ParkTrips Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 the pictures tell it all After eating, I dumped the nasty stuff in the woods. It would have stunk up the house. That ends this abomination of a meal. mmm... sausage and cheese burrito. But it could have used more of both =/ OK I got rid of some of the shells, and now it was edible. .. another look at the behemoth of a taco I guess this will work.. but it didn't. I used 4 tortilla shells and that was far too many! Hm. That probably could have used more than 5 mins in the oven. Time to get the "thing" I was cooking out, and I didn't want to add any more crapiness by burning myself, so I picked up a mitt.. yup, I kinda made a mess in my mom's kitchen Joey would KILL for something this size I really don't know what to do with it, no way in hell will I eat it now Oven POV now that I cleaned that up, into the oven it goes My seal didn't work too well. When I picked it up, I had a little accident. Son of a.. OK its now ready to go in the oven, I just have to seal it up I figured I'd throw it into the tortilla shells with cheese... Looks done to me, time to bring it into the kitchen and do something with it I gave up on the meat and sauce, and made sure not to mess up the sausage outside.. No amount of spice in the world could salvage this disaster BUT, I will try to cover it up if I can.. That looks WAY too tomato-y for me. ok so I wasn't sure what to do with the sauce - use it for dipping, or mix it in. I mixed it in! I made the grave mistake of seeing what was in the croc pot... ewwwww heh, it's like I am at home wow that's pretty nasty mmm... meat... now to drain the meat Back outside, the sausages are starting to look good ... and one last pic for Dan!! Here's one for Wally, to show that my stepdad helps pay his salary, grrr Let's turn the oven on too... I guess the caption could also be "Hi Joey!" mmm... browning beef Time to start the stove OK I can leave these smoking out here for a while... back inside Hi Elissa!! alright, time to fire it up let's go clean off the grille.. here is what I bought at the store, and what I will be working with today. Hmmm, what can I do?
CoasterFanatic Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 You could have bought a $1 pouch of Ol' El Paso and made your life a little bit easier. Please post more cooking TRs. These are great.
mcjaco Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Joe, you really do have too much time on your hands.
SharkTums Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 It boggles my mind that someone of your um 'size' could mess up food so well!
Meteornotes Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 This was all kinds of awesome. What the hell was in that crock pot? Leftover Taco Bell food?!? You were using McCormick spices, so at least one good ingredient went into that culinary experiment. dt
terrancew_hod Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Err, So what was your goal when you passed Wendy's and headed into Publix for your festive meal? I know a triple bacon cheese burger would have cost as much as the jar of tomato sauce. And if you ate that ground beef-tomato sauce-chili pepper- red pepper creation, the next shots would have been of the toilet paper roll! Terrance
CoasterFanatic Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 You were using McCormick spices, so at least one good ingredient went into that culinary experiment. I was actually going to say something about that. not only are you paying Wally's wage, but also Mary's.
the sound Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 You could have bought a $1 pouch of Ol' El Paso and made your life a little bit easier. Yeah. Old el Paso is way easier and better tasting then homemade "Mystery Sauce". Nice work on stuffing up cooking some food Jow.

I'm hungry again now, but I will stick to a bowl of Apple Jacks since that is always good.
arrowfanman Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 Yessss! A food PTR! Joe has returned! I think instead of Rachel Ray, it should be Joe with his face on all of the cracker-boxes! -Jahan
DerekRx Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 I'd still like to know what Joe was thinking when he thru tomato sauce on hamburger while he was making a sausage taco/burrito. What was the proposed final meal supposed to be?? And 5 minutes in the oven! Joe totally needs his own cooking show on Food Network!
niiicolaaah Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 I think he just cooked up a bunch of random stuff in the hopes that inspiration would come to him somewhere along the way.
Masked_Maverick Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 At least you tried man better luck next time you try another cooking TPR
ParkTrips Posted December 14, 2006 Author Posted December 14, 2006 Yes I did, with hot water. If you're not supposed to do that, oh well, my mom does it too so I doubt I will be solely responsible for effing something up.
mcjaco Posted December 14, 2006 Posted December 14, 2006 I think he just cooked up a bunch of random stuff in the hopes that inspiration would come to him somewhere along the way. I often get inspiration from my sausage too.
