robbalvey
Hey there European members!! Thanks very much for all your helpful information. Our big Europe trip is only just a few weeks away now, and we have pretty much finalized our plans. If anyone is availabe to meet up, it would be great seeing some people from the site and put some faces to the names and be able to hang out for a bit. Here is our current plans: 16-Jun Walibi Belguim 17-Jun Bobejaaland 18-Jun Walibi World 19-Jun Farup Sommerland 20-Jun Tusenfryd 21-Jun Liseberg 22-Jun Bakken + Tivoli 23-Jun Bon Bon Land + Hansa Park (maybe) 24-Jun Heide Park 25-Jun Movie Park Germany + Toverland 26-Jun Phantasialand + Klotten Park 27-Jun Holiday Park 28-Jun Europa Park 29-Jun Mirabilandia 30-Jun Gardaland + Movie Park/Aqualand 1-Jul Walibi Rhone-Alps + Nigloland 2-Jul Walibi Lorraine + Disneyland Paris 3-Jul Disneyland Paris 4-Jul Asterix + Disneyland Paris I don't see these plans changing since we've already got hotel rooms, etc, but if you'd like to meet up with us please PM or email me and let's try to arrange something! Also, just like we did with our Japan trip, we will try to have daily updates on the fourm with brief trip reports and a couple of photos! Looking forward to the trip! --Robb
Hattuchili
Hey Robb, that sounds very good. I think it would be great to meet some members from the boards in Europe. I hope you have a great time in Europe and it will be as good as your Japan trip. I think every member on the boards can not wait to read your daily photo TRs! --Soeren
Thuur
I maybe at work in Toverland when you're visiting I hope you planned everything well. Walibi World to Farup is a 12 hour drive. Bon-Bon to Hansa is only possible when it's not crowded in both parks. I suggest you only visit Asterix on the 4th of July since it's always crowded in Asterix. I hope the plan works out well since the driving distances between most park are huge!
robbalvey
I maybe at work in Toverland when you're visiting I hope you planned everything well. Walibi World to Farup is a 12 hour drive. Yes, we saw this on the map. :o Our plan is to leave Walibi World a bit early that day, probably around 16:00 or 17:00 and drive until about midnight, then get up around 8:00 and drive the rest of the way to Farup. We should get to the park around noon. Hansa is totally going to be a "bonus" park for us if we happen to get out of Bon Bon early and there is no traffic. How long would you say the drive between those two parks is? We budgeted 3 hours including the ferry. See you at work at Toverland!!! --Robb
Shadowforce
Three hours from Bonbonland to Rodby-Puttgarden and on to Hansapark may be a tad optimistic, although it is possible. Perhaps Hansapark has some "arrive after 4 pm." tickets, I'd say it was worth it, the Scwartzkopf is sweet, and the wild mouse is just pretty damn fun. I don't know how you value riding stuff at parks, but if you're anything like me and want to try to ride everything decent-looking, Bonbonland could easily take up half a day. But there is only three, perhaps 4, "good" rides at the park. Ps: Did you receive my latest PM? It seems to be stuck in the "outbox" folder. robbalvey
I think I did get your last PM - the one with the ViaMichelin link? That IS a good site..it's the one we've been using to get all our information! If Hansa is open later that will be GREAT for us, then. We're planning 9:30 - 14:00 at Bon Bon, and then 3 hours to Hansa. That will only give us an hour at Hansa, but that would be enough for a 'quick' visit to get the coasters in. If it turns out that we are having a REALLY good time at Bon Bon and want to stay longer, we just won't hit Hansa park. I agree that I like to spend as much time as possible, and would only leave a park early if I felt I got everything done I wanted to do. --Robb
Shadowforce
Yea, it was the correct PM. Sorry I couldn't offer any more help. It is important to note that even on a busy day, lines are virtually nonexistant. There can be quite the crowd in Tivoli if the weather is very good, even though the worst will have gone home come evening. I'd still like to know if it's a problem that some of my friend from Themeparkdenmark comes along. I don't know the exact number, but alot of them said that they'd really like to meet you. I guess you have fans everywhere?
deathmole
I would (if you dont mind) like to fly out to Amsterdam and travel to Walibi World, I'd love to ride Goliath, and generally meet you guy's - you seem cool. Plus I just checked, flights are only £90 - reasonable, theres some convinient times too, yeyness! I shall see, if its cool?
SharkTums
For everyone asking if they can 'meet up', Of course!!! That's why we've posted our schedule here. I just want to make sure that everyone understands don't go too far out of your way in case anything happened and we were at a park late, or had to leave early...basically don't plan a trip around us! That being said, we'd love to meet up with as many people as we can! The more the merrier! Elissa "you'll all be in our next video!" Alvey

SharkTums
Yes, we'd like to go back to the UK probably sometime next year. Elissa "there will be a lot of new rides for us since we were there in 2002!" Alvey
Morcar
Yeah next year looks good for new stuff for you. Nice new ride at Drayton Manor opening this year (barnstorm). BPP seems to have cancelled there new coaster at present but theres a couple of interesting 'flat rides' since your last visit. I can recommend Spin Doctor it's great. They are promising some new stuff next year but I don't know what it' gonna include yet. Rita at Alton Towers looks good (hoping to go in June) and Thorpe Parks new rides look great. I really hope that you can get over hear It would be a thrill to meet up with you all.
Wuzerama
@Elissa, like Rainer from onride.de told me you´re in contact about a meeting in Movie Park ?! Of course that would be really great but don´t be shocked about all the "crazy german guys" even when they "caught some dolphins" Bye Mario

Thuur
Bon Bon to Hansa is about 3 hours to 3,5 hours. The problem is the ferry. If you just missed it, it takes longer of course. About Bakken/Tivoli, I suggest you first go to Bakken and in the evening go to Tivoli (15 min drive. I also did both parks on the same day. 11:00-17:00 Bakken, 17.30-00:00 Tivoli. Worked out well). If Tivoli is opened till midnight, stay as long as possible! Tivoli is really, really, really great at night! It's my number two park. I really love it. I maybe coming to Walibi, depending on if I have to work at Toverland. If you're leaving Farup (We where bored after 5 hours, so it doesn't take much time), you can also go to Tivoliland in Aalborg. It's a 20/25 minute drive from Farup. They have a weird Pinfari Big Apple with spinning station, the best boomerang ever and an Indiana Jones lay-out Pinfari (That ride is very funny!). If you're coming to Toverland, let me know about what time you'll be there. I'll be in the office so I can't see you entering the park. In Moviepark, first go to Ice Age, that's the most popular ride. But at the opening of the park, it's only a 10 minute wait usually. I got 4 coupons which for 50% of the entrance price. I can sent them to you or give them to you in Walibi World.
Shadowforce
Best Boomerang ever? Is it really so good? I've never got myself to go to Tivioli Friheden, it's just too expansive for what it offers. Though I'd still love to ride that wacky flat ride Pegasus.
SharkTums
^^Thanks for the advice Thuur! We are planning to be at Bakken for their Noon opening, then going to Tivoli right before dark, then staying pretty late. That's interesting about that Tivoliland park near Farup, maybe we'll check that out as I can see us being bored also! Thanks for the offer of the coupons, but we actually went ahead and bought the Walibi Belgium Season Passes that came with the free coupons for every other Walibi Park so we're all set for those parks! Elissa "it's so cool I have a pass for parks on another continent!" Alvey

I'll try to join to you etiher between (Phantasialand,Klotten,Holiday Park would interrest me) or after (Walibi Lorraine and Disneyland). For the 2nd of July, I'll have to go to my parent's home, and I need to go trough Paris. Even more, if you are interessted in My Lorraine's home has internet 20M. Walibi > My Home is 1h. My home > Disneyland is 3h (and free) In comparison Walibi > disneyland is a little bit more than 3h and 30€. Matthieu "What is the ratio time on road/time on coasters?" Galus.
