SharkTums Posted October 14, 2006 Author Posted October 14, 2006 ^You're 14, I don't expect you to understand.
CoasterExpert13 Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 ^^lol and ^lol.....I think Nintendo systems always have had great game line-ups...
Vekoma Fan Boy Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 I want to buy a Wii! But nooooooo my dad has to wait for a $500 PS3 to be released instead of a $250 wii.
Masked_Maverick Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 ^ Sorry to hear that man I hope he comes to his senses before it is too late.
Golfie Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I'll probably end up getting one 13 days before Christmas (Mah BYRFDHAY!) Otherwise, sooner. It rocks splitting the dough 3 ways with my two sisters!
coasterguy618 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 The Wii will rule all next gen consoles. The graphics may not be amazing, but the gameplay looks addicting and extremely fun. I was thinking about pre-ordering one, but then I decided I think its not gonna be very hard to buy one. Gaven "4,000,000 > 400,000" D'Ambra
goleafsgo Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Gaven "4,000,000 > 400,000" D'Ambra lol. the amount of Wiis that are getting shipped doesnt make it a better console.

Im not saying its a better system read what I said right before that. I cleary said it should be prettty easy to get a Wii.
goleafsgo Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 lol, sorry, didnt see that part. but i think you will still need to pre-order one, unless you dont mind getting one of the 2nd shipment.
tacoking Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 There will be more than 400,000 PS3's at launch...just 400,000 for the US. And the 4 million number for the Wii is worldwide until the end of the year. So that statement makes no sense.
Golfie Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 The graphics may not be amazing... Animal Crossing doesn't have that great of graphics. Is that because the GCN can't produce great graphics? No - it's because that is how the artists and developers envisioned and created the game. The Wii is supposed to meet and/or surpass PS2's graphics.
goleafsgo Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Thats pretty crappy to only have ps2 graphics and be called "next-gen" yes, yes, yes, i know it has the weird controller, but not having good graphics kinda doesnt let you feel as 'in the game' as you would with the ps3. P.S sorry for turning this into a PS3 vs Wii argument...
tacoking Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 ^ Haha, I will refrain from making it any worse.
TheStig Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Why cant you kids just shut up and go buy a Dreamcast, sheesh! Colin C
Zen Coaster Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 The graphics still look very good and I'm sure developers will push the system to its limits. But what matters most is the gameplay & how innovative it is: and that is one respect that the Wii will be very hard to beat.
Angry_Gumball Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 To me, Wii and PS3 is like DS and PSP....PSP boasts its fancy graphics and um...ok, wifi? video? music? My DS can do the same except surf the web. To me, I care more about the gameplay and creativity. Graphics are bonus points. I know many people who were excited about PSP but now could care less about it and actually show interest in the DS or borrow their friend's DS. And speaking of Wii, our local Target doesn't have preorders (dunno if they will) but they already started setting up the Wii display cabinet and started to sell accessories (Rubberized controller cover, disc cases, sling bags for storing your wii). How much are wii looking at spending on games anyway? (sorry, I had to...)
tacoking Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 Heh, the DS can surf the web now. At least in Japan. The browser won't be released in the USA until next year I think... And Nintendo has said their games will be $49.99 while third parties make thier own decision on prices, although Nintendo recommended the $49 price point.

The only thing the Wii has over the PS3 is the controller, which im not really sure about anyway. The PS3 has a blu-ray player and the best grahpics out of any console... Plus, the Wii doesnt even play DVDs (I think)

goleafsgo Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 I will bet you 50e-dollars right now that you will have to line up and pre-order a Wii...
Carnage Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 But you could still get one from a store. Sony is expecting to ship what 400,000 PS3s at launch? Good luck getting one before next years coaster season starts.
