine and make the car test more difficult, next year there will be 100 questions for a UK car test.

I can't think of a good reason at all for a child the age of 13 to get married... does anyone have any idea why a child would want to get married at 13?

Also I believe that you have to be 18 to have a full non restricted licence in NY. Meaning you can drive past 9pm and be able to get a ticket and not have your licence taken right away.

i dunno there are just people who want to get married at that age, cant understand why but that rules the same here. If your under 18 and want to get married then you need parental permission.
