mcjaco
That's pretty cool Ryan. I had a friend in High School that was part of Civil War re-enactment unit. He was part of the drum & bugle corp and loved it. That last picture is really sweet!

weeow
I love learning about all the historical wars and stuff like that. I love watching the History Channel. I never knew you reenacted them. Now you're even cooler than I thought!
Homer
Did you get your troops wasted on S'more Schnapps and almost take over America?
Coaster Palooza
My Aunt and Uncle re-enact the Civil War, and have done so for years. He actually was the person who found (created) his unit. We were there 2 years ago for Memorial Day Weekend when they were re-enacting at Greenfield Village. A separate note, it looks like Guy in one of the pictures you have. Is it me, or does this look like Guy?
Wes
I didn't know they had palm trees in civil war battlefields. Reminds me of this Mr. Show sketch...
the sound
If i lived in America, i might help out if they had an American Revolution re-inactment. I did a Powerpoint on the American Revolution. They chucked tea into the Harbour.

Blue0ctane
Heh, that partially reminded me of the South Park episode when they did the Civil War reenactment but Cartman, as usual, screwed everything up. Eventually, everybody got drunk off of S'more Schnapps and became obsessed with the Confederation. Go figure.
What Now
I've been to a couple Rendevous'. I've dressed up as people from all different time periods. I'll post pictgures later (none are are my computer right now).

I did a Powerpoint on the American Revolution. They chucked tea into the Harbour. Yeah the Boston Tea Party was pretty cool. I like history but I don't think I would do anything like this unless I get to shoot someone with a PanzerSchreck or maybe a MP44 or a Gewehr 43. Only know these because I play Call of Duty. Yeah I'm a WWII freak.
Ryan King
Damn...I cant find the WW2 Pics on my computer. But at those reenactments we have a Sherman come out there and fight with us. On one ocassion we were doing a reenactment at an old air force base..and they let us break out windows and run the tanks through the buildings. It was REALLY bad ass...god..where ARE those pictures!?!? -Ryan
ginzo
Coaster Enthusiast + Civil War Reenactor = never getting laid for the rest of your natural life. You're going to need to make up for those nerdy hobbies by doing some super macho stuff, like wrestling crocs or BASE jumping.

Yellow Jacket
What rifle do you use? I have an Enfield (Civil War era--but apparently not sold to US or CSA) hanging on the wall at home; however, it would need a little work to be in firing condition.
