Then a smoke machine is set off to look like theres a wheelspin on the train then off you fly! Truly awesome! lol

I liked TTD's because I had to sit in the ride for thirty minutes. The train that I was in would not latch onto the cable, then after about fifteen minutes, the train latced. Then the train that I was in rolled back. Then the ops had to roll the train that was behind us, because I was in the front train, and then the ops got mad at the train and launched us at what I was told was around 123 mph to get the train to go over the hill, my train went over the hill but going faster than it was designed to and we had major air going up and over the hill. Well anywho, the launch lights (the red, yellow, and green lights on the top hat and nexted to the launch) and the sound was great, even though I had to listen to it for 30 minutes.

ZATURNs is pretty cool too, just the beeping along would be awsome.

SUperman Escape has a Superman Voice-over. He says;

I guess thats the only ride that says anything that i've been on.

I like how the soundtrack on California Screamin goes along with the launching plus the weird voice that says, launching in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1... Launch. It's fun!

I changed the topic abit since I rememberd there are non launch coasters with stuff too! Like TG:JTC at Carowinds! When the ops ok everything you hear a "Clear for take-off" It's sweet! And Top Gun kicks major ass.

My favorites aren't on launched coasters, two not even on coasters.

 

Mindbender's is really creepy, there's a distant voice, kind of like the one in the Millennium Force promo video, but.. creepier, and she says something to the effect of "Welcome to Mindbender. Please keep your arms inside the ride at all times, keep your head straight, and hold on." Then there's a horn and it goes up the lift.

 

Space Shot's is even creepier, it's got this spacey music with the climatic horror music type of sounds going on, and there's a very chilling voice that says: "Welcome to space shot. This is an intense thrill ride that will launch you 120 feet high, with you feeling 4.5 G's on the way up. Are you ready? 5...4...3...*launch*" When I was riding it was very freaky, because when we were on, we were moving up, at the prelaunch area, and then she's very close to the countdown section, and then our restraints all popped open, turns out a kid freaked out, started bawling and wanted off the ride, so they brought it back down and coaxed him off. Locked our restraints and then sent us up. Definitely freaky though.

 

On Orbiter, the ride op at our fair basically gives us instructions. "Here we go! Remember, the louder you scream, the faster we go!"

 

Then mid ride he'll ask "Do you want to go faster?!" *screams* "I can't hear you!" *AHHHHHHHHHHHHH* "Alright, here we go!"

 

It's fun on Himalayas when they ask that question too, even though they usually don't do anything.

Including non-launchers, I think Cedar Point pretty much takes the cake. The ride ops will spiel about the ride half the time, and for the other half, its some cool pre-ride thing. I think my fave is Iron Dragon, where they said "Over the river and through the woods....See you back in the station in 1:40." Or something to that degree (which works nicely, since the ride actually goes over a river and through the woods." Also, TTD and MF have excellent station music that really gets you pumped for the ride..

I personally really liked the one guy who worked on Steel Force back in 2005. He would say "All clear dispatch. Enjoy your 2,460 inches of DROP!" It was so awesome!

El Toro: (in the station) Dispatch all clear, (on the lift through the speakers) don't worry guys it's only 180 ft tall with an 81 degree drop, it's not THAT bad.
