LaurenceUK
I have just come back from Port Aventura after a very enjoyable 2 week stay and decided to post some of my pics here as a taster for all of you who are going to the park on the TPR trip next year. This is my first ever Photo TR on TPR so I hope its alright! And to finish, me and Vampire Woody! As I said above, this is my first ever post on here so I hope it is ok. Any ideas?! That would be my kind of theme park! Yep, Intamin track for the 2007 coaster. Mmmmmm, looks like Intamin track to me. A view of Dragon Khan from the top of Condor. What is that I see just to the right of the dive loop? The themeing of the station is excellent. The Mexico area of the park includes the huge Intamin drop tower, Hurakan Condor. Stampida...through the trees! This ride is getting new KumbaK trains for next year. Stampida, the parks racing CCI woodies. Welcome to Far West and the Grand Canyon Rapids. The Khan bunnies love corkscrews! A panoramic view showing all 8 inversions, the most on any B&M. Moving onto China with the monster that is Dragon Khan! ...yes, that is gum! It is stuck everywhere onto the roof of the cave. Disgusting! It is also very well themed. Going into one of the caves through the rides course. However, this cave contains a dirty secret... Tutuki Splash, a Shoot-The-Chutes ride. Kon-Tiki Wave, well themed Pirate Ship style ride. Aloha to Polynesia! The entrance land of the park: Mediterrania. The Halloween themed park entrance. matteocrepaldi
Nice TR; the first shot of Dragon Khan from the tower is one of the best shot of DK I've ever seen. Port Aventura is one of the park I'd love to visit the most!!!
pkdcoaster
Great Aerial picture of Kahn. The sign-My guess would be Cut the Water off. Thanks for the pics, JEFF
Alexander Nagel
This is truely a awesome looking park that really looks as if the detail put into it is on par with IoA. As for the Kumbak trains for Stampida, they look like crap...no padding what so ever on the lapbars or in the seats. Your ass is going to miss the 9 inches of foam padding the PTCs have. LaurenceUK
Thanks for all your nice comments, they make me feel warm and fuzzy inside! I have now uploaded all my videos to YouTube, you can see them here if you so wish. Also, everyone who was asking for a full res version of the Dragon Khan pic, click here. Warning though, it is an uncompressed 10 million pixel file so its about 4.5MB! It was also taken at a 16:9 ratio, so if you are wanting to display it as a wallpaper on a standard ratio screen then it may look weird. Thanks again for all your comments! USRoadTripper
*sniff* I miss PortAventura more and more with each TR Why must it be halfway across the world?? I spotted that "don't take your shirt off" sign too and thought it was hilarious! Thanks for taking the time to post! -Julie
