Six Flags Milwaukee

Recommended Posts

Many people around Wisconsin were buzzing with excitement when Six Flags owner Mark Shapiro announced yesterday that the Six Flags family will be adding a new member to it's theme park chain. Six Flags Milwaukee will start construction soon after winter and will open in 2008. Not much is known about the next Six Flags. What is known is that a rollercoaster called Flashback, built by Vekoma in the Netherlands, will begin construction soon after Christmas. Also, Shapiro hinted at building a giant rollercoaster by saying "It will be a monstrous ride, surpassing anything before it."

Construction photos to come soon.

O.K. all SFM enthusiasts, construction has halted for the winter. But don't worry, the Milwaukee Journal will post some pictures soon. Some facts about SFM:

-The "monsterous addition" is a gigantic Intamin plug-'n-play woodie called "El Munstro".

-Flashback has been put together and tested.

-An unknown Intamin multi-looper has been constructed. It seems to have a city theme and is being known as "Project-X".

Pics will be posted soon!

Okay, because I found that I didn't really like my first try, I have redone the entire park. Just pretend that the first update never happened.

Flashback: So now, I present to you, Six Flags Milwaukee!

13.jpg.8a19cf28f930481764b0d40fee5cf74d.jpg

To end the update, an awesome pic of a hot lift hill. Doesn't it just make you all hot and bothered?

12.jpg.ef4adfa29752078ff7fcb0e93bff1985.jpg

A better idea of the layout of the unknown Vekoma.

11.jpg.68f9da45cd4e25789a27c62e4385cc04.jpg

The second and third hills, the 65* turnaround, and the bunny hills.

10.jpg.bb2d2a3800d453e1795278ef1f60b0d4.jpg

The 86* first drop (yeah, it's THAT steep!), the first hill, and the figure-8 turnaround.

9.jpg.aab5ca2b30a5a27c89e944a32ae50df4.jpg

The ending twists on El Munstro. Yummy Intamin.

8.jpg.860e689b9d657c5d59962481f708d1c6.jpg

Groundbreaking on Road Runner Express has begun. Soon, kiddies will be riding this and puking their guts out. HA!

7.jpg.51c9e08db2a2ca2867f339ec36dd887b.jpg

Enigma, a mini B&M floorless, is still being built. Lots of construction all around.

6.jpg.423e2bb621000d27e0369fc516172eae.jpg

A new unnamed terrain coaster by Vekoma is being built. Like it? YOU'D BETTER!

5.jpg.c435ed3ce48100e4d5ff283a0b22833d.jpg

El Munstro's new station. I like it MUCH better than before.

Project X. Have any guesses yet at what it will be?

3.jpg.2a372cf778a64d9f7418ebb10c2d6fbf.jpg

The new El Munstro. Still kicks major ass.

2.jpg.b134d7e18056503636a8ec6da47c235d.jpg

Flashback. Not as bad as it could be with those new Vekoma MK trains.

Here is the entrance. No big deal.

Hey people, it's Andrew a.k.a. Golfie, and I have found out some info on a new ride going up at SFM.

After school, I got into the park through the back vehicle entrance and what did I see? TRACK! Yes, red Schwarzkopf track lying near the back of the park, waiting to be assembled.

After asking around with some of the employees, I found out that this is in fact a Schwarzkopf looper that used to operate in Europe. I only came up with 1 photo, but stay tuned for more.

14.jpg.1c87fe53e41b9fda3d45853c32295366.jpg

See? Red track and black brakes. I don't know if Six Flags will change it at all, but we'll see.

O.k, I know it's been a long time since an update, but Six Flags has been very hush hush since Golfie's last update. The park is nearly finished and opening day is set for late June. Keep an eye out for the final update. Golfie has been nice enough to go on opening day and get some pics!

Hey there, this Golfie. Even though I took my case with Trevor to the high court and lost, I still got to go to Six Flags Milwaukee. Too bad Benzo didn't get to go, he got in trouble with the police again. Something about them finding one of his "labs".

Anyway, here is my pic report!

65.jpg.456f34a11d4ca53dde9f2203dc51ab51.jpg

The end of the day. Six Flags Milwaukee is a slam dunk. You HAVE to come out here at least once!

64.jpg.dc07441f0cc5ce78824b19afae6912d3.jpg

Aww, the end of my last ride of the day. =( =( =(

63.jpg.bbdac5b676dd413a26710fc65c256995.jpg

The last air hill. =(

62.jpg.136156424cdd377075bdf2e1bfb12cd4.jpg

Once again, the fast and insane figure-8 turnaround.

61.jpg.c2d6e1404f8c09c7eda03f24fef2d0d5.jpg

Random people having a non-stapled lap bar slam their mid section. =)

60.jpg.6ffdddd371ef109e1012f180d21e82a8.jpg

INTAMIN SCRAAAAPE!

59.jpg.e0568c994696605c63a06f545c152cbf.jpg

Right now I'm being massively ejected into deep space.

86 freeking degrees baby!

57.jpg.6f1a09550c9203da8badf194ccaa5416.jpg

Such a great ride, I HAD to do it again before the crowds invaded.

56.jpg.542e38f97fa2e47febdeb1f4e83563c9.jpg

Dude! WTF! Flashback rocked! Must be those new MK trains...

55.jpg.4e99cce57f41c342fcb41b3e7d9ad522.jpg

I put it off as long as I could...

54.jpg.4230688438d3dca7700f44d2f6b23ab1.jpg

Man, those crowds are pretty relentless!

53.jpg.dd251075393aff354e77aa8130d75eea.jpg

Yeah, getting off the train. OMG those lines look bad. :omg:

52.jpg.07707e1c19d07db037ff59a9fab9408a.jpg

Getting on the train again.

51.jpg.80e71dd672d0382428f004fc536982c0.jpg

Had to ride Avalanche again. Good ride.

50.jpg.e4b4d2a7b0d58a2f5f51bb012e2b9c49.jpg

Rush and Breakdance. Rush runs a REALLY insane program. It actually made me sick. Breakdance was fun. 'nuff said.

49.jpg.4e263978d0509dec02a53d164e761454.jpg

Into the brakes. 8.5/10

Goddamn trim brakes! :x

46.jpg.df526c4cf8beaa438b4779574ac8972b.jpg

45.jpg.2e5ee1ead3805109e7d9dc3c18ec6e55.jpg

Enigma's station.

44.jpg.b6fd439ad9b347bc932375dccafc5445.jpg

But OMG I LOVED Enigma's entrance. Fire makes everything cooler. =)

43.jpg.260924457a6819cbc41f68870394718a.jpg

Moving on to Midtown. I liked the cool entrance.

42.jpg.901f64cd26f3c0cb5ae738eb9298b67e.jpg

I wanted to hit Road Runner Express, but the line was pretty awful.

41.jpg.ec17ebabc870607dc956ad80e3f09486.jpg

Pulling into the station. Uh oh it's starting to look busy...

40.jpg.c1ad8312a617b8ac8fa126e8e36aba8d.jpg

Chuggin' by Storm Force and the Eye In The Sky.

39.jpg.1f83b0811c085406a1a4fef0c3c3ca72.jpg

Enigma flying into the enclosed corkscrew.

38.jpg.42ee966aa7c066f16f195033a6ee3e28.jpg

We even got to race Enigma. Too bad we lost. =(

37.jpg.c887695eb0a1aee3a3a0a35ac64ceefc.jpg

Oh yeah, we also got to chug by Enigma.

36.jpg.8cacb286a05571fa9f28d2a890bc8417.jpg

Chuggin' past Rush and Breakdance.

35.jpg.fefc5724c0e55f318467acd5d4ca49ce.jpg

Next I took the train to the front of the park.

34.jpg.c066f9bedb6bfa0d1056fbdd5add5096.jpg

With a 5 minute wait, I had to ride it again.

33.jpg.638fada5bf54b6313a2d60d56062145a.jpg

This is were the path took me next...

32.jpg.c78566977dc25bf254395c8770d6b92a.jpg

Both the station and the ride were pretty cool. 7/10

31.jpg.d2653f4e64aca6edf9444c67c82715cd.jpg

Ahh, so this is what that Schwarzkopf looper was, a Katapult.

30.jpg.933dba565f1b55787edb34bc65b270a7.jpg

SKOOOOSH! OMG!

29.jpg.c1c89150c39a92e802057dca666694ff.jpg

These people aren't very smart...

28.jpg.99d4896ee3fe13097830b00a780ce53c.jpg

Next I tackled Whitewater Rampage, a really non Dan approved ride. =)

27.jpg.9561cfb7d7aba2ccd9de790407611e21.jpg

Into the brakes. 7.5/10

26.jpg.d275ce9d044bf88d51e7916362264bb9.jpg

Once again the ending seemed a little weak, but it was still fun.

25.jpg.e8b8b0d0f84f489976036b95bdb797ea.jpg

Believe it or not, there is actually some airtime on this cool family coaster.

24.jpg.a2e969035700fcd1cbebe3dad6b89e3c.jpg

The first drop is pretty cool, especially in the back seat.

23.jpg.eeab481314ae6a49e2548c1eeaea71fe.jpg

Next up, Avalanche, a Vekoma family coaster.

22.jpg.db09fd7c9e724af47af681c7434bd432.jpg

Oops. I realized that I missed Midtown. Oh well, I guess I can do that later...

21.jpg.8cfeedc4402550f68df9dc9686946b86.jpg

Into the brakes. 9/10

20.jpg.487556e09d13c3427bafc8f38f722837.jpg

A train entering the enclosed triple roll. Fun stuff!

19.jpg.732d7796a56aa7f71f7296c7adf764c6.jpg

It's actually really smooth! Much better than Colossus...

18.jpg.9c00cd03c008f489e3501a561ef1c587.jpg

Weeee!

17.jpg.2850bd23759698b35aae013196b1ea58.jpg

This is Batman The Escape, a custom Intamin looper with 8-inversions.

16.jpg.0984379d5965c121c59e306412ec1940.jpg

I can't believe nobody ever figured this out.

15.jpg.03b106becb8e34fb7482f9cf7307504c.jpg

After El Munstro I wandered over to the Wave Swinger. Nothing special but fun.

14.jpg.c74e4803f66d715ec113e7d9367c0fe1.jpg

Into the brakes. 10/10

13.jpg.7f03b67a6fc283dc095acb0e1c5c02a4.jpg

Compared to the massive air hills the ending twists seemed a little tame. Still forceful!

12.jpg.6264abf80b1aa2a871377fa7c358b282.jpg

Yet more airtime.

11.jpg.1eb39b874a08e9f14ae92e02510b29b2.jpg

More super airtime.

10.jpg.6fef8cd53d28d9dca29f4dcc40700578.jpg

9.jpg.4060978301e332d7a6913dd412c3ad0c.jpg

Some more GREAT airtime.

8.jpg.dcd49e4bcff33220a003214b1c08913c.jpg

The fast and forceful turnaround.

7.jpg.97331354e54392e3c8a52bd29c490b6c.jpg

Uber-massive airtime!

6.jpg.9b281e041adf68996181a8465d36da47.jpg

ZOMYGOD!

5.jpg.af59ddeb37682103d7f8f02cc2638341.jpg

Holy crap this is pretty high...

4.jpg.af9a519b8ee3b407f97355ccb6ade2c3.jpg

Going up the lift, I actually feel a little nervous...

3.jpg.5420b17970be01267be4de4013e961bf.jpg

The cool station.

2.jpg.f4512001877e9ae678f38f887610ed52.jpg

I SPRINTED to El Munstro right when the park opened and got on the second train EVER!

1.jpg.d6786d13fa51327e66cbd3eb242ffb76.jpg

Here we are at the entrance. For some reason it wasn't too crowded at first, but wait until later...
