DenDen Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Ok, you may cringe, freak out, then laugh your butt off. (This was my reaction...) NBC6 Miami reporter starts with... "Ok now this next story is quite distrubing, so you may want to leave the room for a second..." The story, a 400 pound man was cremated. The fat content in his body liquified, and started a grease fire, and burned down the funeral parlor. Now, it's strange that, this sounds too funny to be true. I cannot find anything about this on the internet. Could NBC6 Miami been duped? Wouldn't be the 1st time the media was burned! Disgutingly histerical, none the less.
IceDragon Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 lmao! whats up with that??? lol, thats probably the funniest thing ever!
Twister II Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 All I can think of is a piece of bacon in a fry pan splattering grease everywhere.

SLUSHIE Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 "Firefighters rarely see these kind of fires." o rly?
USRoadTripper Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 The crematorium is back in business and the funeral director said they'll notify the family to assure them their loved one wasn't harmed. Isn't that the point of cremation? hahaha -Julie

IceDragon Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 1) a dead person wouldnt feel pain 2) he asked to be cremated 3) dead people cant (normally) speak wtf??? this is the strangest thing in the world!!!
goleafsgo Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 2) he asked to be cremated 3) dead people cant (normally) speak You ask to be cremated in your will.
CoasterEricHP Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 Haha I heard this on some radio show last week.. My family owns a funeral home in PA and the crematory that we take people to has had some similar incidents.. that's so sad that a person can start a grease fire!
Calvin Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 You know, there are federal regulations that protect against this happening, only if cremation parlors would actually follow these laws.
Real Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 The crematorium is back in business and the funeral director said they'll notify the family to assure them their loved one wasn't harmed. Isn't that the point of cremation? hahaha -Julie Yea...I was about to post that line. The body was dead, and being burned to ashes. Cant really think of any way it could be harmed more during the cremation process. :\
stormrunner_grrl9996 Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Um..........thats..............sorta creepy.........
odene497 Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 Wow I can't really put what I'm feeling into words that's so messed up
cfc Posted November 4, 2006 Posted November 4, 2006 This reminds me of an "ad" in Mad Magazine back when I was in junior high--for "Colonel Harlan Cinder's Kentucky Fried Crematoriums." Wow--you can cremate the deceased and provide the oil for cooking the post-funeral meal. What a deal!
