Sorry to hear that, will do. Hopefully everything turns out ok. I love animals and would be kinda bummed to hear your friend died.

I will keep him in my prayers. Good luck, and let us know how it turns out.

UPDATE!

We were able to take Miles home yesterday. He's eating a special diet and drinking on his own, so he no longer needs the IV in his leg. He's still very sick, and will have to eat low residue food the rest of his life, but at least he made it through the weekend, as there was indeed some doubt he would. Thanks for everyone who thought of my family, especially my brother (Who picked Miles out, named him, and has been away at college the entire time he's been ill) He's almost like himself for 10 minutes or so, then he just sleeps. The vet says sleep is the best thing for him, and NO TREATS at all for at LEAST 2 months. Thanks again to everybody.

Glad hes doing better. I had a touch and go situation with my pup back in July when he jumped the fence out of the yard and got hit by a car. He lost one hind leg and almost lost the other when it got "degloved", but they were able to save it.

Its mid oct. and his remaining hind leg is about fully healed - finally.

Sounds like good news. Diets for dogs can be really touchy sometimes. My wife forbids me to feed the dogs anything but dog food.

As she very well should! Pancreatitis often DEVELOPS from too much fatty food in a dog's diet. Their bodies are not equipped to deal with that.

Please let us know if everything is all right with the pup. My dog was sick about 6 weeks ago and did not make it. She had an aneurism in her stomach. I hope yours is ok.

This was her.
