Ryan King Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 I thought about posting this in the "Youtube" Topic and such. But this is a video of its own. I found this on "Albinoblacksheep.com". It talks about computers and other REALLY outrageous facts...Its really rather crazy and eye opening. This is a must see... http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/video/shifthappens -Ryan
Rocker_Dude Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Wow by 2049 the capabilities of a $1000 dollar labtop will exceed the capabilities of the human race. Very interesting. And the myspace thing was SCARY. Man I am so freaking UHHHH my brain hurts.
dandaman Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Wow... I wonder what an environmental version of that would look like (aside from An Inconvenient Truth)? Scary stuff. EDIT: Hey! I hit 1500!
USRoadTripper Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 The one that was surprising to me was that there are more text messages sent every day than there are humans on the planet. -Julie
vjgx Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Cool video... And plus, Albino Blacksheep is a great site.
coastrfreak2000 Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 ^Does that mean this was your first time hearing it?
Luxo Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 The only points that really surprised me were that there are more honor students in India than there are students in the US, and that China will become the largest English-speaking country.
IceDragon Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 if thats all true... bloody hell... were all screwed
Fallen Heretic Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 the music in that video was great. Its an excellent arragement from the movie Last of the Mohicans. The whole soundtrack to that film is awesome. That part in particular is based on an excellent peice called The Gael by Dougie MacLean. I like alot of his compositions (and not just because he is scottish). The original version sounds very different to the arrangement in the movie. Both are good though. There are some worrying things in that clip, but Ive seen predictions like this ten years ago, that never came true.
ginzo Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 The only points that really surprised me were that there are more honor students in India than there are students in the US That just means they have pretty low standards for what defines an honor student.
arrowfanman Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 ^ Not necessarily. It could simply mean that when their population is 4 times the size of ours and achievment in school is directly proportional to worth in society, they naturally have more honor students. -Jahan

I'd certainly believe that their average student is better than the average US student. That's not saying much. But, they are not a country overflowing with geniuses. Heck, you can find cadavers laying around the street in India. How smart can they be? I do know that math is extremely emphasized in India, and you are thus highly advised to avoid Indian professors for math here in the US. Accuracy in math is so beat into their heads over there that they are extremely unforgiving in grading.
CommanderLock Posted February 26, 2007 Posted February 26, 2007 That's 108 million souls lost to MySpace...sigh...
onewheeled999 Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I have only one word to say about that video: Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang. Nice find, Ryan! I love that site!
